That's not an inconsistency. If you're about to become an SWG-Jedi, pray tell what "business" you expect to be going about that doesn't involve "hanging out in the wilderness?" 
Now as it seem you get no unlocks for 5 profs left, 1 unlock for 4, 2 for 3, 4 for 2 and 5 for 1. So since i've done 26 profs of which I know 4 were actually holo's looks like i'm definately going to get one tree unlocked. Now how ever slight it maybe I could end up with only one tree cause the other 4 holos could be in the other 6 I did not do. Real nice SOE good way to stick it to the customer base. Now on top of that they changed the requirements mid-stream from 5-8. While not changing the way the holos worked. So for someone like me who's been on since day 1 and stuck with it. Is most likely going to get shafted cause i'd rather of played the game instead of hologrinding all 32 profs.
What really peeves me is the fact they changed the number mid-stream, which then made me have to have 8 hidden profs yet most likely before that I had all my talking holos done and had only to find my hidden one. Here's a question for you TH, if my holo went silent before you increased the hidden holo requirements would I be in the category of only having one hidden left? Most likely not it seems to me. Then to top it off SOE stays quiet all the way up till patch day so no one could complain. Yet theres still no way of knowing what group i'm in or how many profs i'm missing, considering grinding profs no longer matter. The only thing i'm really peeved about is the holo credit we're getting as it seems that alot of people are going to get shafted and will still be stuck grind out XP to convert to force XP. So I say congrats to all those that grinded out profs to unlock, as you will be rewarded and the rest well they said it be fair???????
Look. What is so hard to understand about having people line up to take their turns at the Village? Why is there such outrage amongst you impatient children? Don't you understand that 100,000+ can't possibly descend upon Dathomir all at once? It is physically impossible for the servers to take that kind of load. They've set up a line in the most fair way possible, yet you still whine, and cry, and whine some more. Think about it, what would happen if they allowed 100,000+ people to all cram into a theater that only holds 1000 at the Episode 3 Premiere?
I swear. You impatient children make me sick with your incessant whining. I also find it silly that the people who sat around grinding 25+ professions over a few months say they're going to cancel their accounts because they don't want to wait 1-3 days to get into the village. Think about it. You macro'd and clicked the mouse a million+ times over the course of 25+ professions, over the course of months, yet when faced with the choice of sitting down and doing nothing for a few days to wait for your turn to pick up your prize, or quitting the game, you say you'd rather quit the game? Over waiting for 1-3 days? Riiiight.
It's clear you're not going to throw away all of the time you spent grinding professions over a 1-3 day wait. And if you really are going to quit, dude, you must be the biggest idiot alive.
You also say there's NO communication between the Devs and the community? Now I KNOW you're an idiot. What the heck do you think this whole thread was started on? What the heck do you think Thunderheart has been doing answering questions within this thread? There was A LOT of communication going on. Thunderheart communicated A LOT about what was going on in the initial post. In one post, TH dispelled all the rumors circulating around the Village. Think about it, if he didn't tell us how they separated people into lines to get into the Village, there would be idiotic rumors, conspiracy theories, etc., about why only a segment of the population were being visited.
Personally, I think you whiners are a bunch of crybabies; and if you DO cancel your account over something as silly as this, then it would be a GREAT service to the community for you to leave.

I am not a hologrinder in any way. Would I have done it had I gotten the chance, absolutely, as we all want to do that more in the game before it gets old. However I started playing just weeks before publish 9, and did not have the luxury of even giving this a shot. However since then I have mastered the professions that I wanted to, setup my bussiness, done the vette, POI's, blah blah blah. So I have been sitting around wondering, when is my chance to get something new, when can I take a stab at Jedi. Well Publish 10 was supposed to do just that. Then low and behold, not only the people that did all the work for 30+ professions can't get their Jedi, us that didn't even get that chance but have to do it the new way, don't get that chance either... No one knows when, no one knows if ever.
