  • Turn weaken / choke to percentage based skills.


Force Healing



  • Allow a force healer to heal flame damage.

  • Get rid of the after heal delay for force healers but instead substitute it for the same delay that doctors have where they cant perform another heal until its over.

  • Sprinkle Heal Wounds / Speed bonus's through the whole skill tree much like doctors also sprinkle force heal efficiency mods through there also. i.e. A master force healer will pay less force than a novice per heal.

  • Here is a nice Idea, institute a heal over time skill for the Master Healer that will heal 200 or so damage per tick for 30 seconds. This could also incorporate a timed cure all states also per tick.

Here is what I feel should be done to each tree to make them more of an appealing choice. Let me know what you think.

I'm in a little late on the Jedi thing, but I've been reading the informations several times, doing it again now and a conversation I had with a friend came to mind.


Jedi as RP char


As all who read the informations know a jedi will become 24/7 overt once passed the lvl of knight.

Now I've yet to see how the whole Jedi thing will work, but I've gotten some thoughts about the RP side of Jedi once he or she passes knight.


Now if you'd make the jedi overt thing like this:


Old time was something with Jedi once lightsaber equiped he/she got a tef.


Now here:


Once passed knight, Jedi and Sith will get the 24/7 overt/tef against each other

Once a Jedi/Sith draws/equip his/her lightsaber he/she will be overt to anyone = attackable to opporsite faction.



The reason I would so far like this idea better is, that if a Jedi or Sith for that matter wants to RP the part It will be hard, from my point of view, to do that as you will always be the center of people knowing your a Jedi/Sith and overts will attack you, in a way giving the Jedi/Sith no way to relax with some RP.

Obi wan didn't get attacked by the ST's, cause he was hiding. The idea of hiding will, how I see it be ruined by ths 24/7 TEF

Like leaving the Jedi/Sith posibility for RP to powergamers who run around with buffs and other super stuff.


The Jedi hiding thing would be like "oh well", cause you wont be able to as passes knight, to sneak into for example Theed starport and board a ship, cause you'll be attacked by overt Imps as a Jedi.

I bet we will see a lot of Jedi's sitting in the enclave doing nothing, except every once in awhile going out to kill someone if they want a rank or mainten their current.


Now I didn't read this thread cause I was to lazy, so I dunno if anyone have said what I just wrote before.

But anyway I'd like some featback on this, even like if TH would read it, should this be a new thing.

I was reading about the jedi revamp, and I read about how each rank of jedi will get different robes. I was wondering what the robes would do for the jedi, and what they would look like...or if theywere similar to the cloaks. Also wondering if jedi would be able to wear a cloak with a hood that actually went on their head, because that would look bad ass! Thanks!

Robes give some defence, what kind I'm not sure of yet, but sounds like the same as armors.

Yeah, I'd love to see my bothan with a hooded robe, kinda like the picture on the Race site of bothans, partly why I went to play bothan actually.

Without taking the time to read through a billion posts on this thread (sorry) I have one main question: what will happen to holocrons? Will they become useless junk only good for collecting, or will they be integrated into the new jedi quest system in some way? If the latter, how? If the former, please reconsider the latter. I could make the following suggestions:


1: The padawan trials or some point before unlocking jedi requires one or more holocrons as part of a quest (or perhaps in order to attain those quests). Since live jedi mentors are so hard to come by, even Luke used a holocron as a teacher at times, so this makes sense.


2: In order to progress from Master Padawn to Novice Jedi or Dark Jedi, a character must obtain either a Jedi holocron or Sith Holocron, respectively. This makes a little more sense and differentiates between the two kinds of holocrons more than just graphically.


3: Both of these systems. (my favorite)

lol, all this stuff is happening. jedi are no longer rare, updates out the wazoo. And I STILL CANT SEE FEMALE MODELS EYES. im not sure if thats everyone or just my system, but you think that would have been a high priority to fix. HEHE

SOE has made a major blunder and it will be the downfall of this game.


Because you have made Jedi a BRAG type prof. Or what’s also known as a “Ima super l33t [H]ard c0r3 “ player showoff prof. Everyone is scrambling to become Jedi.


Holo grinding has made the game dull and boring because 75% of the players are not playing the game. They are just going through and grinding profs. as fast as they can to become Jedi. MMOGG or Massive Multiplayer Online GRINDING Game because there is no roll playing going on here.



Now you add Jedi TRIALS??? OMG how many Jedi do you want in the game??? In the “REAL” Star Wars what % of the people were Jedi? Well if you say 90% like its going to be in this game then you are dead wrong!!!



