Just found this out, myself! On Eclispe server.

There were so many STs, my system crashed. Won't be surprised if I find I've been db'd when I relog.

I don't know if there was a bug that caused all these STs to keep spawning on top of each other, but this is ridiculous, Devs. There were so many STs, my radar was full with yellow blips. Each of them seemed to be scanning for rebels, saying that "such as such" is a suspect (my name, and several others, came up in the few seconds I stayed). So what, now covert rebels aren't even allowed to use the Starports without being made overt?

This is game breaking (literally) and must be fixed.

Well, I reloged, and made it past the STs without them firing on me (and before 1/10 of them loaded). But by the time I made it in the starport, the area outside was full of st's again, and the system crashed.

FYI, Devs, you may want to reboot Eclipse.

As a covert Reb, I'm not going to jump on the "let's use Forced PvP as our euphamism" bandwagon. Honestly, this sort of crackdown is what I was expecting from launch. I want to have the feeling of being under the thumb of the Empire. Before the patch, I never carried any contraband on me--never needed to. Now, I might carry a bit of rebel gear just to increase the fun.

So here's one covert Reb looking forward to more CRACKDOWN

Imperials aren't better at Smuggling, being immune from consequences and being better at it aren't the same thing.

Smugglers can avoid a percentage of scans regardless of rank, faction allegance or overt status.

Smugglers can group with people and protect them from scans, imperials cannot.


You also have to look at who is doing the searches. The Imperials are corrupt, everyone knows this, they are going to let their guys off. Maybe you should be asking for afair 3rd party to being doing scans as well.


I still haven't seen at what rank at which covertimperials get to be let go as well, if its sufficently high this really doesn't matter.

Um, where is the "Publish 6 Feedback: Bugs" thread? It's quite obvious after one day that it would be the busiest thread on this forum, and the most useful in providing real feedback to the developers to address customer concerns.

Honestly, I don't mind being emmersed in the oppressiveness of the Empire. What I do mind is being forced into PvP. Whether you like the euphamism or not, that's what's happening when the game changes a players status from covert to overt. There's no "if's," "and's" or "but's" about it.

The devs should consider other ways of accomplishing their "immersion" goal than punishing PvEers by making them susceptible to PvPers.

Um... Okay. I skimmed the rest of this thread, but not very deeply. I do have one complaint though.. is it me.. or did Bria get all of the other servers' stormtroopers? Please do something about hte intensely overloaded spawn of them in Kor Vella. Being chased by Stormies is all right.. being crashed by them by intensive lag, is not all right.

Oh, also. As somoene else said. Can you please cut the dialogue of the stormies down? The spam is annoying as heck. I'd be happy to have an anti-npc spam filter anyways. Always have hated the spam they throw out.

No, it wouldn't be possible. You can't have your cake and eat it, too. All you Imps are telling us covert Rebs to stop whining about being FORCED into PvP. Well, the same Imps can just zip it and sit down. If there are more STs around, of COURSE there are going to be more FP around. What good reason could there POSSIBLY be for a Rebel NOT getting faction for killing an Imp? I'll tell ya what reason: NONE.

Sorry if I have no sympathy. I didn't expect this nice side effect from this screwed up patch. Frankly, I'm glad the other Rebels who don't mind PvP'ing have figured this FP thing out. Way to turn a negative into a positive!

Well, I saw an unbuffed Teras Kasi Master take out the 4 stormtroopers that shook him down without breaking a sweat.

Is this working as intended? Or are the stormtroopers supposed to be more than faction bait?

While making my way to Kor Vella's starport, an uncountable amount of Stormtroopers spawned. I then crashed, and am unable to log on. As the loading screen gets a bit over halfway done, I am brought back to my desktop. Wow I love this patch!

you put them in kor valla or however you spell it, and what do you get, the respawn bug, hundreds, thousands, hundreds of thousands. can't move, crash, can't load in, you crash... great job.... fix the bugs so that this doesn't happen
