Nah, you didn't read the archived version of this thread, TH told the CSRs not to delete or edit the thread. That is why it's not deleted yet, though I am sure they wish they had.

Don't read anything into TH not commenting on this thread since Friday ... he rarely posts on the weekends and frequently doesn't post on Mondays, especially when it's a big controversial issue like this, when he's more likely to be buried in meetings all day discussing what we discussed over the weekend.
You might see something late in the west coast workday, or you might not ... a complete no-show on Monday, no matter how vital the topic, is not unprecedented at all.

In TH's own words almost 40% of all complaints and issues in the game are combat related and yet they give us race tracks. What kind ofdeveloper ignores 40% of the community? If they cant fix the core game after a year what makes you people think JTL is gonna be different? I promise after you buy JTL and start playing it you will be sorely disappointed with the bugs in it after release.
For 8 months we have been told over and over that the combat revamp was coming. There is always another excuse. Once JTL comes out and new people come to play the space game what makes you think that SOE wont be spending another year fixing that to keep the new people happy? We have been abandoned by SOE. The ground game will never get the amount of attention and developer time it has in the past once JTL comes out and if they could not fix it with the full dev team, what makes you think we can get it fixed with only half of them?
We are destined to run around with swords, how star wars like is that?

Consumer complaints received by the Bureau allege difficulty in using this company's online gaming service and being over billed or billed after they cancel the trial offer. In response to these consumer complaints, Sony indicates that some of their games may come with a limited number of days of game-play with purchase of the game software, but the consumer may still be required to register and remit a method of payment (for example, credit card number) before receiving access to the game. In addition, Sony Online's subscription games have recurring fees in addition to the purchase price of the game software. Once a consumer remits a method of payment, the consumer will be automatically billed for the subscription period they choose, on a recurring basis (for example, monthly, quarterly or yearly), unless and until the consumer affirmatively cancels their account through Sony Online's prescribed methods of termination which can be found on their web site at www.everquest.com, '>www.everquestlive.com or '>www.station.com. A consumer's account is not terminated simply because the consumer stops playing the game. Been checking out Final Fantasy Online all morning and truthfully, it looks like a pretty cool game.
I'll wait until I see Dev response to this to make my decision to cancel my account. Sucks that I have seen almost 10 of my friends leave game already, two of them guildmates. Thanks SOE.

I been thinking about the last few patches and how they have really added nothing to the game, well, other than an increase in the hate posts. Let's review:
Good Patches:
- Geonosian Cave
- Original Corvette patch before it was "beefed up"
- Chef revamp
- Wookie Armor
Patches that did not bring value to the game:
- Jedi Revamp - they're eveywhere
- Upcoming Jedi Patch - lookie, a Jedi
- Death Watch Bunker -people aren't even camping this because it's too hard
- Droid Invasion - droids still aren't useful or required, except by doctors
- Droids Rebuilt - for the second time droids aren't useful except to doctors
- Swoop Track - whoopie, a badge
- ID Revamp -super nerf
I am sure I have missed something, but anyway, the point is that since the geonosian cave patch, I have felt like all the patches have been a waste of time. Players have been asking for key issues to be corrected and each time the devs go with the bait and switch routine. In the first quarter, players wanted the combat balance, we got droids. In the second quarter, we wanted combat balance, we got Jedi. Now the third and forth quarter are coming up. The players have asked for the combat balance, what are we getting, jump to lightspeed if we're lucky.
I am tired of the bait and switch and honestly believe that none of the combat or GCW issues will be resolved until the rumored GCW expansion comes out in 2005.
- The bait, yeah we'll fix the combat system after JTL.
- The switch, oops, you're going to have to pay $30 for the GCW expansion to get the combat balance.
Once again SOE, 2 accounts will not be renewed.

Are you kidding i've had 4 of my posts deleted tho they were in large red letters hehe and i'm sure the forum nazi has been very active hehe.
Funny this is i have a picture of DEV's run around like the little red hen " The sky is falling" what will they do, i know they offer a new vet reward or a new dungeon rofl i've been having more fun reading these boards over the weekend then i have had playing the game hehe

after reactivating my account 2 or 3 days ago, i recanceled today after reading this thread. the first time i canceled was around last december and apparently the game has not gotten any better at all. i was wondering why the hell i hadnt seen a CH anywhere i went, apparently there's no longer a reason to play them... no need anyway with 80% composite, +2000 buffs, 40% reduced damage steaks, etc. the economy has greatly degraded on the scylla server... guns are outrageously priced (i was a master weaponsmith before first cancellation) and pistols blow compared to rifles.
it has been nearly a year since i last played and this game is at the same level it was when i quit, besides a few changes such as new content, anchorhead being dead, player cities, and vehicles. the economy blows, the loot is still non existant unless you are an uber farmer, updates are meaningless (they aren't fixing the real issues), GCW is still non existant, and the list goes on. this game has been broken since beta and the devs are not working hard to fix the issues the community is complaining about.
god, i feel like i'm still playing the beta edition, but then i check my wallet and realise i'm paying. screw jump to light speed, fix SWG! who the hell wants to pay extra for an expansion when over a year has gone by and the base game is still in shambles? we need hotfixes coming out every two days and we need the combat rebalance NOW, not 1 full year after the game came out.
so much content has been added and so little has been fixed, this is why people are mad. the solution is to fix the issues, not add more content and crap which brings about tons more bugs.
