it is said for me to see that most people here cannot read. TH has explained everything very well. Just read his posts. To answer questions that keep coming up over and over and over and over:

1 If I logged on with a surge but turned glowie in the same day am I eligeble to be in the first group?

NO - TH has explicitly stated that you need to either UNLOCK before Patch 10, OR tohave theprerequesites of thenew system completed BEFORE Patch 10.

FALSE! Those are the ppl that seem to get visited most frequently right now. What TH explicitly stated is WRONG!

Oh I am more than upset...I am just being nice right now...lol...calculating... A guy in my guild that i've been helping who is 3 weeks new to the game just got it before me...I am happy for him, but it also makes me feel like my work I have put in doesn't mean anything. Why should I have to wait this long to do all of this? It shouldn't matter about an old man visit anyways, I get in the village and I am already 1 step from padawan, so why should I have to wait? There shouldn't be alot of unlockers inbetween 9-10, it wouldn't lag the system down to much.

It's been 3 days soon. I was glowing the moment I logged in after P10 and been searching every day since then.. Tried all "theories"(shuttling, visiting home, doing missions etc) but nothing makes him come to me. So if you are not lying, he HAS TO spawn to me within the next 12 hours. And I wouldnt count on that.

I was glowingwhenI logged on for the first time withP10 as well. I got the visit last night, so dont worry about it. He will come.

This problem was answered in the past i'm sure. I got a major concern. It says I wait for a visit from the old man. The I heard that I will be visited by two siths. I have to defeat on of em. If I die I will have to wait for another visit from the old man. Here is the problem, I am a dancer and a master ID. I have not a single fighting skill in me. There is no way I can beat em. Does this circle just continue or does the old man come back the second time and say "hey you know what you pretty much sucked so maybe jedi isn't for you ... now can I get a stat migration".

Back when it was being tested in TC2, my Sith camp spawned in the Bestine Starport, in a wall. I hope this doesn't happen on the live servers.

reckoning of effort huh? i hologrinded through 18 profession, tons of badges and other missions. have everything i have been told to have to get an "instant" visit from the old man. nothing. no old man, no anything. my guildy however who has done nothing for holos or badges or tried anything got a visit already. he wasn't even glowing. i was. what's the deal with this system? crap is what i call it. like everything else.

Maybe at last the Jedis get the same problems as we BH's?

Wow, that is a typically SOE improfment!

First of all the sith attackers are very weak and any combat novice should take them on easily, but the problem isn't with the difficulty of your adversaries, it's withyour lack of combative skills. You should have more than enough skill points to get far in any combat profession. Your given template only accounts for 183 SP, leaving 67 SP left. Adapt and overcome!

Grinded? How about ground?
The whole premise of this game is to Role Play and to be immersed in the Star Wars Saga. Grinding does nothing to support this. AFK dancers are one of the worse examples, the cantina is a joke. You used to be able to go socialize and have a good time in a cantina and now it is all spam with auto join messages. Medics, DOcs and CMs are another fine example. You use to be able to go to a med center and get healed from battles or hunting. Now you can hardly get their attention cause your little damage is not worth their time because they have tumblers who are AFK racking up damage and giving them tons of xp. Now granted I did my dancing xp afk but i did it in my towns cantina and did not spam the coronet cantina to death. If I went to Coro or Theed to dance I was there talking to people immersing myself in the game. I did my med xp with a friend who was tumbling but I went to a out of the way med center and did it all and he was not afk and niether was I.
As far as the economy I was here long before speeders were affordable and armor was everywhere and frankly the game was better. You had to work as a team to take down even some of the moderate creatures. This game is supposed to be a RP game and a team work game not a afk go to fort tusken and steal all the kills to get xp or geno caves and steal all the kills to get xp game. Until you have spent an afternoon at TUsken playing tag in the caves with 6 or 7 others while waiting for spawns do not tell me you have played the game cause all you are is a grinder who thinks the jedi is the end all and to be honest it will be the end all of the game cause they are out of control. Unless you are a jedi you can not do anything anymore cause the hog all of the content. Go to the Geno cave or the Jinda cave and Jedi are taking everything leaving nothing fo rthe groups that want to have fun and enjopythe content.

You are entitled to your opinion like anyone else, but it is just that, only an opinion. You measure how fun this games is based on your opinion, and i will measure it on mine. Don't assume your definition of RPG is the only one. By the way, how do you find out what profs you like and dislike, unless you grind them out and try them? Another purpose of this RPG is to explore the many prof combos, and to see what fits you best for now. However , tomorrow, you may want to be something else, and in the end, you still have to grind at somepoint. No one can nullify that by sayiing, i "play" and don't grind. BS. You had to grind to master any profession, it is the nature of any RPG in which you have to lvl to reach higher skills, etc.

Again, please do not define other peoples gameplay, based on how you think the game should be played. If you start paying for all of our accounts, then you can tell us how to play. Thank You

positive. he is very honest and a good friend. he was NOT glowing. i am pissed. apparently there is no rhyme or reason. SOE is dragging us around by our ignorance and i am sure getting a big kick out of it.