There seems to be a real lack of communication between Dev's, SOE and the Community of this game. I would suggest someone there figures out a to communicate or this is only going ot get worse. Less than 24 hours latter and 1 single thread is on page 43??? That is absolutely horrible when 95% of the messages are all negative.
Mst of us are mad at the simple fact that the Devs have been holding alot of information from us as well as posting iinformation OF FALSE HOPE making us think differently from what actually is going on. If I would have known that grinding will get sooner acceptence in the village I am sure that me as well as other people would have continued to grind abit more. Probably not so virgiously but grinding acouple of professions atleast INSTEAD OF COMPLETELY droping the grind considering the fact that most of us thought that grinders wouldn't be rewarded in such a way like they are now which make all of the non grinders wait for days or weeks or even weeks from the way it looks now! ITs just annoying! All this waiting is a conspiracy to get more money from us! hehe
You know, they have ALWAYS kept a tight lip regarding Jedi.
Has it even occured to you that they didn't even tell you that it was initially 5? If they didn't even tell you it was 5,what makes youthink they'd tell you it was 8?

,Learning about the people, who will wait till the last minute to whine they dont get a jedi. I cant seem to figure out why the half that cry about not being visited are running all over the planets trying to do all the POI's and Quests, if you are not interested in being jedi, seems like the old Fox and Grapes story, 'well if i cant reach them i didnt want them anyways. 'Now i know a lot of you are going to flame me for this, and if so then have at it, its all good, this is a game i bought it to be a Jedi ,and i learned Quicky that grinding and not Cybering in the game, or Getting married, the regular role playing that i know some of you enjoy,was the only way to get what i wanted, what i paid for. To those that started thegame to late, im sorry this game has been out for over a year, bad timing maybe, and maybe you still think it is, but i will continue to play this game until the servers no longer cease to run. This game is prob the Best online MMORPG that i have ever played and yes grant you there are problerms in this game , can anyone point out one that doesnt? Just 1? For The jedi i will say this, this has been named the Jedi revamp, and yeah they revamped it alright, the robes dont work, force regen is so slow its pathetic, and they didnt get a reroll for the things they changed due to all the PVP role players in the game. If you dont like Jedi being in the game, go play Star Trek, no jedi there, If you have no patience, Flame and Cuss till you get banned, it will still not change the fact that yes we all have to wait, even me.
People like you just don't get it do you? We non-grinders were told that there would be a new system, we were told that it would put an end to hologrinding, because in their own words hologrinding became detrimental to the game.
That's why we got expectations of becoming Jedi and didn't start hologrinding! Because we were told we wouldn't have to! Now suddenly it turns out that we should have been all along! It's not our bloody fault that we were lied to!
YOU WHERE NOT LIED TOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I hate that whenever something does not go the way that a poster thinks that it should go they clame THE DEVS LIED! when infact they ether just did not read many of the posts about this OR they have poor memories. The Devs where asked on MANY differant occations ether "will there be credit given for hologrinding under the new system" or "what will be the credit for Hologrinding" The answer to the frist one was given BEFOR pub 9 YES there will be credit given, and in the Pub 9 PATCH NOTES it said that if you unlock between Pub 9 and 10 under the old system YOU WILL HAVE A JEDI. They were also VERY clear that credit will be given to hologrinders (I mean there are WHOLE THREADS on what that credit should be, BTW what they gave us seemed to me to be the consences of thoughs threads) that did not unlock. Yes they did say that AFTER pub 10 there will be and end to Hologrinding (and there is getting XP in your choosen Prof is NOT a grind) but that was after Pub 10. Like I said they where VERY clear that Hologrinders WILL GET CREDIT and guess what they did ,so that means not that the devs lied but that they accually told the TRUTH and usually do as they know it at the time. FYI this website is consiterd advertizing and there is such a thing as Truth in Advertizing Laws (thats why the devs are so reluctant to set ANYTHING in stone until it accually goes live) if an offical did accully tell an Out and out lie and did it repeatedly as many on these boards clam then they would be getting there pants sued off. (specialy in California where the Truth in Advertizing Law are nearly Draconian)
