They don't.
But when the doc dies first (and in a smart PvP fight, you'll take out the CMs and the Docs as quickly as you can identify them) this kinda moots the point, does it not?
This is why I am going back and play UO and Asherons call (darktide server) this game offers horrific PvP content plus it has extreme penelties to PvP...
No more GCJ (Galactic Civil Joke) till you figure out how to make PvP like it was back in the good old days of UO and AC.........

If items were not decaying demand wouldn't go down for powerfull items. It will only raise as people will have more money (because not needing to repair or prevent decay) and will be looking for some always more powerful items.
Is this game a MMO RPG or a MMO DIABLO? It's a MMO RPG.
Well the day WOW will be out, the one that want a MMO DIABLO will free space on servers. For me it'll be like the best publish for SWG ever (and not any single line of code more needed for it). I can't wait for that day ^_^.
The problem is not the game but the players sometime.

Same with SWG, as long as played like a MMO RPG and not a MMO DIABLO, there's not much problems left.
hmmm.. might take a look WOW or dragon empires.. definatly cant Be any worse than this.. yeah this game is different from most other games out there... but it is still degrading into what most MMO games become.. the vision of some producer sitting up in his 100th floor office.. money and nothing else..
I do have to comment on your efforts to try to listen to us.. 300,000 people can be a bit tough. BUT you have a few thigs to work out.. #1 is bring backthe general discussion forum. that was the center of all the chat on what we wanted the game to be.. since thats gone. the best place to talk is galaxy forums. but I ABSOLUTLY NEVER SEE YOU POSTING ON CHILASTRA FORUMS ....ever..... I only see a mod every now and then deleting posts that have nowhere else to go..cant say for other galaxy boards but I think others will agree with me.

I try to haev fun with this game.. trying to get the fun I had the first month when everythign was new. its just not happening.

GCW includes W as 'War'. To keep it fun you cannot get up forever, a winner has to be decided. It's why all the penalities are in place. It's not to make people sad. Really, noob, keep the docs in the back?? You think? That *MAY* work if collision detection was on and a nice beefy TKA could jump in front of a doc to take that rocket or flame cone.. Or maybe the Doc could hide behind a hill or wall and not get shot through it..
Please, actually TRY to PvP before giving lame suggestions that, in a 'perfect' world would work..
Oh, btw, braniac, since doc's have no ranged healing/rezzing, **edit** could they do in the back lines? You have to be within 15 or so meters to even drag a corpse...That would be 15 or so meters from the FRONTLINE were people would be dying....
I'll add in my thoughts here in this manner:
After reading the prior statements that indicated that the decay was going away for PvP, I continued my subscription for 3 more months.
I'm now part of the way through the first month of those three.
There will be no further extensions of my subscriptions.
The developers are obviously ignorant of what their customers want, and have openly decieved their customers or let mis-statements stand for so long that customers made decisions like I have and spent their money based on these deceptive practices.
SOE and it's developers are not capable of delivering to their customers in a manner consistent with those that they contractually obligate themselves to as part of the Terms of Service.
SOE should find itself sued into oblivion for taking customers money for a game that is so far from the original game that people signed up for (and I don't mean that to say that there have been improvements and additions to the game, I know that things have been added and minor improvements have been made, but it ignores the total failings of other changes that have ruined the balance of the game and left things so broken as to leave the game barely playable), that SOE should be giving *all* customers at least 3 months of free subscription time, and even then it wouldn't be enough.
JustG - you and all of the developers at SOE can take my subscription and put it on the scrap heap along with hundreds and thousands of others. When my 3 months are gone, I'll be gone and I won't be looking back. I've had all of the abuse I can stand at the hands of people like you, and I'll not continue to reward your incompetence with my subscriber dollars.

I was in the market for my first set of armor since I ditched my Bone Armor in the first week of live.
I was looking forward to getting heavily involved in PVP for the first time.
I'm having some second thoughts about doing so now, with pvp 1% insured death decay notbeing removed.

I'm not trash so address your words to me in a nicer way. If you can't do that I'll simply stop talking with you.
Now I'll answer:
- backup docs with a support team can be used to rez while some of your backup team drag opposing faction far from corpses
- or they can simply come into battle as a separate group and after giving a rez run away (because of the TEF) then come back when covert, ... (loop)
A lot of strategies are possible and open to anybody taking a little time to think about it.
About collision: Dev already said it will be on with the new combat system in another thread.
About ranged heal: combat medic do that very well.
