First, yes i know what *edit* im talking about ... im talking about a fun game ... RPG / FPS watever ...
Try before u buy .... there isa planetside trial, go try it, and if ur the kind that is contended by other people's opinion on somehting instead of u trying it urself, then ur immature ... sorry ...
And bout that guy who used to lagout or watever, well theres this occasional idiot in every game, but they're few, and some extreme measures are taken against these things ... i played planetside for 1 year and never encountered someone like that ...
as i said, go try it ...
As for WOW, i hope they release a trial versionon release date, coz "then" ill trust them and buy it ... i will not do the same mistake i did with other games anymore ... not releasing a trial means not allowing people to c wat the game is truly about which means they are hiding something ...
thats the beauty of offline games, almost every game has a trial just before the maingame release, why should MMORPGs be different ?
Your an idiot, Do you actually know your jedi will be blocked from advancement if you unlock between pulish 9 and 10? OR the Combat balance is out of wack in 14 day trials? I highely doubt it beause you area newb out of the grand scale of things....

I played the game for 4 months, quit in February, came back in June so I could be prepared for the combat rebalance. I'll be quitting again. Next time I won't trust you and sign up before the "new" rebalance. I'll wait until after the update this time. c ya in early 2005!

This is my last post in this thread, I think I've said what I wanted to say for the most part. Last thing though. I really feel like this decision has devastated the veteran and power gamer base more than anyone. This isn't to say that casual gamers and newer players aren't affected. My brother plays this game about 1 or 2 times a week due to a very busy RL schedule. He doesn't seem to mind the delay at all because he's not going to be on enough to notice the difference. I on the other hand have more free time and play 4 or 5 times a week for a few hours at a time. I've played for a long time, and experienced everything the game has to offer. Just seems that the ones who are really upset are veterans and power gamers. (me included)
Lastly, this news is spreading beyond these forums to other gaming sites. It's bigger than I think any of us expected. TH, I don't think you really knew the effect this info was going to have, and for that I feel sorry for you.
Having said that, this is what I'd like to see. I'd like to see TH, and the other Dev's stand up and be men. I'd like them to say, we made a mistake but here's why we have to do it this way. We all know that you guys have been pushed by upper mgmt to get the JTL out, and you also have contributed to the problems. Stand up, show some integrity, and communicate what's really going on. You're hemorraging accounts left and right, you have nothing to lose at this point. I've had 2 accounts go bye bye and the other ends Aug 8th. I'm waiting, if you guys do the right thing by the MAJORITY of the community I may reactivate them. That means, stand up and say we screwed up, we are doing it the right way now. We are all waiting......................

One thread 2100 replys all negative. The fact that the devs do not respond to it. Tragic this is dwarfing the posting levels on the galaxy servers. This is outposting the profession servers. By god devs you do not get the option to get this stuff up six months from now. Save the damn game start dropping the combat balance out ready or not. The game is in the toilet now. That toilet has caped the lid, and turds and toilet paper are washing out onto the floor. You cannot make the system any worse by doing radical combat alterations now.
It is not like even if you have not worked on the combat balance at all. Like you cannot start spraying out obvious dang patches. You can cut the speed mods in the game. You can remove the buffs till you figure out what a good level would be. You could decrease all the mitigations, and apply an armor cap. That makes people consider the other armors for ham reasons. That alone would make high end content high end again.

I don't buy the arguement that the "Core game" chould be fixed before JTL comes out. JTL was supposed to be in the core game. so were Player cities, mounts and vehicles. Not only have we been paying for a buggy game, but we have been paying for a buggy game that is only half complete!

No one really cares if you buy the arguement or not you blew all credibility when you opened your mouth and stated that JTL was to be originally part of the core game, next time do a little research and you wont come off looking like a noob.
Sorry but thems the facts ![]()

Account cancelled 07/16/2004... Player of the release. (don't trust my inscription date on this forum... an another nice bug :confused
Not anymore goal for me in this game. I was waiting for a CB and GCW revamp.... no revamp anymore so no more objectives to reach for me.
Hard to say that to my guildmates and friends... but i did.
Some players could wait a while for revamp... they are really lucky but i warn them: End of CB revamp and GCW revamp will not occure before january 2005... trust any other planning is a mistake.
Think JtLwill be a free bug release game is a mistake. A solo game is never bug freeat release... so a complex MMORPG... lol
After this release, the Devs will start the CB revamp... Jedi skilled revamp need one months (and more with delay...)... so trust me: combat revamp for many profession will take much more time.... and after this revamp, they have to do the GCW war revamp lol... not before January 2005.
Good luck for everyone and excuse me for my poor English... i am a damn french frog

I would like to know where the devs are this week-end. A few weeks ago i saw the devs working and posting on week-ends to please the almighty jedi minority....sorry throng to get their revamp done and done right. Then they drop a bombshell like this and where are the devs....i am pretty sure the 1st incarnation of this thread was the fastest in the games history and the most negative with subscriptions cancelled left right and center.
So I ask again....where are the devs are they more concerned about a minority faction in the game than they are about the ENTIRE player base as the promised combat and GCW revamp WOULD affect all players in game unlike the devs response that the jedi revamp needed to be done as it affected all players....and i dont see how jedi affect me...and i DO play this game.

I COULD CARE LESS ABOUT ABOUT JTL.... DEVS FIX THE GAME! YOU ARE ONLY MAKING THINGS WORSE.... AND ONCE JTL COMES OUT IT WILL BE SO BUGGY YOU'LL PUSH COMBAT BALANCE BACK ANOTHER YEAR.... I'VE PLAYING SWG FOR ALMOST A YEAR NOW... AND I'M STARTING TO THINK IT IS A LOST CAUSE..... PROMISES PROMISES AND NEVER FIXES.... YOU'VE DON'T NOTHING BUT RUIN THE THE PLAYER IMMERSION EXPERIENCE WITH YOUR "JEDI" FIX.... COMBAT IS STILL WAY UNBALANCED.. AND THE GCW WELL BASICALLY IT DOESN'T EXSIST... IF YOU DON'T DO SOMETHING AND DO IT QUICK YOU ARE GOING TO LOSE A WHOLE LOT MORE OF THE CUSTOMERS... I'VE JUST ABOUT HAD ENOUGH..

What's your response/excuse now? The same one you all had 7 months ago..."we need further input from the community"...nice
I would think that, over the past 6-7 months, they've gathered enough valid and insightful feedback from the community to fill the entire Library of Congress.
Twice.

Good Idea SOE!!
Lets merge the development teams into one so we can push out a buggy JtL by October and not have to fix the real bugs til Christmas, or New years...St Patricks Day...............................
