Ok to summarize what has come out until now...

Lightsabers have the potential to change from kinetic damage - they are looking at it....

Crystals and Pearls are going to be changed but we don't know how yet (though I mean really - could a Krayt pearl come from from anything else but a Krayt dragon??)

But the armor question is still out there - will Jedi not be able to wear other armor other than the robes - and are those robes going to be comparable to composite 80-90%

Since there is no crafting involved.....

To me...

It will be hard, it will be slow... if i am a casual player, it will take tons of time and repay SWG server rights... but, dear Thunderheart...

THANK YOU!!!

Thx to the Devs, thx to the producers, thx for the ppl that thought this way. And i am saying thanks, cuz finally you show us a more close and "real" way to be a Jedi, to feel like in the movies, and to have the chance to say: "it was hard, i did many quests (no professions), but i am a proud jedi"...really, really, Thank you.

Sorry for the bad english... but one day i would become the "mexican Jedi", learning to others the way of the force, and spanish as well

No, but the design on how they will be dropping is happening as we speak, so I have no hints.

Can we infer from your response that they will still "drop", e.g.only be obtainable bylooting NPC corpses? Or might Jedi have more to look forward to than "whack the foozle, loot the foozle"?

Hello, after reading through the "jedi archives" i have a few assumptions that hopefully can be disolved with a few answers.

Itsounds like ...

-itsacomplicated system that is going to have a ton buggedfeature's.

-everyone will be running around with sabers when this a time when there are supposed to be NO JEDIS.

-your nerfing jedis since they cant wear armor. (no armor = lose)

-your nerfing the lightsabers so they'll be weaker preparing for the big combat revamp /coughnerfcough

- your gonna leave alot of jedi stuck in a spot where they cant level cause they have to "hunt" down other jedi to kill ?

- the light jedi are gonna be owned by the few powergamers that stick together and outvote everyone so no one else has a chance to be as powerful.

-to be jedi master you are forced into pvp leveling.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Just promise me this,

-that all the movesthat you get will work like their supposed to , none of this*stuff* where the move is supposed to give state effects or a knockdown when it never does so.

-that the moves using pure force (mindblast, lightning) will be worth using and have good animations instead of the weak*stuff*you have now.

- that healing others and self is better then using a poorly made wound/med pack A on someone else or self.

-that healing other animations wont lookso odd and will have some variety.

-that jedi will have good defense other then toughness and block (which only works on ranged opponents)

-that the quests are extremmely difficult, none of this gotowaypoint and one shot kill this npc and go back and repeat 20 times to pass the quest.

-that the lightsaber wont be a glowing baseball bat with kinetic damage.

that is all, thankyou for reading,i <3 you all, xoxo

ps. special thanks to garva for holdin it down.

"Once I've gained my second character slot, both character slots are immediately eligible to gain force sensitive skills and become Jedi?
No. The new character slot will be a standard character. You can choose to go through the Force Sensitive quests again to allow that character to advance their Force abilities, but the entire quest line will need to be repeated with all the normal restraints. "

Don't like that. Kinda harsh that all the time I've spent mastering professions on my main-char doesn't give credits to the new char I unlock... :/

My main concern is for crafters, I realize that I probably won't get any hints or answers for this because it's Publish 10, but I really want to become a Jedi without having to give up my DE skills. I love my little droids, and I'd love to become a Jedi, but if I have to fight anything to become one I don't think I'd be able to. If anyone has any thoughts on this, or if I missed a post that mentioned this already please feel free to comment. I feel that I've waited long enough for this "equal oportunity" to become a Jedi, I hope the wait is over soon.

This all sounds very good.

However, given the track record of the developers delivering on their promises, I remain...

TH

first, I'm thrilled to say that Jedi Archives Volume II is the best thing I've read concerning SWG since I first read the back of the retail box.... no emoticon can express my happiness... and I don't even have a Jedi or the FSCS unlocked o.O

secondly, I have a question (as usual ):

Now, upon completion of the Jedi Knight Trials, a Jedi will be flagged permanently Overt members of their faction; Light Jedi will be flagged Rebel faction and Dark Jedi will be flagged Imperial faction.

after the Jedi has been "flagged permanently" will he/she still be able to un-train the Jedi skills that force PVP?
in other words, I'm asking if by "permanently" doyou mean permanently or just for the duration for the time that that Jedi is at the level of Jedi-hood that forces PVP?

thanks very much

simply put, can a Jedi that has completed the Jedi Knight Trials ever go back to being a normal character?
what would happen if the Jedi surrendered the skills down to the point that he/she was below the skill level that requires PVP?

thanks
