Here's my 2 credits. Sorry if they're just a repeat of other's concerns.



  • Reduce DoT attacks to faction pets by 75% or more, or actually take into account the resists the AT-ST has. This will hopefully stop the one round kills by a single commando, but would stillgive reason for Imps to fear them.

  • Make the amount of faction pets that can be taken out governed by a squad leader mod, not CH. CH should be able to have 3 cats out, but their animal empathy shouldn't translate to a soldier. What's the CH gonna do? Throw a storm commando a ball of yarn to play with?

Please note I don't have an AT-ST, nor am I a squad leader. I'm a pistoleer/CH/brawler, but I am not trying to be biased. I just want fair and balanced play

You just "balanced" the Star Wars right out of your game.


I don't really care about AT-ST's or CH pets or what you do with them, but making ranked Imperial and Rebel Officers unable to control more than ONE TROOP each is *laughable*.


Let's see....how many CH's did I see in Star Wars movies? Hmm. Ah yes! Zero.


But you are sacrificing the Galactic Civil War in favor of a profession which doesn't even play a part in the movies.


But it's sure nice to know we'll all see LESS Storm Troopers, LESS military presence, and MORE animals in the game, proportionally.


LOL.


You guys are so out of control with your "balancing" you forgot about Star Wars.


Truly, you are turning this game into a huge disappointment.

I have a question: if non CH can only have 1 pet.. does that cap include droids? For example, right now on live people can have an animal pet plus a droid pet out at same time. Is that no longer possible by a non-CH?

Thanks for Responding Thunderheart,

You guys are doing well with the vehicles by the way. I've had tons of fun with them on the test center. A few quick thoughts...

The X34 Land speeder jolts around a lot on uneven terrain, might be nice to smooth it out a bit considering its size. Also, it would be cool to have the POV angle with the vehicle while going up hills, etc. instead of seeing the vehicle go off to the side.

Medium armor and high resists mean nothing with DOT's. Fix the fact that DOT's should have to go through the armor, then do the damage that gets through each tick, instead of the full damage as it is now. AT-ST is just not viable in PvP until this is fixed, or it has about 50k ham. No way am I going to be taken for 9k faction points (street value about 1 million) in 20 seconds when there's no risk to the attacker. Yes at-st is more powerful than the rebel pets....and thats how the story goes, rebels have the numbers, imps *should* have the firepower.

The only thing people use them for now is farming faction missions (to get holocrons, and buy bases or more AT-STs). They die too easily to commandos in PVP, and even if they aren't killed outright they get flameconed and lose most of their health to MASSIVE, UNHEALABLE WOUNDS.


People will still use them for farming faction missions after the patch, only they'll have to replace them more often because less armor and resists means more unhealable damage and more unhealable wounds. After a couple faction missions, its HAM is too low to go on and since you can't heal it you can't do anything except store it and wait for it to heal overnight. When it gets too many wounds, it's completely useless and has to be replaced.


If you're not going to fix the wounds from flamecone, make themhealable via repair droids or something so our 6-30k faction investigation isn'trendered useless after taking one shot from a commando.


The limit ofone active faction pet will not have any significant impact on usage since the only situation where people used more than one was hunting krayts or other very large enemies. After they're removed from non-factional PVE, I don't expect anyone will be using them for anything besides faction farming.

Am I missing something here. Are you saying that a CH can have 3 AT-ST out, because they are pets, when everyone else can only have one. Sure the CH should be able to have 3 creatures, but not 3 faction pets. If I've got the wrong end of the stick just ignore me :-)

All I can say is ... LOWER the faction point cost of AT-STs if this game ever wants to actually see them used in PvP.


Good changes but, unless the cost is reduced ... no one will want to risk that many FPs on a pet that can die very easily from a combat class that is very common and very powerful.

I agree with the non PvE but you already nerfed it to hell & back, do you people ven play this game??? They go down in about 30 seconds especially from the BROKEN commando flame thrower.


If you first accept reasoning of flame throwers able to melt down armored military tanks (Good gawd!) then make all other weapons just as "realistic". Running over a minefield should blow your legs right off causing severe wound damage, almost same can be said from blast damage causing weapons such as turrets.


Why not make the game actually more Star Wars and remove these weapons we never seen? Flamethrowers are already outdated in RL and just plain evil weapons. Instead why not give commandos some nice heavy weaponry like we seen in star wars? For example the tri-pod cannon that was being set up against the Falcon in ESB? PLEASE fix things before making these huge non-thought out changes.


Oh can we get rebel & Imperial symbols on our undies since that's all we seem to see in combat?

ok people listin here, every one including the great people who built this wonderfull game are wondering why there are so many rebels well from what i see is yes the AT-ST i feel sence they get them they are equal to 10-20 men depending on what the skills the players have


i feel they should never drop an AT-ST i myself am a rebel but as they are doing is only letting an AT-ST fight PvP or other rebel AI i have been trying to get my self a holo for about 3 weeks now and i have nothing and trust me im out there everyday for more then 6 hours at a time killing more then 20 guys but i cant go to crystal caves because when i set foot in there there is 4 declared imperials with 3 at-st each now do you guys see the advantage there hmmm


as in fact sence they get an AT-ST i feel us rebels should have better AI we can buy because were all not commandos you know we dont need AI guys with 90% armor on everything im saying maybe more HAM with 50% armor on all but what you imps want is a AT-ST that will never die then how can that be fair


they way they die is just fine you guys want more armor more HAM come on now plus you guys who made this game you know there were going to be more Rebels not many people wanna be the bad side of the game =) BUT on starsider server all the rebels dont even fight actully on all the servers i have been on they dont fight we have more builders and non fighting professins then anything else to tell you the truth


and you imps with an AT-ST and you dont want it to DIE!!! then dont fight with it thats plain and simple
