Not a flame, but something you need to consider.

When is a jedi not a jedi?

in patch 10, anyone unlocking will start off with there mains and mini jedi, and as you climb the branches you remove your old prof skills and work up jedi.

So if you want to go hunting with your guild in TKA mode, should you be allowed to wear armor? and what about those force sensitive attributes.

All I am saying is being a jedi is not a switch you can turn on or off. its an evolution of ones toon.

Understand JEDI EXP (exp based on normalized kills)

Master Elite Prof 3,891,000 exp / 4200 exp = 926 Rancors for Master Elite anything
Master LightSaber 15,280,000 exp / 1000 exp = 15280 Rancors for Master LS

As to the Jedi TEF. Well, it would be nice if the system they have now been foced to play in didn't force them into KSing and ninja looting. Perhaps as they have been asking for since the beginning a method of getting crystals that doesn't require a loot drop? This way some of the more camped areas would be less so, but still give them the opportunity to group with friends and actually play more of the limited game content available.

The large numbers we see right now running around will drop off as the novelty of being out in the open fades for the most part. Make visibility a real and known component to their lives. Have it so that if they start dueling in front of the ticket collector in Coronet the fact that there are 40 people there will get them on the terminals instantly. Set it so they get tons of visibility for camping caves from people who can see them who are not grouped with them. If their groumates do not give them visibility they can't complain about the lack of social contact, but at the same time it will keep the solo campers away.

In my mind the biggest problem with the new Jedi system is the FRS. PVP was all ready pretty much hosed in this game and now high level Jedi complaining there are not enough overts to kill has finished it off. The majority of the player base should not be xp fodder for a small number of players. There has to be a much more creative method for this. Make some effort to come up with real content for the Jedi at this level. All too often it appears laziness is the way content is added, SBDs for example.

There have been many more intelligent, thought out, and frankly all around better ideas put forward to add content to this game and make the professions better on these boards. I know there is a lot of flame and garbage being thrown out, I am guilty of that at times as well, but there are a lot of good ideas. You have a player base that wants this game to have a long and awesome life. We are willing to make sacrifices to make this happen and are glad to offer ideas. Use the community you have available. For all the comments from certain devs about how the community is so important to this game, the most important aspect of this is always ignored. The bitterness, and anger we see so much now on the forums didn't really start till the very strong impression that SOE and the Devs don't really care about the players, or even apparently play the same game we do began to be seen with the patches being pushed to live.

Ok, I'll stop before this gets to be a rant. But, Devs/ SOE, you can and need to start doing a better job at things. You can and need to start using the ideas offered on the forums to make the game better. You can and need to stop treating this game like your doctoral psych thesis.

24) Cannot harvest more than 100 units of a resource from a creature. When this 100 resources is retrieved you can no longer harvest anymore of that resource type (unless you delete the current 100 units). You get a message that the container is full. I get the system message: "You harvested 186 unit(s) of Endorian Leathery Hide. The creature was fat and healthy" but there is not 186 units retrieved.

We still can’t recreate this, though QA is still working on reproducing this problem.

This bug happened to me once when i had my inv at 58/60 or 59/60. Seems that the resource harvested from the critters come in packs of 100 max, so if you kill a critter wich will drop more than 100 hide, meat or bones you will need to loot from him more than a single container, the ui will try first to load all the containers in your inventory, then it will try to merge them.

Issue: Locking all Endgame content into one class

Very accurate write up on what will happen as a result of Publish 9 and the forthcoming Publish 10.

6 months from now, if you are not a jedi there will be no hope in competing in the limited dungeons in this game or PvP.

This will impact the crafting porfessions too... jedi make their own weapons (weaponsmith) and jedi get free robes (tailor and armorsmith). Since we are all alcoholics and required to drink brandy to survive in combat there shouldnt be much impact to chefs. The architect market is already dead and I dont need to comment on droid engineers.

I have played this game since day 2 because I want to immerse my self in the episode 4-5 time line. I did not buy this game to be a jedi as that was not advertised and we all know Jedi are suppose to be very rare. I have no jedi envy. I have had plenty of time to be a grind monkey and get jedi. If I want to play a jedi i could easily have bought KOTOR.

I think it is in the best interest for game that the TEF be reinstated. Maybe only in cities, maybe after a certain level of visibility. I want to see the Jedi have just as much fun as I do in this game, but I do want to adhere to the timeline. That means get those silly super battle droids out of here too!!

Structures Disapperaing

This is an important issue.I’ve received a bunch of reports but there is no data on this side.If you are still seeing this, please let me know.

A few days after Pub 9 was pushed, maintenance was bugged. People were losing houses with million of resources, and factories would dissappear.

I can expect a few people to have forgot about maintenance, but I knew of at least 10 in my city alone. All the CSRs are saying is the maintenance ran out. Some of these people have 200k+ in every structure just because of this issue. It happened a few months ago and seemed to happen when this was pushed live. I had heard our City Hall lost 1 million credits due to this as well.

