Congrats for Intrepid's first visit by the old man. But one major problem here, check out this quote by the guy who was visited (it's not your fault, just wondering about the honesty of the Devs here):

Now this seems to contradict the whole plan of TH. What is going on here? Please, I would like to know cause many are gettting screwed over. He visited his birth city btw if that helps anyone, not sure if it will since everything that TH has said about the waiting list for the old man is all up in smoke.

Hope the rate of old man visits is increased or this could take a while. TC2 had a lot of people on it and the old man visits worked great (not enough of the people on TC2 when it started testing pub 10 did any good testing)

I'm so confused!!!
I did three holocrons and then went silent. I mastered 4 professions after that and got tired of grinding and just played. I am glowing and I feel the force in me soI knowI am qualified for a visit from the old man. SinceI only had a silent profession to do, does that mean I am in the first group andI will be getting a visit soon? Or do I have to wait a few weeks until the first group gets through?

Ok, i need some help in understanding TH's post. If I completed 4 holos for sure does that mean I have 1 remaining profession and automatically qualify when I glow? OR... does that mean I have 4 professions remaining and fall back into group 3? His group system setup only mentions up to 5 remaining professions but in the body of the post he states that originally it was 5 master boxes but that number had to be increased. To what, 8? Since 32 master boxes guarantee you unlocked the 8 professions... Can anyone clarify this for me? And forgive me if the answer lies somewhere in this post but I dont have the time or patience to poor over 71 pages. Thanks in advance.

ive master'd 10, 6 were before my first holo, my third holo was silent and i master'd 2 professions afterwards,
when 10 went live i was glowing, do i auto get a visit or am i in a group?

I doubt this post will get read since we're on page 71 now, but I thought I'd post anyway.
People are upset and keep posting for 2 reasons:
1. They're annoyed that this gating on who gets into the village wasn't announced till after the patch went live. Obviously the devs had planned to do this at least a day or 2 before the patch went live, but they didn't tell us till afterwords. Mostly folks are just blowing off steam about this. They'll get over it.
2. They want clarification on when the different groups will be getting into the village. TH's original post was very vague on this point and folks have interpreted it to mean anywhere from days to months. Folks are upset because they don't have a clue when they may be able to get into the village. A rough estimate would stop quite a lot of the complaining. One post from TH saying something like "We expect Old Man visits to be totally ungated and open to all groups within 1 week" would make everyone happy. Everyone can stand waiting, they just want a straight answer for once about how long it's going to be.
This ties back into my first point, based on the information that we were told we thought we were done waiting, only to discover that no, there was more waiting to do. And to make it worse, we don't understand how much longer it's going to be. It's like telling a kid on Christmas morning that he can't open his gifts until a number of other children have opened their's first, not knowing how many they have to wait behind or how long they will take.
So yeah, give us a rough estimate plz and 90% of the bitching will go away.
