Can i ask a stupid question here? how do I know if I am under the old system or the new system? What makes the difference. I logged in today. I have done 9 professions ( I know very low) I have numerous POIs (up to master expolorer) I have Jabba' s, Nym's, Rebel and Warren Compassion Project Dead Eye, Librarian badges but I still only rate a barely feel a diiference. I really would like some clarity about what I have to do to glow. I really have enjoyed this game but I hate hidden things that only certain people know it smacks of eliticism. If some one could please tell me who to glow so I dont get left behind I would appreciate it. Please hold the "you havent done enough to talk on these boards crap either." I really am looking for constructive feedback. I really do understand the frustration of all those who were expecting there Jedi today and I am sorry you got screwed over.

Wow... I mean... Why not tell the players when this Santa Claus cover will show on their doorstep? You got people excited, gave hope, and, with a wrong move, you will make them wait 1 or 3 days for a visit? C'mon... I have mastered only one profession in +1 year, and it is smuggler. Nevercared about jedi... Until, it ruined several things for me and for a large player base. You know, combat revamp, smuggler revamp, droids and several other things.
You spit on the regular non-jedi wannabe players delaying things, then, you go and trick all jedi wannabe players who did several sacrifices to unlock their characters.
Be serious! You are a bunch of aliens trying to discover how human beings work underdifferent kinds of emotions!
And I say, you prefer anger, right?
Now, contiune withyour good work... B... B... Bwhuahuahuahua!!!

Personally I don't think the lag will be too bad OR die down quickly because:
1. Not everyone on these forums is on the same server, like TC2 and TC was, so the lag will be less than those 2 servers.
2. Not everyone on the server want to be a jedi and will rush to the village.
3. Not everyone is ready.
So the idea of waiting 1-3 days at the least is a very bad decision if you want to reduce lag in the village.

You know. it really doesnt do any good to try and explain it. Most of the people asking these questions would rather believe something else. so they wont listen to what anyone has to say even if its the truth, unless it comes from a dev, who you shouldnt believe anyway....thats ironic.
If you are glowing and the force is with you. Congrats, you can get into the village, no more badge collecting for you. But that doesnt mean 1-3 days...The people who will get 1-3 days are the people who completely unlocked during publish 9 and those who are 1 step away from it. Those who are 2 steps will come after those, and 3 steps next and so forth.
Even if you dont believe I read it right, or you wish to believe differently. Im gonna suggest that you imagine its gonna take a week or two if you havent already unlocked. That way when day 4 comes you're not left out in the field crying about what someone told you on the forums. If im wrong, all the better for you, I wish i was wrong.

FWIW it is speculated glowyness is related to holding certain badges, but nobody knows for sure.

If this is true then may I ask why am I glowing ? I only did one holo and mastered 8 other prof and have been glowing since I logged this morning at 9am.

link to a "guide to being glowy everytime" glowy is based off of badges, not professions.

Great Job!! I am excited for the old man’s visit but I have patients so when he shows he shows and that’s good enough for me.
Please ignore the whiners that didn’t bother trying the holocrons and now wish they had because padwan is not going to be handed to the on a silver platter.And also please ignore the whiners that feel they will cancel there account, there girlfriends, uncles, aunt once removed, cousins sistters friends brother account because the old man didn’t run up to them in the middle of town bow down and hand them a light saber and say go forth and be FS.If you play the game play it as is.It’s fun really! I enjoy it as due many others very much!It takes Time luck and patients to become FS so enjoy the ride and you will enjoy the journey.
So great job guys I love the game and now love it even more and I don’t think you get the credit that you truly deserve.

This is the darn problem. Nobody reads the original post. Its seems they all jump to page 9 million and try to "figure it out" from the ensuing temper tantrums of various people. Dont try to explain. All that will happen is you will give them more words to confuse them because they cant read.
Thunderheart has explained it. If there is confusion, the Test Center forums have plenty of info on them on the same system.
There is no need for the 86 pages of **edit** that comes from every one of his posts. I wouldn't post if I were in his shoes either.

everyone (even hologrinders) are under the new system
If you are glowy in the new system, you get a visit in the first wave if you will (or you should)
If you were a hologrinder and are NOT GLOWY you enter the group structure.
IF You were a hologrinder and you ARE GLOWY you enter the new system.
the Old System group structure is simply to reward hologrinders with not having to re-do a lot of work and spend more time triggering the old man visit, they can get it automatically without being glowing.

I would like to say that SOE and SWG can kiss my a** I have been playing for over a year trying and trying to get jedi but they keep putting speedbumps in my way the holo grind *slaps devs in the face* I can't sit at my pc 150 hrs a week. Why don't you open the thing like through seniority whoever has been on for long as i have or up to a year should just get it for the love of god. For this reason i know it's not goin to happen this is why im quitting this game because it is absolutely rediculous and the SOE/SWG team who made publish ten is horrible at everything they do.

I got the surge of the force within me having done all poi badges, rebel
themepark and 6 professions, will i be in one of the groups? how long
will i have to wait or im i gonna get screwed over for the sake
of more badges?

WELL MAYBE THE DEVS HELPPED YOU {LIKE THEY DID OTHER JEDI}, BUT I BEEN PLAYING THIS GAME OVER 14 MONTHS ALOT OF MASTERS BUT NOT ALL AND "YES I AM PISSED OFF" ABOUT IT ... I PAY LIKE EVERYONE ELSE DOES AND IF THIS IS THE UNFAIR WAY THE WAS GOING TO DO THIS THEY SHOULD HAVE PUT IT ON THE FREAKEN BOX INSTEAD OF TAKEN MY MONEY LIKE THEY DID OR AT LEAST CHARGED ME LESS THAN THE ONES THEY GAVE THE JEDI TO !!!!!!!! THEN THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN FAIR... NOT THIS WAY !!!