DEVs you have 2 choices:


1: Make Jedi a STANDARD prof. that uses all your SP and is a little stronger the BH or Commando.


2: Get rid of ALL player Jedi because “REAL” Jedi would be too powerful and would cause a total game imbalance.



THIS GAME HASE GONE OUT OF THE DEVS CONTROLL AND WILL BE HEADED FOR CERTAIN DOOM.


Wait till 90% of the players are master Jedi… Oh that will be a lot fun!

If SOE doesn't change their decision to force us to use our main slot as the jedi slot then I am not long for this gaming-world. Me and my whopping $15 a month will be gone. I already was forced to take a few months off because of frustration at the lack of enjoyment in this game. There is only one thing in this ENTIRE game that has been consistently good and that is the graphics. Big whoop. When I came back after taking those few months off, lo and behold! Almost every single one of my hunting buddies were gone. Quit the game (not that I can blame them) out of boredom and disgust just like I will almost definitely do as well.


We should be given the choice of which character slot we can use for jedi and not be forced to quest the damn thing all over again on the 2nd slot. I am fully aware that no DEV is going to read my post, as they have not left a reply to anyone on this thread for quite some time. This makes sense and would coincide perfectly with their standard method of operation whereas anytime a thread becomes overwhelmingly pissed-off at more SOE incompetence it is dutifully ignored. Which, when you think of it, is exactly what they do with the fun-killing bugs that have existed since practically day one (you know day 1? almost a year ago?).


And to anybody who thinks I am just 'lazy' for not wanting to do the quest grind AGAIN to unlock FS on the new slot, well you just need to **edit**. I am not a 14 year old kid with ALL day, EVERY day to play this damn game and as far as I am concerned if I can't have a jedi there really is no point in going on since that is hands down the coolest thing about SW. I have been willing to put up with ALOT of b*llsh*t regarding so many aspects of this game just because of the promise that some day I will get to use a lightsabre. That's all I want, if and when that happens I will be ready to shuffle off this mortal coil and die with a smile on my face. BUT I WILL NOT GIVE UP A YEAR'S



The saddest part is that I actually miss EQ1. That means EQ2 is probably worth a shot.

This might sound like ranting and raving, but I just have some questions and concerns about the matter........

(1) The way I see it is after this revamp there will only be a few professions played Jedi (which will envelop most of the server, Bounty Hunters (well maybe not since the nerf and the new Jedi Ranking system) and Crafters.

(2) Having more than 1 charecter slot where neither has to be a Jedi leads me to remember 1 thing Everquest in this I mean you will have your main (well respected liked by others and trusted) and the second a charecter you might care less about and can use to screw people over think about this I want a set of Composite armor or maybe some weapons so ok I make a charecter I dont care about pretend to be a smuggler trade for the gear and bam I drop it off at my house logout destroy the charecter and my main has it and noone knows the better Im still the same trusted respected member as I was.........

(3) If I am still able to unlock between pub 9 and 10 why wouldn't I be able to get the message what sense does that make say I unlock the day pub 9 goes live but now I dont know and grind for another month just to be sure.

(4) As for not being able to create a new charecter as a Jedi and having to actually earn it with the one your using well that makes sense to me I mean Luke didn't say hey Hon you mind going through all the training and trials then when your done let me know so I can take your place as a Jedi.

(5) If they really wanted to stay true to the RP and story line there is no way in hell that (1) a grown man or women would become Jedi due to the fact that after age 8 they where "Tainted" and if a full grown adult did chose the path of the Jedi they will fall to the darkside eventually ex. Anakin and Luke both went to the darkside after a time anyway even though they won't be making the movies 7-9 where they show Luke fall to the Darkside. (2) There wouldn't be some underground councill where Jedi meet (who even came up with that idea?!?! sounds to me like they are going to base the entire game on Jedi PVP and screw the rest of the players who could care less about being Jedi or even seeing one.

Unfortunatly Pub 9 comes in a few days and Im on my silent I have done only 10 professions total so far so thinking there is no way Ill make it but oh well I love RP anyway and won't mind doing the quests and trials I have plenty of patience I can deal with a long hall, but there is a difference between long and roungh & long and needing an uber guild to complete it. I like being able to solo class's and quests so Im hoping the quests and Trials will be soloable.


So here are my questions to TH

(1) Will the quests and Trials be able to be done solo?

(2) Is there any way to see if you unlocked after Pub 9 other than waiting for Pub 10?

(3) How much credit will be recieved for each proffesion mastered (1/2 a box, whole box??)
