Fixed problem with dodge; dodge no longer stops Pistoleer from running while in combat (Correspondent Issue)

But didn't one of the devs say that Pistoleer's specials would be fixed the Publish 8?!?!

  • Fixed a bug that prevented the Tusken Robe and Helmet from dropping. (Correspondent Issue)

  • Oh yeah!

Added Stimpack Dispenser Module to the DE skill tree: This skill allows a player with Pharmacology IV to load up a properly equipped droid with Stimpack A's. Once loaded, any player within the droid master's group may issue a /requestStimpack command to receive healing.

Can it be others stimpacks other than A's??

Hey, all you who are bashing the DE enhancements, remember...DE are one of the 2 professions in the game that have been terribly borked since Launch. Its their time in the "sun" now, so dont begrudge them that. They have waited a lot longer than most of the rest of you already.

Kudo's to the Devs on a great DE Publish! FInally, they have something to get a litle excited about. Finally Droids will begin to fill a role in the game as needed helpers and assistants. I say begin because they still have a long way to go, but this is a nice start.

You knew the vehicle bug would be fixed. Credtis are insanely easy to get in this game. The Pez-Dispenser will always be there for you whenever you are willing to cash in. Anyone can run long-distance delivery missions and make a profit after paying for shuttle fee's. Survey missions are so easy its pathetic. And most starter planet destroy missions are cake....and will be even easier when the slightly more powerful combat droids go Live.

Yes, PvP should be fixed. The 20% or so people who actually *do* PvP deserve some time. But lets not forget the majority of the players who couldn't care less about the GCW and getting into pi__ing contests over who can kill who. CM and Riflemen are still over powered and shoudl be balanced. It will happen in time. Let DE have thier time too.

I'm glad to see thatdirect travel to any planet and reduction of star port travel times didn't get implemented yet. I think those changes are better saved for the space expansion so that people will have some compelling reason to actually want to get their own spaceship when they do exist. The people that need to travel the most are the miners anyway and the new remote survey module will save them a lot of that travel time sincethey wont have to actually travel to a planet to see iftheir current crop has shifted yet or not.

what is this complete crock about the starports? what happened devs, wuss out? or did you just decide it would be great to dangle the carrot in front of our noses only to take it away. you people make me sick.

NO ONE CARES ABOUT SHUTTLEPORT WAITS.

We want starport waits down to 5 minutes, not shuttleports. Jebus, you'se your flipping Metrics and realize that people dont use shuttleports now with the advent of speeder bikes. people do MAYBE 1/4 of their longer distance travel via shuttleport. MAYBE. the rest is done by starport and bike. Get with the program.

Give us the 5 minute starport waits you promesied us.

Everything sounds great so far, I love all the new utility droid modules, however I have a few concerns.

For one, why werent there any new droid models added? I specifically remember before patch 7 came out that you guys swore up and down there would be new droid models that could be built in publish 8. This is really dissapointing to me since some new droid models would be great. Secondly, I'm concerned about the barker droids. Popular starports are already completely full of spam as it is, and I feel this problem will increase tenfold if people can just drop a little droid in the middle of coronet and have it spam for them all day long. This barker module needs to be implemented very carefully otherwise it will just annoy and tick off a lot of people.

One more thing, if you're going to take away the "shuttle trick" of storing your vehicle and regenerating it to full health, two things must be done. First you have to make sure that the repair bug is gone. I think I remember just the other day I repaired my vehicle at a garage (paid for it), stored the bike a few minutes later and when I generated it again it was back to the old broken condition it was before. The second thing you have to do is make disabled vehicles repairable. It is way too easy to have your vehicle disabled in just a couple hits from a player or a high level creature/NPC. I've had my bike disabled just driving through dathomir and having a nightsister spawn 2 feet from me and using force throw to disable my vehicle in one hit as I drove past. I'm really not going to be happy if I have to pay 30K every couple of days because my vehicle keeps getting disabled and I have to destroy it and buy anew one because I can't repair it. You should also consider making the vehicle paint jobs permanent. I don't even bother painting mine anymore because I know it'll be gone in a day or two and it's just a hassle repainting it all the time.

Other than that, it sounds good so far.

You know, this reminds me of a MUD I spent some time playing in. Every once in a while the Implementor would go like "Alright guys, what do you think needs be done with the game?" and people would swarm the forum posting and posting ideas and suggestions like mad, spending hours upon hours of good thought debating and discussing and then the time for the update came and guess what, the Implementor did whatever he wanted anyway since he had a "vision", well to hell with visions and everything.

I've spent two days debating with a lot of friends that play EQ or other MMORPGs about SWG and why I play and you know what the outcome was? The DEVs are rushing it, instead of taking your time to fix existing problems and null them out before moving forwards you just move forward anyway multiplying existing problems with each publish and slowly working the way into making the game nigh unplayable. I can say with certainty that after the Publish there will STILL be an armor hole and the vehicles will STILL be bugged after garage repair and half of the DE fixes will not be working anyway.

Every day there are dozens of people posting REAL problems in the forums, professions that need SERIOUS fixing and what happens? Absolutely nothing. Someone posted something about the carrot thrown to our faces, well hell yes. DEVs go out and spout some promises for the combat fix and yay everyone is giddy forgetting their troubles and crossing their fingers waiting for the much promised Combat Pass, and naturally someone comes up a few days before the patch and says, "Ugh you know guys, its too much work, we're postponing that to the Second Comming.", so people stop being giddy and remember their troubles again so the DEVs decide to toss another bone, a huge thread about reducing shuttle times, lo and behold the player base is happy since the insanely idiotic amount of time they waste waiting for shuttles will finally be reduced and as always someone comes up and says "Ugh guys you know we won't be doing it anyway we were just pulling your leg so you will lose focus from the real problems" (not actual quote but read between the f*cking lines).

I and every other person wasting their time in this game are paying our good money to get treated well and not having to feel like whores slapped around by the pimps everytime there's a god forsaken Publish. Some people really need to rethink their priorities before this game starts dying because if it does there's nothing short of an act of God that can ressurect it.

Having said my piece I'll shut up, expect my post to be moderated if not entirely deleted and stop hoping about anything nice.

I expected high priority PvP / combat balancing fixes to go into this patch. I'm surprised that for example nothing has been done with combat medics that everyone complain about.

I guess for anyone complaining about "what's the point of the harvesting droid"

It's just that... it does it for you. Droids do stuff no one wants to... grunt work. They aren't supposed to be the second coming of Christ. They just make your life a tiny bit easier. If you have no use for it.. hey guess what? Don't use it

Some people may say our harvesting skills are now useless but I hope the droids take into account the player’s skill mods when it surveys/harvest etc so Rangers won't become completely borked.