I understand bug happen, but to lose 6 months of resource gathering and all a CSR says is you didn't pay the maintenance gets extremely annoying. The trust to be able to store anything anywhere is completely lost. I've got 250 days worth of maintenance in everything I own now and I still think it could disappear any day and wouldn't be surprised one bit.

ALSO - Please don't use HTML if you don't have to. It really makes it a pain when I need to edit the quote.

That's probably why they nerfed 99% of the players with this ridiculous armor/weapon delay. It was directly branching from their design decision to allow Force Sensitive players progress later through to jedi.

In answer to your question, I pose this question: Is destroying capabilities for ALL other combatplayers to respond to a JEDI-specific expected exploit a correct response?

So, considering that question, I would have to answer yours with : "Yes, Force sensitive characters able to perfom force powers/use lightsabers should, at that specific stage, lose all ability to even wear any armor at all ever, until they relinquish their ability to use jedi powers/lightsabers."

It is a BAD design decision and adversely affects too many people in far too harsh a manner (making the whole idea of constructing your own character design worthless).

Plus, TH, a server with the whole jedi quest thing turned off would be super.

1. Immersion (remember how much you guys love immersion? starport waits and all? This is real immersion) would be better on such a server. No more roving jedi gank squads flexing and dancing in front of imperial recruiters when they should be murdered by several hundred quick reaction Nova troopers.

2. GCW Health - this would improve as the jedi wouldn't be ganking every overt they see for FRS points. People would actually go overt again. (FRS points should only come from other jedi and BH's, not from overt novice marksmen)

3. Testing: Without jedi to confuse issues and gank everyone for FRS points, combat classes would be more active and be quicker to find bugs in overt and covert combat.

4. Customer Relations: With allowing an OPTION for a player to go to another server where jedi can not be made, a lot of the ill will concerning jedi will dissipate. Allowing an option for people to play as just folks in the Star Wars universe of the movies would be a huge selling point - kind of like what is on the box, you know.

-Jedi are rare in this time period (between A New Hope and The Empire Strikes Back). Becoming a Jedi and surviving as a Jedi is very very very very difficult (and rewarding) in Star Wars Galaxies: An Empire Divided

Sounds as if some of the Jedi who don't want to be under constant threat of death and or being hunted didn't really grasp the concept of what they were getting into in this game when they decided to be a Jedi.

To all the people screaming for Sabre TEF, just wait a month or 2 till the FRS kicks into high gear. There will be Overt jedi’s to hunt. You can count on it.

Well considering the FRS is already fubarred off the starting line, and PAs have already figured out ways of dominating the enclaves on TC I'd say theres not too much hope in waiting for the FRS to kick into high gear : \

We need to keep no jedi tef, its hard enough being hunted by BHs all the time (and ever better for BHs now we increase visibility by actually playing the game), no tef means I can play the game and not hill huurton stalkers for the next 4 months, it keeps me lower level longer because I can actually go and out and do things, it allows me to pvp and it puts me on the BH terminals more, why would you change it back.

Pretty much made my day right there. Please hurry with this one.

Yeah the whole thing struck me while reading the state of the game notes. This is the Devs' plan for an endgame... One path, some boxes of FS skills that adds a few points in combat or crafting mods (speed, accuracy, creature knowledge etc) and ONE profession that you only can advance in by using a lightsaber.

And this will be all we get since the next publishes is devoted to other stuff and then finally JTL.

It's so discouraging.

Jedi Robes, resists... or lack there of.

BH Mission Penalties, not scaled properly for upcoming jedi.

Documentation on visibility, if a tree falls in the woods.........

Should all be looked at. I wouldn't ask you to fumble blindly through a maze of razor wire. Why should a paying customer have to do this?

Is it true that hard to document code as you go...

((/sarcasm, because I know it's not hard to use xml to document methods. Assuming your using any type of modern programming language or practice.))

All of this is on Server Bria, any planet or location

I have found a few live issues with Jedi I'd like to have addressed:

1. Crystals can be tuned multiple times increasing their stats like double slicing. To do this one simply tunes the crystal then after hitting OK, immediately click on it and tune it again before it has a chance to return and say it's tuned. I do not know if this is possible with pearls, but I suspect it is probably the same...

2. When using force speed 1 in the enhancement tree, if you inadvertantly press the key again by accident while the power is still in effect it will turn it off like a toggle... It should do like other powers and indicate that you are already under the influence of this power and do nothing rather than turn it off.

3. Bounty hunter vs. Jedi group TEFs... When a bounty hunter tracks a jedi down and attacks, and the jedi attacks back... the BH's entire group can jump the Jedi... this is fine... however if the Jedi is in a group, his group cannot attack the bounty hunter of the BH's group if they are opposing faction even though they are attacking one of their group members. If the BH can group gank the Jedi, the opposite should also be true.

4. When using force run 1 under the enhance tree, if you hop on a speeder bike, it leaves a lighting trail behind even though you are driving the bike rather than running.

Thanks for your hard work, we appreciate all that you guys do, we wouldn't complain if we didn't love the game to begin with! *grin*
