Shortly after logging on today i took a shuttle to my guilds city. Approximately 20m from the shuttleport an NPC named "an old man" comes running up to me. They shot and killed one of the two stih before i could do anything, I killed the second one and my quest journal updated. But now, i could only loot the one corpse which had nothing on it. So now i am stuck, i need something that the two sith were supposed to drop to let me proceed with this path, but now am unable to. Does anyone from TC have any advice? Will the two Sith spawn again shortly and attack me again? Any and all help would be really appreciated.

please, no questions about what badges i have, or classes i have done, those issues have been raised too many times already

K i got main and Alt characters on shadowfire. Main is glowing 18 masters ,done 4 holo and no old man. (over a year old)

Alt has only mastered 3 , entertainer, dancer, and TKM, glowing and was visited. Never did holos with her. (Read a holo with her was DE but never did it.) she is almost a year old.

So how the hell is she getting visited and my main isnt. Makes me think this crap is random.

Why dont you stop bitching and use your **edit**ing heads for a minute.

First day nothing happens because the new system is monitoring players for certain attributes.
Second day the old man visits members of group one. (as he has today)
third day i think we can expect people to be getting visits from the sith. As well as group two starting to get visits from old man.
Fourth day while the first group is working their missions group two gets visits from the sith and are able to due the early missions.
fifth day etc
sixth day etc.

Maybe you should use your head yourself and check the facts. The groups are not working, ppl from group 4 are among the first to get visited, If you were standing in line for something and ppl in the back of the line got served first, would you be happy about that?

Nothing of what you posted is true, some have already encountered the sith on day two also.

NO - TH has explicitly stated that you need to either UNLOCK before Patch 10, OR tohave theprerequesites of thenew system completed BEFORE Patch 10.

Wipe yer drool, professions work like this:

IF

you have unlocked before pub 10

THEN

your HOLOCRON (NOT total, TH just used number like 30 as an example, saying that 30 would probably be in group one - technically, you could be in group 1 with 7 professions mastered as long as all of them were your holos/silents, or you could be in group 4 with 25 professions if none of yours are holos/silents - but thats unlikely, so TH just gave you the way to guesstimate which group you in)

ELSE IF

you have completed all the prerequisites before pub 10 that go into new system (but have NOT unlocked)

THEN

your holo/silent professions will count toward Jedi XP

ELSE

You have neither unlocked nor have completed the prerequisites. In which case, go get the badges and you will be in the next available group according to the number of the holocron/silent prof, which will also count towards xp

NOTE: The total amount of professions does not matter, only how many were holo/silent. TH just made a guess on how many professions you would probably have to have a certain number of holo/silent ones, but it is NOT a rule - again, someone mastering 7 prof could happen to get all but 1 of his silents/holos, and he would be in a group with someone who has mastered 31 professions but has not unlocked before pub 10 - and those who have unlocked, too, since its all a single group.

3. What are the badges?

you need to have2 "hard" - dath sarlacc, krayt graveyard, sceleton.5 easy - anyPOI. Also Exae Kun,Jedi Temple and Ben Kenobi POI. And 5 "content" badges - them parks. I did Warren (counts as 2), Imperial, Jabba,Nym. Corvette also counts,as does any other theme park that gives a badge I believe.

4. but but but...why do the grinders get the credit?

There is no way for devs to know whether you wanted jedi before patch 10. The only thing they can come up with is give people that grinded some credit. Yes, they messed up on the system - but its not the players fault. Lets sayif you were a WS and were um... collecting tapes and resources for a year, and right when you are about to get 12 point DEVs give EVERYONE the tapes and resources of the same kind...whatwould you feel like? Of course they deserve credit.

5. Is it 5 or 8 professions? What if it was 5 when i started playing then i stopped on my silent etc...

Devs have again explicitly stated that it is 8 - the number you have unlocked.Does not matter what it was when you started, it is 8 now.

6. I am not going to wait 2 weeks. I quit!

7. Why is the wait implemented?

2 weeks is a short period of time, and with all the people wanting to be jedi think of how manyplayers would be in the village? Wouldnt be too fun, getting a ping of 6000 and moving at 1 fps?Think before you make dumb posts.

Don't play it. I complain as much as other people, but well its inour nature. In fact, I think that most whiners have not played too many games. By far, this is the best MMORPG I have played. Name something better. Everquest? Shadowbane? Please.
