I never thought I would quit this game, but it is so absolutely unbalanced I cannot continue to pay SOE money with a clear concience.

I don't care how new LucasArts is to the mmorpg market, SOE is a very well known veteran to online gaming, and there is simply no excuse for the delays and misleading statements. I don't do business with people who consistantly lead me on with broken promise after broken promise, and I can't imagine any business that practices this kind of customer service would last for any amount of time. 4 Subscriptions Cancelled.

Way to go DEV's... I think the thing you have succeeded the most in is letting down the paying player community and creating more delays. Cant the dev's and SOE see the endless cycle were in. There are core components of this game that are broken and are being ignored. Yes ignored. All we get is TH or who ever posting in forums that such and such has been delayed. OH!!! but wait! we have the kreetles revamp comming up and the much needed Taylors rebuilt patch. I mean come on man... This is rediculious. Each move yall have made is killing this game. Yall must think this is funny of something. And were the stupid ones for being sucked into your lies and continuing to pay for this crap. That exactly what this game is... crap. I will be canceling my subscription. And no you cant have my stuff....

TH - Here's an article from the Everquest boards that I think is very important to recent events here in the SWG community. I found it in another thread. I hope I'm not reposting something that has been posted before, but I firmly believe this is what is needed to help make SWG the finest MMORPG ever, but it will also go along way to help alot of us players who are upset and angry over the recent decisions.

Hello Norrath!

I wanted to announce that we've decided to push Omens of War back to Late August in order to give the EQ team time to respond to important issues that the EverQuest community is raising (specifically including the issues with Gates of Discord). We've heard some concerns from within the community that we feel are important enough to push back our next expansion and spend time fixing the problems you have brought to our attention. At the end of the day, we work for you and it's important for us to demonstrate that we both understand and appreciate that. We're also inviting many members of the community to join us here at SOE for a day to have a direct dialog with the development team about issues that are important to the EverQuest community as a whole. We've already sent out the invitations and are making all the arrangements. In addition, our EQ community managers will be coming up with a list of issues raised on the message boards so that we can come back to you with a specific list of things we're going to address.

I'm sorry if you feel we haven't been listening and reacting appropriately. We do our best to balance all of the needs and concerns you raise along with expanding Norrath and giving you new and wonderful things to do in EverQuest, but we do make mistakes. We've heard you loud and clear.

We have many things planned for EverQuest over the upcoming years, and our goal is to keep you happily playing EverQuest for a long time to come. The best way for us to do that is by first and foremost listening to you.

I think this speaks for itself.

Funny how the posts with the worst critisisms keep dissapearing on this thread. Heavy handed censorship is not the way to handle this, SOE. People will only get *more* upset that way.

The customer is always right is clearly not the mantra at SOE, otherwise they would take the massive feedback into consideration and fix the main game before adding an expansion. This is clearly what the vast majority wants. And keep in mind that you're not only loosing our accounts, but you are also loosing alot of good will and reputation. We do talk with our friends about the games we play and clearly we cannot recommend SWG in its current state. This decision of yours will cost you dearly if you do not reverse it, and it might even then it might be too late to recoup what you have lost. Goodwill and reputation is alot harder to regain than mere accounts.

*edited with some simple proposals*

To make things right, you need to delay the space expansion while you fix a few monumental problems with SWG.

Combat:
- Make ALL combat professions viable. The Rock/Scissor principle is good, all professions should be able to beat a few other combat professions, just as they should always struggle versus a few.
- Make all weapons equally viable. In other words, lets see some variation in the weaponry people bring to the battles. Variation = more immersive = more fun (imho).
- Nerf us *heavily* against npc's and creatures to bring back the group mentality. Now you can take out anything solo, if you got the right template & buffs.
- This is a common complaint, but bring in good loot. Schematics and crafting components are both good, and using these looted items should significantly boost the quality of whatever is crafted. Many looted items is pointless atm, they don't enhance enough.

GCW:
- Lower the cost of all faction equipment to make it easier to use, and also bring back the ability to use multiple faciton pets (with the exception of the AT-ST).
- Give us a tangible goal to fight over. ZOC's were a cool idea, but even something as simple as a percentage number for each faction on each planet would be welcome.
- Make the AT-ST powerful again, while at the same time giving the rebels some easly placable turrets capable of turning the walkers into scrapmetal much faster than any player.

There's more, but I gotta do some work...

The dev's were able to implement a fix to the CM profession in a matter of weeks which the community has been complaining about for months. Why is it so hard to get core componets of this game corrected. With each publish/mini publish more and more bugs are brought into the game but all SOE and the dev's seem to care about is lieing to us and pushing out crap that does'nt concern 90% of its player base. This game is so pathectic right now. Log on now and all you see are overt Jedi running around killing other non-jedi overts. Do any of the dev's actually play this game? Prolly not cause they or whoever is to busy deleteing posts.

Ill end my rant by asking this....

How can you expect to integrate JTL and the ground game when the ground game is broken?

I don't know who to even blame for this fiasco. The dev team for writing a program that needs more bandaids per minute than Windows 1.0, the management team that can't develop a concept that can be realistically implimented, the poor fool who has to always deliver the bad news, or me for being stupid enough to believe in you folks just because the title of the game has "Star Wars" in it.

You all disgust me. You know as well as I that this game has NEVER been fun even in the weakest sense. I believe the only reason the majority of your suscribers haven't left (including myself) was in the hopes that you could live up to all your community letter pillow talk. This game wasn't released too early, it should have never been released! Now, instead of patching and tweaking the game like other MMOs, you have to REWRITE CORE CHUNKS OF THE GAME.

On the subject of JTL, too little too late. There are too many new games coming out from companies with much better track records for producing solid products. JTL has no hope for succeeding. It's all over.

Now that this thread is unlocked anyone takeing bets on when it will equal out to the original 64 page post. Right now its 26 and I will bet atleast 32 page before dinner. Come on TH you just read two thousand negative posts of I quit and I am going to wait a couple more days to hear what you say. Even if every hater on this board merely represents five people that do not post or did not waste the time to post who just hit the cancel key. That is ten thousand people leaveing the game. Over this. That demands some form of response. Not you hideing in a closet.

It's like our own personal Groundhog Day.

A thousand people wait in anticipation for the emergence of a caged animal who will determine our collective fate...

Will he see his shadow and crawl back into his hole, unwilling to stand up tall?

Or will he be bold and show us all that he is ready to face the masses with dignity and honor?

I only wish I could hang around the next few hours to see what happens..

But alas, I have RL clients I must attend to,
and unlike SOME companies, I WONT LEAVE THEM HANGING WITH FALSE PROMISES....

I sincerely hope the best for everyone involved, I will leave it at that.

Gotta wonder how many replies they have deleted...right now there is some 80+ pages of comments...how high would it have been if SOE tried to keep us from sharing all our views.

Oh well...5 months tops till we can all move on to other and hopefully working games. This post was the final nail in the coffin for me. I won't be buying JTL...Just going to wait till WoW comes out and give my money to a company more deserving.
