The more I thought about this the more it ate at me. Why does it take 1 to 3 days? I assume there is a logical explanation why everybody who is qualified must now wait a few more days until the content is unlocked but for the life of me I can't figure it out. Care to shed some light on it?

well to me this is why it takes 1-3 days.......

this is a turn based game, yes? the main factor that lags out this game is the turns.....all the turns get stacked and if a zone lags they stack and have to catch up but in the order theat they were done......

the one to three days is prolly because they cant have the old man spwn at more than 1 place at once and has to wait for 1 person to be done before he can appear to a different person...

either that or they just havent patched him out yet so....

I can tell you why from personal Experiance. I stupidly loged out in Cornet the day befor they introduced Player Mounts(thats right orignally we walked/burstran EVERYWHERE). When I loged in on patchday I literally could not move and the Type Echo was like 4 secs. (I would type a letter and 4sec later it would apare next to my cursor) ALL of the Shuttleport and the surounding areas where ether Blue or Purple Dots there had to have been like 400 people in the city and ALL they where doing was asking for mounts. Can you imagen if everyone that could get missions from the village could do so imediatly? it would likely crash the shard. That is the reason for the delay. In laymans terms "the Fire Marshial Only apoved the village for X number of players at a time when one person leaves another can enter.

I don't believe this. I was glowy when I logged on yesterday, I've spent almost 2 days in the wilderness and I'M STILL WAITING!!!!

Ive been waiting very long for old man. I unlocked pub 9 and thought id be in the first group to go like ive read in ur first post but people that havent unlocked r getting visits did i get skiped or something. I feel that ive waited long enough and im sick of waiting in the wilderness for ever if something doesnt happen soon i might just quite swg

I ground out 3 holo's on the old system, and when i logged in after the patchi was glowie...am i up for an automatic visit?

I'm post this in hopes to get an answer:

When the patch went live yesterday I logged into my main on Scylla to check out the new stuff and see what my 'sensitivy' would be. I had helped a bit to test part of this publish on TC and TC2 so I was pretty confident I would have a higher level of sensitivity. Maybe even surging. I had alot of POI badges (not all) Corvette badges, (not all) and themepark badges (again, not all). I have 8 mastered professions since I chose to not do the grind (didn't really have any interest in being a jedi). I did 1 holocron, the second I didn't like, so I just gave up on that. However, recently I have become..well..bored with the game and decided to try either becoming force sensitive or just going all out and trying Jedi. Any..back to the point..I logged in to check things out, did /check all full of excitement to find: "You barely since something different about yourself". Hmm...ok...I guess I didn't have enough badges. So...I went out, got some more POI Badges, Did another Themepark...attemped a 3rd Theme park..it was broken (something i will take up with a CSR in game). So as I did these things I kept checking my status. Each time getting barely. To cut this short...am I bugged? Am I doing something wrong? When I tested this on TC and TC 2 (before the character terminals)I got to barely with only 8 explore badges. And this was it, it was a brand new character at that time. I have tried talking to CSRs, phone, chat, all of it, and have found out they are no longer answering questions about FS stuff. So, I am here, hoping for an answer. I have been playing SWG for awhile now (a little over a year off and on time and finances permiting) and am a little frustrated. I don't gripe about things, i accept decisions and alway find a way to enjoy myself. This was something that really interested me though..so much I went to TC. If you can give me any insight, I would be most obliged. Thank you.

Right on. It's ridiculous how we're all being made to wait while the lucky few get it. I've already cancelled my account, if the old man doesn't show up soon I ain't renewing, nuts to you $$$$OE

You know they could've least have made it so you only glow when the old man is ready to visit you. It would avoid a lot of frustration and give people a gauge on when they should expect them!

Because I am freakin tired of seeing that "The Force is with me" when it obviously is NOT.
