Thread: Publish 10 Feedback: Jedi Revamp Part 2, The Jedi Trials

Apparent progress granted: Group 1 (at least 2 professions left to do), from 'strong sense of force'.
I find the odds against this kinda staggering, though I knew I had at least one left. Is there any other way to check and make sure I'm getting FULL credit and my full list of 'required' professions be provided now that it no longer matters?
Edited to include progress from today.

Well ladies and gentlemen, I guess the 3 of us who know the truth of what will happen when it will happen... will be sitting back with much patience sipping on margaritas while day 3 has ended and these propagandist experts are fretting because they haven't seen the geezer... LOL

This is the darn problem. Nobody reads the original post. Its seems they all jump to page 9 million and try to "figure it out" from the ensuing temper tantrums of various people. Dont try to explain. All that will happen is you will give them more words to confuse them because they cant read.
Thunderheart has explained it. If there is confusion, the Test Center forums have plenty of info on them on the same system.
There is no need for the 86 pages of **edit** that comes from every one of his posts. I wouldn't post if I were in his shoes either.

One I think the devs and Thunderheart do a wonderful job....they handle an incredible amount of people etc...they cant all explicitly please everyone all the time...

my opinion is onlu the post 9 unlockers should b auto given jedi slot
and I for one dont wanna see a billion jedi running around everywhere...so controlling population would be important...
if ya dont like it.....simply quit and cancel account....move on stop greifing...
but I bet most of u stay...its like a drug and your hooked....a few days or even a week wont Kill you will it....let the devs and TH handle their business....they do a great job..

flame me all ya want....but the new system is gonna be in place...took devs and TH months to make it work...so its here to stay...go in a play the game and just wait for the visit....it will come they said so

1) TH and the DEV's are CLEARLY not doing a great job... you can tell this by the amount of people that have posted such things as:
"SOE can kiss my a$$", you %^$#*&^ b*tc*es can suck my *&^%", or how about " I'm cancelling my %^$&*#* account right now you lying ba&t4r*s"
2) Don't tell people to calm down, this is a serious matter, thousands of people have spent the last year working towards something like this only to see 70% of their effort smashed into worthless bits. They have the right to get pissed

I am sure this has been posted a bunch already, but I am too frustrated to check.This will possibly never get read, but if it does, then understand that I am just going with what am seeing and feeling based on the last week of this very divisive Jedi issue.Imagine that, the Jedi are a big issue in the movies and life (or at least our virtual life) is now imitating the art.
First, I cannot say how disappointed I was with the last minute delay to Publish 10.I am a software developer and am working on 2 projects for large governmental bodies, which happen to move a whole lot of money around.We quite often have to abort a delivery because the dark window goes bad and we cannot guarantee the users will be able to be serviced when we go live again.Not a happy time, but people understand when we explain what went wrong and give assurances when it will be delivered.If this is what happened then I apologize for my next rant, but you could at least cop to it and be a mature organization (it is not like most of the board readers have that high of opinion of SOE's ability to delivery anyway).
From the message you posted you said you wanted to make sure things were perfectly ready and delayed it a week.So why the last minute post telling us so?You must have known well in advance that there was risk in delivering so early, so either you lied about why you delayed, or you just don't think that people are excited for your software to be released.Both horrible mistakes.Our customers can tolerate a good reason for not deploying (network configuration issues, vendor software doesn't work as promised) but they cannot accept "we thought we would do more testing".That is known days in advance, or at least before close of business the day before.It is disrespectful to act the superhero and promise more than you can deliver.
OK I got over all that.I am, after a developer and subject to delusions of grandeur.Now this week I got up early (after saying up late 8) to see if it went live and yeah!I went to work a happy Wookiee, possibly a force sensitive happy Wook.So then I get a post mid morning that I will be waiting an indeterminate amount of time to be allowed to even get started since yall are worried about lag.You visit Dantooine on Starsider lately?The 80 people at the mining outpost don't seem to mind.You worried about emersion?The characters TaterSalad and AlbusDumbledore broke me of that a long time ago.
And again, why the last minute post after the release is out there?Didn't know how it was going to work?Or do prefer to mess with folks who were on at sunup just in case, since half the game's interesting content these days are best done first thing in the morning when no one is one to compete against. I actually considered taking the day off just to bask in a few minutes of force sensitivity or work my butt off to get there, good thing I was responsible and went to work.
So here is my beef.SWG is a colossal achievement for software and occasionally resembles game design.I think it is funny that over the last few months you have coped to having bad game mechanics, a bad system for unlocking advanced game content, a bad vendor mechanism, yet hey put out more cash in another month cause space will be cool!I need honesty.You can be real honest when folks grind you enough, but let me be honest, I don't play this game cause of any of the content outside the SW of SWG.I like it for the interaction.The quests are hackney at best, mistaking obscurity for challenging. The Hero quest was hours of looking for a white dot to have 30 seconds of shooting (Unless buffed, then 10 seconds).The game has focused around playing a ridiculous amount of hours and getting something, now it seems to want to be sit for a few days doing nothing, then we will allow you to do the next thing, just cause we don't want you to do it too quick.
I am for the first time in the 6 or so months I have been playing wondering if it is even worth it. It feels like an arranged marriage would be:Looks great on paper, but not so good when you are being lied to or at least not told the whole story, just to make it seem mysterious (unless your read the boards)
Please, let us play the game.If we have too many Jedi, hunt them, or join them, or just go stay in space.But let us move towards our goals not wait for them to move towards us.
