An IDEA for a loot item

A schematic - could be 3 use could be permanent. For a tailor. Schematic is for a 'backpack' for a pet that could hold up to 10 items akin to a Droid storage module.


I was thinkingthey could be dragged onto a pet in a datapad (not reusable once fitted - let's say the harness had to be custom made for the pet). Then the pet could carry items just like droids with storage modules do - ie. have to be called out before you can get access to the things on them etc.


You wouldn't need any special graphics to do this - it would be nice but - i'd rather see it on all pets than just ones that are mountable ... on the other hand it would make more sense for it to be a add-on to the harnessing of the mounted pet.


Other things:


I really like the model ship idea that someone else posted.


BE stuff:

- secret research data please?

- BE skill tapes please?


How about creatures somehow dropping plans to clone them so that BE's could gain the recipe for making animals with the same SKIN as the one the plan is looted from. This would give us the ability to make more diverse animals (something with wings?).


Also - this is not a loot idea - but ... how about entertainers having the ability to mesmerize an animal so that it increases that chance that it would not aggro during sampling. And I mean by a GREAT deal - so that a BE teamed up with a musician could sample high aggro big meanie animals much more easilly, without the both of them getting whomped.

this is long over due thank the devs for this one. I would hope that current loot as in SEA's will stay in the game MAYBE the devs can think about fixing them i cant imagine it being that hard. First take ALL armor attachments seeing that they loose condition so fast. Then make it an option so that multiple mods on a single attachment can be selected. OR dont make multiple mods on an attachment. ALSO add the comando mods they need and take out ALL broken mods.

It isnot needed to create completely new system.

It might be easier to modify current adding something but not nerfing.

Fixing old problemsis not should be difficult.


I would suggest removing unworked mods, adding cool new features.

Temporary mods (skill buffs)should stick over existing.

In general I like this Loot system ideasbut only if it did not mean removing current SEA's system.

I was wondering the story Driven game seems lacking...Alot

JTLS Story Driven piloting ya umm Prepair to Die orituss shots meh 2 times then flys off...

SOE is a big company ya But thier Story Game plots are sub par EQ one had a good story plot Till the higher planes of justice Planes of Time ect

then Lost dungens of norrath I got the best loot and gear then noticed the story line really Went to the Dogs so i came to SWG

A new game lota nice concepts were are those old Sub story plots you know the empire and Rebel alliance story plots really well

Now as for Hutt brovo Lady V as i call her these were good None GCW story plots that sadly end and dont Keep going.

Ingenuity and creativity complemented with a game bursting with potential. Ive stayed with this game from the beginning and I will continue to do so.

I was thinking another cool idea, that would tie in 2, maybe 3 classes is the ability to loot creature eggs from nests that would hatch into a baby...maybe with less stats since it is a "born in captivity" creature.


Maybe have an artisan make an incubator for the egg that has to be in the Creature Handler's possesion before searching the nest, and then have a time limit for the egg to hatch into a baby.


I was thinking the incubator would have a success rating and a time rating, where some eggs for the more wanted creatures would take longer (even 2 months for the biggies maybe if you have a higher success rate expermentation wise). And each planet would have it's own type of incubator.


Tie the success rate of finding an egg with the creature difficulty and one of the skills for the creature handler...probably taming viscious and taming wild. Each nest is only searchable once by a person. Maybe even searchable by a ranger who has to have the incubators to give the rangers something else to do in the game...and they can sell the eggs to creature handlers before they hatch...have a timer on them and a general idea of what type of egg it is...like it could be a rancor egg, but you might get a regular, a bull, a grizzled...any of the rancor family of tamable creatures...but also program in a failure rate, so it isn't a guarantee it will hatch at all.


Don't know if it is possible, but would be a vewry cool way to get artisans, rangers (or even scouts...but rangers might have better chance of finding an egg), and creature handlers a chance of getting a good non-be'd pet of a rare type...and make people want to search nests more and rangers have more income opportunity.


Make the incubators go into the datapad and count as a creature...if the creature handler can't handle the creature level when it is born, have the creature run away or something, but have it get deleted from the data pad...maybe even have the creature hatch into a non-tamed baby, and have the creature handler try to tame it before they automatically get it also.


Just some ideas I had while driving home from work. Wanted to see what the community anddevelopersthought of it. good way to have artisans make money, and scouts/rangers make money in game, and gives creature handlers more pet options...maybe even have the ability to set creature color while in the incubator....want a pink rancor?

Possible suggestion for the wanted posters. Put infamous Jedi or other such characters (rebels) on the posters in their galaxy (more difficult to be sure but who could pass up having their own wanted posters up in their house!). In addition you could make imperial posters with an instant snapshot of their character dor sale with faction points. Im not sure how hard this would be to implement, but would make for some great fun! You could even link having wanted posters to being perm-a-overt for particularly infamous people. Kinda like the jedi have their rating with bounty hunters.

I understand your conserns about losing a Monopoly of mind wound healing, however Jedi already have this skill an my guess is the addition will be a limited use Iteam and a rare drop, and they will still need to see you to get there BF heald and that should NEVER be given to another Prof.
