LISTEN TO THIS CHICK!
She Knows whats she's talking about!! If you have glowie and didnt do any holo's, stop freaking out!!! Youllget the visit. The group 1, 2, 3 ECT is for people that DONT have glowie BUT did holo's. So please...people..i want to say this nice....GET A GRIP! In my 10 months of playing i have never seen so much freaking out and griping, its really sad. But if your like me and have been waiting for Publish 10 for about 6 months it would be easy to freak and get excited. But now that we have made this clear..please..control yourselfs.
Hope this helps.

Chill people chill - read this closely - if you are glowy now you DO NOT have to wait for any phase.....
How and when does this visit happen? The old man will visit you when you have completed the requirements of the new path to becoming a Jedi. While this new path is still a secret, it is no where near as daunting as the holo-professions method. We have made additional provisions for those that worked partially through the old system. Here is how you will be allocated a visit based on the old system:
If you have… You will be granted access to the village…
No professions remaining: Automatically qualify
1 profession remaining: Automatically qualify
2 professions remaining: Group 1
3 professions remaining: Group 2
4 professions remaining: Group 3
5 professions remaining: Group 4
Since there is a large wave of players that will be going through the system, we are going to be monitoring traffic daily as players start and finish the Force Sensitive quests. When enough people have completed their path, we will open it up the village to the next group. Groups 1 – 4 will qualify for a visit when the village traffic has died down. .Of course, if you qualify for the visit under the new system, you will automatically be granted a visit from the old man
This is the chick..some HTML error and all it posted was what i said.

ok explain this to me a guild firend got his old man about 4 hrs ago now he has done about 20 POI's and only 4 professions i on the other hand have done 28 proffession all POI's 4 theme parks 2 corvette missions and 1 race track i also unlocked my jedi before pub 10 so how come a person with glowy is getting the old man before someone who is at one with the force i have been on hold for over 2 weeks now with the pub 10 being delayed for 1 week and now 2 more days i thought that all those that had unlocked between pub 9 and pub 10 would be the first to see the old man because we had worked the hardest to make jedi before pub 10 i feel that we are being treated like a bunch of mug sitting here with our balls in our hands wait for you to finally pull your fingers out for your ass to get something right and i have not seen the OLD **edit**EN GIT tomorrow then you can shove this account and my other account up your BEEP as you can tell i am total unhappy with the way i have been treated and i am sure i am not the only person to feel just like this i am sorry if you think this reply is abit forward but i have had enough of being pushed around by miss information

I'm a casual player, didn't get caught up in the holo craze, and when i logged on i wasn't glowing, but after i did nym's i was glowing. Why should someone who grinded away half his life on professions he didn't even care for get any more rights to enter the villiage than someone who's been playing the game for the last year. Doesn't seem right to me
Huh! so you basically you did nothin and are as far along as a person who dedicated thier life to this game to get a Jedi. Gee, I really dont see why they are pissed--->/knocks you on the head. Are you stupid or something?

TH, et al, there remains many unanswered questions regarding publish 10 and “The path of the Jedi: Reckoning of effort”. Please explain, as best you can the answers to questions I seek below.
TH: The old path to Jedi was a very long and arduous journey which involved becoming master in numerous predetermined professions that were specific to each player.
The question: One had to master predetermined professions specific to their character, but if one did not utilize an in-game device to specifically know what profession to work on toward the path to Jedi before publish 10 was released, does that character still receive credit? Theoretically, if one happened to master the required professions specific to their character necessary to align with the predetermined old path, will they receive credit though they technically did not use an in-game device known as a holo?
TH: Although we will not be giving specific credit for the total number of professions ground, we will be giving credit for how many of the required hidden master boxes you completed.
TH: Players who were unable to open up a force sensitive slot in the old system will be eligible for credit under the new system based on how many required professions they completed.”
TH: Players who have completed required professions will have these quests automatically unlocked for them based on how many “holo-professions” they completed.
The question: Can you explain this further? Within this paragraph it appears you are stating that though specific credit is not given toward raw numbers of professions mastered, if a user happened to master a predetermined profession, then credit will be given. This statement appears not to imply a holocron had to be utilized. TH, you stated there is a one to one correlation to the number of professions completed and, in essence, the inevitable logical conclusion that the more professions mastered, the higher the probability the predetermined profession specific to that character was completed. There exists doubt as to whether or not this statement is well understood.
The main question is if a character did not use holocrons but still mastered the predetermined or every profession there is, will credit be given since that character has fulfilled the required number of predetermined professions? The credit seems most appropriate depending upon how many predetermined professions one has unlocked.
TH: Everyone will still have to be visited by the Old Man and do the intro quests in order to gain access to the village. After access to the village has been granted, you must go to the village skill trainer. The skill trainer detects if you qualify for free branches and will train you in those branches based on your choices in the conversation menu. Note that this merely grants the skill branch. You may still do the quest if you choose. Doing so will gain you the quest reward.
The question: On Test Center, the intro quests consisted of obtaining a series of data discs off the corpses of Sith Pirates. The Sith, although not that difficult for Elite combat professions, would pose a challenge to non-combat oriented characters. What has been done, now that publish 10 is live, to incorporate those characters into the intro quest?
TH: The other side of the equation is when do people get a visit from the Old Man? In the new system, when a player is ready to travel down the path of becoming a Jedi, they will be visited by a wise old man who knows the secrets of the village of the laceType>VillagelaceType> of laceName>AurilialaceName>.
I participated in the Test Center Force Sensitive Quests. Has there been a preservation of the visitation and proceeding character introductions from the Elder, to experience conversion, to training with the skill trainer? Publish 10 requirements that have to be met before receiving a visitation from the “old man” were not a part of the Test Center. The reasoning is obvious and I can appreciate the mystery surrounding that portion. The question I have is besides being able to determine a character’s sensitivity to the Force and subsequently achieving “Inner Glow”, are the additional requirements outlined already and the group classification the only limitations for the “old man” visitation? If “Inner Glow” is a core requirement for the appearance of the “old man”, then what are those who do not meet the other prerequisites supposed to do in the interim? Mannee
I am glad to read that SOE will be allowing multiple groups to participate in the quest and I am hearing in voice chat a lack of understanding just how long it will take if, for instance, a character qualifies in Group 23. I had hoped the quest would be instanced to the character and although there will remain limited access to the village, the potential for interference in mission requirements and collusion seems apparent as it was when the quests were on TC. Can you further explain this in detail and possibly seek recommendations if there truly exists problems?
I am very much so looking forward to the quests now that they are live and how they compared on Test Center. The only other concern I have is for non-combatants that presently qualify. Can you explain how a Doctor or Combat Medic having medicine experience, even on a smaller conversion rate, would be able to complete the quests?

ThunderHeart - could possibly give us periodic updates on which groups are being opened to visit the village?
It would greatly reduce the stress levels we have whilewaiting for gramps to show up!
