was just surging after patch 10 did 2 themeparks got glowy got visit mastered 24 professions, hope that gives hope to others

Just saw the old man in a player city. He ran up to a player that had not unlocked post 9.
For what it's worth to those waiting, he had just shuttled into the player city, and was standing at the shuttleport. Said he wasn't even expecting to see the old man anytime soon.
So apparently TH doesn't even know what he's talking about, since you don't need to be in the wilderness. Makes you wonder what else they don't know...

People with a handful professions mastered get their visit from the old man left and right and those with 30+ professions are still waiting. There is obiviously something wrong with this patch and all the devs do is answer to a bragging post where every second word is a profanity and stay silent on this issue.

TH while I'm very glad you finally revamped the jedi quest as it should have been am I to think that because I "choose" NOT to hologrind like many and actually ROLEPLAY my game I'm to be punished by waiting weeks after wekks?
I know this must have been brought up already I do really feel I should express myself ... i've been a loyal customer and a roleplayer at than in a MORPG that lacks roleplayers ... I don't belive we should all wait weeks afater weeks while holo grinders who are already largely rewarded get also a "special" foot in the door. Please clarify my questions on when are we suppose to get visit I know you mentioned that it would be according to "Group" classification but still don't get it how long am i suppose to wait.

Actually, what you can see that they are doing is creating a even dispersal mechanism, throughout the Quest. However, it also serves pretty well for the whole quest CONTENT(amazing).
First, you get the crystal this can take from 1-3 days, second you then have to KEEP IT SAFE, after about 1-3 days I am sure you are visted by the Sith. As part of the quest iteself for becoming fs and/or jedi this is pretty cool. These spawns are not like the Hero of tant quest spawns they are set on a timer and are user specific.
The problem most people I think are post 9 unlockers(like myself) who have waited for quiet a while and are having problems waiting even more. As long as I get my visit tomma, and I get through to the sith within the same amount of time then into the village I will be happy. It means we can just play as per usual, once again for either holo grinders and/or post 9 unlockers...our normal play is grinding, so we can't do that obviously so we have to wait and wait
The other problem is from the rest of the veterans who just want Content and are as sick as the Post 9 unlockers, or even sicker, of waiting and they will have a much longer wait.

I think the whole concept as part of the quest is pretty good, glad they did it this way.Its really just more suited to the new players who do not have as much experience with the game as we do. Also, I have learned that you do not have to wait in the backwoods of the wilderness he does, it seem spawn in player cities. I have seen him there, but he was someone's old man that got missed then got claimed later.
So do as TH suggested go about your normal buisness enjoy the game and he will turn up eventually...

i just wanted to add a few things, i don't like the fact i have to wait anywhere from 1 day to 1 year to see an old man but i'm not going to sit here and *EDIT* about it.
and to all you people saying that your going to quit the game, HURRY up and quit already so the rest of us can get our jedi

What about the fact they said once you get force sensitive you would open the extra slot... Now they say you have to get padawan to open it dang that make you screw up the character you have now if you don't wanna play a jedi but just unlock the extra slot.. I am just about ready to quit while the time is right..... All these promisses they give then turn around and say something totally different... I am kinda thinking of going back to Ultima Online lol... Not only is it cheaper per a month, but look at the new content coming into the game in November.... i ordered 2 copies of JTL, But i think i will cancel them... The way this jedi thing is working out you wont get to padawan till sometime next year lol... Atleast in Ultima Online they give you 5 slots and if you got the 7th Edition you got a 6th slot, Cross your fingers for more CRAP from the Dev's lol... This Includes you Thunderheart......

Sigh.....where do i begin? so far I would have to say that SOE has taken the cake on screwing up the path to get jedi. Not only is it hard to become jedi now...Its going to be another grind to grind jedi from initiate. Now here is an idea why don't u just spend 2 days max grinding up a stacking defense proffesion and go kill jedi. There u go ppls i just saved u months of energy,time,stress,and of course thought of making ur jedi template. You know what...lets give SOE a pat on the back for screwing us YET AGAIN! In fact this is my resignation from SOE good day DEV's hope ur lives go down the S-er like u threw this game down the S-er your's truly Nuggz

The only problem I see is that there will be too many jedi - It seems way too easy now - just a waiting game - I'm keepin my options open since i'm glowy - what ever that means - guess I'll have to read up on that

When the patch went live, my character was surging, and I got 1 more badge, and then I started to glow. Am I going to be visited by the Old Man soon, or am I gonna have to wait months for him to show up ?
