Thread: Publish 7 Feedback: Droid & Droid Engineer Enhancements
I am currently 0-2-0-3 on the skill chart and the Droid defesive module Cluster was opened up to me last sunday afternoon...
I thougt that i could produce the "weaponmodule", now but the DDMC asks for 3?? slots,filled with 1(2?) Combat Capable Droid Modules.....
What are those?? I thought i saw something to put in this socket Mondaynight but Lastnight i could not find it anymore...
It is not in the Master Artisian Tree and not in the DE Tree.
Strange,i am standing in front of a Droid Crafting Station when opening my droid crafting tool.
Is there something wrong?? Or am i not looking right??
In the meantime i just go on mass producing GP and MM modules and Droid brains until i get a good impression what the *** is going on.
I was looking out for a game like this since the first SW movie came out but after reading these forums on the net it seems that people working at the cutting edge of technology are a little devided on what a droid should be i think.
If droids are going to be as versatile as the Movie/storyline suggests,there is a lot to repair for the dev's and i don't even mentioned the Space Upgrade, regarding the use of droids in spaceships.
I strongly suggest the DEV'S to take this oppertunity to repair or Perfect the DE proffession because if it stays by just a lot of publicity and no improvement one might consider terminating their game prescription
simply because all proffessions are flawed...
Droids should have/are,a verry big impact on a society even if it is Fictional. I hope that de DEV's grab this oppertunity to get our proffession straightened out once and for all ,so they too can go on with their scedule because i get the impression that their time-plan is getting screwed up.
one might get the impression they are gooing over budget as we speak...
One last line: I like this game ,i bought it last december and are playing almost everyday. But one shoud practice what they preach dont they?? Sony cannot just sell this game on the succes of the SW-saga alone.

regarding to the people quiting due to DE disappointment i already know several ppl that has quitted the game due to the this kind of issues...
i agree DE is one of the most attractive professions in SGW and also is the crapest one .. we are playing a science fiction game , droids are mandatory on this kind of events.
what i do not understand is that we have already seen combat droids on this game, geonosian lab, public events .. so they are supposed to be "programmed" already
are developers testing them?
BTW : do developers answer in forum? i think this a very important issue to discuss and i see no answer/comment from them
i guessed this forums were the way to contact developer team to improve the game
Only thing I would like to see eventually is CL60 DE pets. Least it would make the DE line far more interesting and fun. They could set the same limitations for DE droids as they do with CH pets. Even CL30 pets, or anything beyond CL10. Least then, droids would be worth more than just something to look at or use for crafting, healing, buffing, or whatever. It would be fun to be able to run into combat with 3 CL30 droids, and actually be a challenge for some of the other elite combat classes. I might be missing something, maybe too overpowered or something, though if it was done similar to CH, I dont see how. It just seems like the DE tree could be so much more entertaining than it is.

i think droids are a nice part of SW universe... and also the weakest point of the game
is nice to have combat droids of course, but , dont u think is a little bit strange to fight with and R2 or an R5 droids ? they are supposed to be astro bots mainly for "repairments" , terminal hacking bla bla bla .. all but combat!!
i think we do need new chassis for combat droids .. like IG-88 ( trade federation droids ) , droideka ( a full combat droid , that in fact can be seen of geonosian lab ) or super battle droid ( episode II ) seen on a recent live event
it is weird to fight with and R5 shooting rays.
I think we are all disappointed with this publish , i personaly expected some kind of combat droid presence , like imperial crackdown, fighting against combat droids ( probably NPC ) i think there was a event of this type some days ago maybe u are testing it for promoting the to live ..
When i saw the wallpapers for this publish i really get excited, cause the wallpaper showed us some combat droids fighting, and the only change has been an inclusion of combat modules mainly on existing chassis ..
My question to developers :
is there any intention of adding new chassis for pure combat droids? a lot of people is expecting so
if so i think we do need a new discussion .. should they be related to creature handler capabilities? this is u need CH to handle a level 20 droid for example ?...

His comments are not accurate anyway. Yes the majority of DE's on the forums were oppossed to the DC idea, but so werea lot of non-DE's. And in the end, the reason the dev's gave for not implementing the Droid Commander now was that they realized it was a bad idea to add yet another profession to the game at a time when so many of the existing professions still need serious work.

Something that impacts the Star Wars Galaxy, as we know it, in such ahuge fashion (Droids are an INTRIGAL part to the Star Wars Universe), should NOT ONLY be decided by the profession that it pertains to. Combat Droids should be a OPEN discussion, NOT relagated to JUST DE's. IF this is true....shame on Lucas/SOE. Something like that should be in the Concept/Development Forums for everyone to see and comment on.
you can call your droid. but you need to put your creature pets away first.

I'm not happy with the nerfing of my pre nerf probot and r2, r3, and power droids now instead of my probot doing 110-120 light armor and 12% resistances and 3200 ham now at 800ish ham no armor like 50 damage and still 12 on resists i had this bot since 1 week after launch this was a collwctors bot now its a piece of garbage bot why you gotta mess with GREATNESS ouch!
Secondly why not introduce new models for droids like spider droids or super droids make a quest for the scematics these new combat mods are ok but frankly not much of a differnce i bought 2 one still on order the one i have now last a whole 20 seconds of a battle whoop-di-do! All us Loner mission gowers need some help out here throw us a bone man!
Third issue if not make new models and better stats on the exsisting bots you nerfed how bout being able to call out a battle droid and amaybe a repair droid so i can fix it after fighting a kreetle NOT happy at all here i know this issue can be addressed and fixed i mean come on droids are everywhere in the storylines they are the supporting cast behind everything!
