Thread: The Path of the Jedi: Reckoning of Effort

Oh this will go on for sure. I'm curious though, what was the longest thread or is this it?
Not even close. The factory thread (getting XP for factory runs) approached 1000 pages.

Oh, and this post might break every record for number of posts on this board...
Hmm...finally, one of my predictions might come true...but there is an 8,800-reply post on the Non-SWG board, so we have a ways to go before we get the record. Looks like we at least did break the record for the Development boards...
My take on this whole thing is that it really has put the game into a total state of disrepair. And there really isn't any way to fix it. Well, there is, actually, but we're well beyond removing Jedi from the game. The devs have devoted two whole publishes to Jedi, a profession that is supposed to be difficult to achieve. Now you're going to have probably 50-75% of the player base at least force sensitive, maybe some won't make it all the way to Padawan, but still...think if the real Star Wars universe had over half its population with some Force powers.....seems a bit silly....
Yeah, I know, there is no continuity, it's just a game based on Star Wars, etc etc. I've accepted that. But the Devs really have no clear vision of where they want this game to go. They even had the utter audacity to raise the number of required professions to unlock your FSCS. That is really a lousy thing to do. You created the system, you added an uber profession that most people want to achieve, your experience with other MMO's should have told you that alot of people would devote themselves to achieving that profession. Yet they were surprised that too many people were unlocking, and changed the requirements. I hope they learn from their mistakes.
I really think that if (and I stress "if") I buy JTL, I'll never set foot on a planet again...there's just no need to deal with all this Jedi/combat crap. Space is so much more simple....no jedi, no combat skills, just your reflexes/acuity to determine the winner (well, besides the mods/powerups on your ship).
And no, I won't be trying to be a Jedi, and yes, I've been playing since launch. I'm very thankful right now that I started playing City of Heroes...sure, it's pretty one-dimensional, but it's very good at what it does. And in the end, that's what any game should be...
LET'S FOCUS ON THE OLD MAN (AND THE SITHS NOW TOO) THAT DO NOT VISIT PEOPLE MY FELLOW PLAYERS ! ONLY THIS WAY CAN WE GET THINGS FIXED AND SORTED ASAP (and maybe we'll get an official "Longest Thread On These Boards Ever" record too) !

I just have one simple question, that I can't seem to get a response too. I submited a ticket in-game, got an auto response, the ticket was closed and I was unable to respond to it.
I did the holo grind, (5 holos, 6th silent), so going by the, 3 prof remaining = group 4, I should be in group 4 at the least, so shouldnt I be glowing automatically?
I also have all POI badges, 2 Warren badges, Rebel Themepark, Jabba Themepark, Librarian, Chapter 1+2 of "The Cries of Alderran".
But all I have is a "faint sense of the force".
And if I have to be glowing to get a visit, will I still qualify in group 4 if I start glowing within the next day or 2?

Still nothing for me
103 badges, unlocked post 9
this sucks.
Same for me, but guess what, didn't just sit around and wait. I went and did my normal thing....2 misisons, went out to check some factories on Naboo, and guess who showed up. Talked to him and I am moving on, gonna keep playing instead of just standing or camping and waiting. Go play...
He will come....he will come....
So there is hope you will get your visit. Just be patient and you will be at one with the force.

I'd by quite happy if all you people who are complaining about this leave the game. They made it veyr clear from the development, way before beta, that they were going to restrict the number of Jedi in the game and stay at least close to the story line.
But now everybody and their dog thinks they have the right to be a jedi because they wrote some AFK macro and finished a bunch of professions just for the sake of finishing them? What ever happened to playing the game? First thing I do when I enter a cantina is look for somebody at the keyboard. They are the people I listen to and they are the people I tip. If you're AFK, you're a last resort only.
Maybe if all the people who are just 'grinding professions' leave the game, we'll be left with people who actually consider the game to be playing, not working.
Please do not judge the players who decided they wanted to become a Jedi, SOE made it so their was only one way to become a Jedi. It is not possible to complete all the professions AFK the only 3 that are totaly possible AFK are merchant, dancer and musician. I can say I was AFK 50% of the time during Musician and Dancer yet the other 28 proffesionsI mastered I did properly. SOE put that system in place not us some players wanted their jedi more then others I was one of them playersI went through the bugged BH system and felt their pain.
The comment you have made is what is to be expected of a player who does not bother using the forum and only registered today.
I am not everyone butI feel strongly that like me people who have unlocked and received the message on screen saying they have unlocked deserve their Jedi first, when we unlocked the old system was still in place. I would compare this to JTL being released and you could only use your ship to travel to another planet and not fight etc.
