For me, it is less about the last minute gating and more about the fact that this system should be more stable by now. I have been paying to play a beta since beta. Not one more cent. And I won't risk Everquest II either although that was my original exit plan.

Ok, to answer a big question here: If you were glowy when you logged on yesterday, you will get a visit from the old man within 1-3 days. I just got visited on bria and I only did 5 professions, none of which i read from a holocron.

I have mastered 15 proffesions myself but never used a holocron i am glowy and have been waiting on this old man a.k.a santa now for 1 day and a half any idea on how much longer it will take?

I can't stand to spend money on something that I have no say over. What the crap is wrong with you SOE? I know you must like money but you can't tell me you are going to make more money from this. Looks to me by the feedback in just this thread you are going to lose a chunk of change. And THIS on top of all the money that you have lost from stupid, idiotic decisions that you have made in the past.

Please get something right soon. I can't believe that I have been playing this game for a year now.. I am starting to feel stupid for doing it.

Confirming old man.....

I logged into my game inside a player city, then I walked a little bit, then saw a white dot on the overhead map (ctrl+m) then it was an old man.

He talked to me and gave me a crystal then dissapeared. Aparently each person gets their own old man *shrug* I can post screenie of the crystal in my inv if you all need to see what it looks like and all.

Hope that helps, ill try to give info for what I can.

What I would like to know is if this glowy isnt the last stage. In the friday feature 2 weeks ago i think it was, it said we needed to meditate at a shrine? Now was this just for story purpose or when we are glowing do we have to do this to get visited?

Ok lets say im part of group 4 wich is 6 months away from rotateing in to the village(just useing a random time span) If i cancel my account or stop playing will i be able to restart my acount when the group 4 guys are seeing the old man will i still be apart of group4? or will i be out of the que/pushed back?

Well I have to say to the Dev and Thunderheart you folks really dropped the ball big time on this one. I have never in 13 months of gameplay seen any form explode like this. Hell, it wouldn't be that bad if it were positve feedback or neutral or even a mix of postive and negative. This, however, is probably 95% negative feedback. no I'm not even going to comment on which side of the fence I sit on in reguards to holo-grinding. The main problem that has exploded on these forms is the issue of holocron grinding. many believe there should be no reward for grinding aimlessly and others believe there should be a reward. Well what ever your opinion on the matter the simple fact is that ll of this could have been avoid if the DEVs and community relations simply stepped up took some fraggin accountablility for their actions.

This publish had all sorts of little secret twists that were only revealed to the player community on launch day. The fact that old man visits may be delayed as much as three days for those who qualify was no were to be found before today. The fact that some may have to wait weeks for their visits after they qualify was no where to be found. the fact that you drop the bombshell that jedi was in fact 8 professions instead of 5 is even worse. You openly lied to your player base. You have zero personal integrity and no honor. You knowlingly deceived players and created fasle impressions with the community. You have disgraced yourselves and Sony Online Entertainment. As the direct link from the community to the development this all falls to you Thunderheart. You were the one who should be held accountable for this. You created an uproar in the community like none ever seen before all becasue you lacked the fortitude tostand up say how things really were.

I'm not so upset over the publish not meeting expectations as I am over the fact that we the community were knowlingly mislead at every turn. This is the most disgraceful display I have ever seen in my time is SWG. PersonallyI think someone's head needs to be put on the block for this one. And old TH that person is likely you.

This game definalty shoudl have included the phrase "Caveat Emptor"on its box.
