why won't your parents sign? its the only workaround for it. i guess you have to wait for the NDA to be lifted.

how long do u think it will be tell the NDA is lifted?

probably before the stress test in october. oct 6 ia the projected date for that, but who knows maybe they'll lift it sooner.

If and only if you end up not being invited to beta would this be true. Again, they've said veterans will be next in line. It's not like you're not getting into beta at all. There are costs involved in holding an event like that, an event I'll point out that they in no way, shape or form *have* to host or are obligated to host. Ronda would have to chime in here to give specifics of course, but there's certainly nothing cheap about renting out space in a hotel the size/quality that the Hilton was, or feeding 1500 or so people at that huge banquet Saturday night, or arranging a significant discount for folks on hotel rooms who wanted to stay in the same hotel so they wouldn't have to worry about transportation. It's not like they took the $89 from each person and ran away with money pouring out of their pockets and threw a big partycelebrating their enterprising ingenuity.

Quick point the beta entry EBgames etc is offering is the we dont care who gets in final last hurrah stress test. there are others before then

Wow. This is great news. I am excited even if I am not chosen for beta. This is a stepping stone to thefinishing of the expansion pack. All you testers need to do a good job so I can have a great game.

Huyup. I read the title & the message, and no where does it say that the Fan Fest Folks would be the ONLY people invited in this round. Sure, 100% of them get in, but that didn't necessarily exclude the rest of us. It was only later in the thread, when Garva spoke up, that we learnedthat this round was exclusive to Fan Fest Folks.

It was an honest question and quite appropriate. I'd post it again if given the chance to do it all over.

I did not have the pleasure of attending the Fan Fest so I will not cross my fingers for an early invite.

Although I wish I could have got into the BETA testing, it will be nice to start fresh with everyone else, in the natural transition of the game's timeline, with many of the bugs already ironed out.

However, for those of us not included, it would be nice if the devs would finally give us a glimpse of what our veteran "Yachts" are going to look like, inside and out. And what I'd really like to see is the new Space Profession Tree.
