Thread: IT 7-16: New Dungeon The Corellian Corvette
This is not the Tantive IV.

BTW, is this ship supposed to be the exact one from the movie, or just a sister ship? I'm not sure the Tantive IV survived it's encounter with Vader and friends.
However if this is the famous Rebel blockade runner, wasn’t that ship destroyed in the beginning of the story by the Empire, and according to our in game timeline aren’t we between the New Hope and The Empire Strikes Back? As is, the Death Star and Alderon have already been destroyed.
Aside from possible timeline inconsistencies
It would be nice if the dungeons AI, could determine if it was a group effort or a solo effort, I just went through it as an imperial with a small group of elite professions and we cleaned the entire dungeon with little to no effort then wandered around oohing and ahing at the new content etc, only we had difficult time trying to figure out what we were supposed to be doing after we killed all the rebel resistance.
Here are some suggestions that I feel would help add and show off the future of SWG
1) When taking the shuttle from the planet to the ship add some simple animations showing the shuttle taking off and then maybe docking with the Corvette
2) Once you have docked, and are in the “ready room” and enter the main hall, have lots of smoke and flashing lights along with the background sirens playing.
3) AI to determine if it’s a solo effort or a group, if solo maybe add more factional support, for groups add more unique loot, for example in my case I in was a group of 4 and only 1 marine chest plate was found that Imperials could wear. It would be neat if we all could have gotten one.
4) Give better direction from the quest giver as to why and what you’re supposed to do.
5) And finally, when we exit in the escape pod have some animation showing the pod leaving from the ship, maybe the ship exploding, then show the pod crashing on some planet like Tatooine, and drop the players at X unpopulated random location with an escape pod next to them. If in a group, put up to 2 people into each pod and land about 100 meters apart in different pods. Those pods can disappear once the player is out of the radar range of the pod.
Yeah. Like how today's car manufacturers will make an order of 1000 red VW Beetles. All the same car, each with different keys.
I'm actualy really worried about this, and future dungeons. It seems like only the most uber players in the entire game can actualy survive the dungeons, and even then, they have to be a in a big group. This really ruins the immersion... My favorite part of MMORPGs is the cool dungeons, but it's no fun when only the good players can enjoy these things.
My question is will there be dungeons meant for "the newbie player"?
Bug Report for the Corellian Corvette:
I did this solo, so I didn't see any group issues. However:
1. One of the two officer lounge codes (starboard, I believe, although I'm no naval recruit) does not work.
2. The door underneath the officer area does not open with any of the codes.
3. I could not get any of the controls (hyperdrive, fuel, controls) to do anything. "Use" resulted in "nothing happens" - URG!
However, unlike SulBandera, no doors magically unlocked. They all unlocked as a result of me using things in other parts of the ship. Maybe being in a group, this was not evident for them.
The ship is absolutely awesome looking, but not being able to get the quest done was incredibly irritating.

My fear is everything will be 'balanced' like the Genoshian Dungeon going forward. Not all of us uber buff ourselves and pay 1 million credits for advanced super composite."
This is exactly my point. Only "Uber buffed up TKMs" can really enjoy these dungeons. They sound so cool, but I can't even get through the front door! How is it supposed to be immersive if I can't survive for 30 seconds...
All right, I just went through again, this time on the Neutral path. Problem #1 - I had +5000 CorSec faction when I started, which meant none of the aggro NPCs on the ship felt compelled to attack me as I wandered about, trying to blow their ship up. The Bridge, Starboard Side Officer's Quarters, and Prisoner's Quarters were all locked today, and unlocked with their code appropriately. However, the Port Side Officer's Quarters still doesn't unlock with the code provided. Additionally, the fifth locked door located under the officer's quarter's still lacks a code or key card to open it.
I also got the "Nothing happens" response when attempting to use the Fuel Intake Controls, Hyperdrive Controls, and Engine Settings. When I used the Security Control Reset and the Elevator Control panels, I got a message stating "Someone else has already opened that door..." even though I was the only person on the ship. When I reached the doors those control, they opened simply by selecting Use from the radial menu of the keypad outside the doors.
I also had problems getting on and off the ship. When I first talked to Klaatu, there was a long delay between talking to him and being transported to the Corvette. Previously, I'd been transported immediately. This time, I talked to him, nothing happened. I tried a couple more times and received "You already have an outstanding travel request" messaages. I gave up, placed the ticket in my safe deposit box, and went to do something else. 40 minutes later, standing in front of the Dragon's Call Shuttleport, I was loaded into the Corvette with no warning (and no ticket in my inventory). Upon leaving the ship using the Escape Pod Controls, I was dropped off at -312, 3847 Tatooine, directly in front of Skystone's factional bases. Since I had done the neutral path and had no TEF, I managed to escape an untimely end, but others doing the Imperial path have been less fortunate.
Finally, what's the cloning situation supposed to be on the ship? Cloning onboard results in waking up in the first room with the full complement of uncloned wounds and BF, plus no chance to reinsure your items (maybe not a problem for the factional version [though you do pick up a couple new clothing/armor items], but a big one for the neutral one).
