Request for interface
Fan Fest Question: Will SWG ever expand beyond the game played within the game world? Examples given would be a SMS message to your phone if your house is eroding or your harvesters are on fire.

Classes and API
Don't you design an application, just design the interface, let us do the rest

If you provide us with classes and API to securely log in users and access different content of the game (like event schedule), we can help to make things cooler.

I think changes to the resources markets could serve to seriously redistribute the economy, and revitalize casual player interest in crafting and harvesting professions.


My suggestion: A bazaar-like terminal where players place buy and sell orders similar to RL commodities trading. Players could place buy orders for any amount of resources at a set price. The required credit amount would be placed in escrow pending completion or cancelation of the buy order. Players with resources to sell could also place Sell orders. Placing the desired resources in escrow until completion of the order. The terminal would then match buy and sell orders, completing buy orders with the lowest available sell orders first. For a given sell order (x# of resource at x Credits per unit), all buy orders meeting that price would split the available resource count (filling orders in 50 unit increments from highest buy order to lowest), and pay according to thier own 'buy' price. Players would only be allowed one buy or sell order on any given resource.


This would allow all players to contribute to the market, regardless of quantity needed or affordable. All players could be considered for filling orders, regardless of amounts, so novice scouts or surveyers could participate.


The terminal could also offer a 'real-time average' cost on any given resource based on the average of orders filled within a given time frame or transaction count.


Players receiving resources would have the option to either travel to the submitting regional terminus, or paying a 'transport' fee to have the resources delivered to thier current location.

I would imagine that this has been brought up before but:


What about "Group Duel" group leaders would have the option to select each other and 'group duel' then a countdown would ensue to give them time to run back to their groups before the battle started.


Maybe each group member would have to consent to the duel or just if they leave group they are no longer dueling??

And how long of "Live" have they had to learn all the required lessons about how combat works with over a million subscribers - i have just been reading reports back from the FF and in there a dev states how different things are from Test to Live - the same would be true from Beta to Live, Though I expect some beta testers to tell me they told the devs how to make the perfect game 4 months before it went live.


My answer to moaners about this game is the same for people who slate MS Windows as an OS .... "you do it better."

When you get a critical fail during crafting, it would be really cool if there were some kind of small explosion. This would add to the monotony of crafting.


It would also offer some proof that the guy you just gave your rare components to actually did critical fail, and isn't just ripping you off.

You know what would be nice..


Exploror missions like the corvette.


Instead of fighting you need to solve some random generated puzzles within an area. Like within the geonosian lab. But then without enemies. BUt with traps. And make the puzzles tough or the rewards low...

Would a possible solution to theBH profession be to remove any and all combat skills from that class, and make it more inline with, say Smuggler, where the skills are based on the ACT of bounty hunting? You could have Droids, Investigation, Areatrack, Persuasion, etc.


That way, you can master whatever weapon you feel like, then still get into the art and lifestyle of Bounty Hunting?

More Sound Effects

Some things I would like to see implemented in the game is more sounds. Like the swamps and jungles on the planets have the background sounds like the movies. Ambient background music that keeps playing, so it doesn't sound so dead when you are running around or exploring. The random music currently inis nice but the time in between is so quiet if your are not fighting anything. Also having sounds if you get near a npc, especially an alien npc that doesn't speak basic. Kinda like Episode IV, when Luke looks around the cantina in Mos Eisley, and each alien that the camera focused on had there own sound they made.I believe this would enchance the Star Wars experience of the game and shouldn't be a huge thing to implement.

Two simple requests. I would love for my character to not have my default language as basic. I'd also love for my titpe to save as none. It does not save what I change my title and language to when I log. It always reverts back to whatever I had it as.

Heres My list:



Cities: I would like to see all the decorative buildings have an interior, same with the houses there and all the halls. They should be rentable by the month, so players can rent the houses and apartments that are in them. Many a time i have seen places sitting empty for just taking up space. It would be nice. Very nice. Have vendors in there, stores, etc. This concept would be amazing.


Player Structures: I would love to see more variety such as with player placed cantinas, hospitals, theaters, tents all have a size class. Such as a Merchant could place a tent for a small, a medium sized store, a large store and so forth. Cantinas could be tiny watering holes to the current one you have now as a medium to the large ones you see in major cities. You get my drift. Further Houses Players should only have one house. Regardless of lots. Now to solve the dilema of storage make the furniture actually hold items of types, such as chest can hold any type, while armouirs hold clothing and armour and so forth. Make them when they are full only count as 1 item towards a houses storage limit and you would do fine. The major problem with lag on the servers is players who have 200 plus structures, houses, harvs etc. The problem of ghosting needs to be addressed. Simply put the lag on most servers is caused my the huge amount of buildings. Doing this would remove the need for multiple storage houses. PLayers can still use the rest of their lots for harvesters and a store and such but this would settle a great amount. Alos I would like to see a moduler system in place for their construction. Such as customizalble interiours and colors. So as we all dont have the same houses. Further stores could have an atmosphere to them, such asa weaposnmith would have a choice of an interiour for his store that would look like a weapons shop. Where are the kitchens? Why can we not heal bf in our houses. After all no place is more relaxing than your own home.


the following is a list i can expound on if you like but i will list it in point form.


1. Holsters

2. roads for player cities

3. a farmer class that can have pens to hold live stock for hide, meat, milk etc.or more lots to harvest minerals and such

4. npc guilds players can join and reap benefits from

5. rangers able to collect various types of trophies from their kills, such as a wall mountable head and horns and such

6.guildhalls changed a choice for an open roof or closed roof with more rooms upstairs

7.make containers from harvesters carried by load lifters and not in a player pack with a skiff or speeder truck to transport the items home.

8. more animations for droids actually repairing homes and such.

9. ability to plug in power droids to harvs

10. reverse contruction not only on ships but in all classes so smiths have a chance to upgrade items.

11. more races

12. more vehicels including a vehicle engineer class

13. no more ATST pets make them drivable

14. bazaar should have no limit to prices on auctions further camp instant sales to 10k

15. make healing and buffing only done in hospitals with appropriate bonuses.

16. bacta tanks

17. banners players can choose from for their guildhalls and have said displayed on the banner graphic already in place.

18.remove declared and covert status. Make it so if you are walking around wearing faction gear or equipment likestormtrooper armour your pretty much declaring you are an imperial and so forth. make same for tef's if you attack rebel \ imperial you get tef'd as per normal.

19. major cites have players that can be elected as mayor

20. make cliffs and stuff climable not run up and run down, further that objects should have mass when vehicles hit them causing damage, no more afk driving.

21. make all major dungeons, caves, etc like the corvette load into them, so this will kill loot camping and mugging.

22. a feature point system that will aloow players as they advance in a class to pick from a choice of ablities rahter than just getting body shot 2, makes it more customizable.

23. Add RIS as a normal craftable armour removing the ridiculous loot requirements for them. I have yet to see a full suit being worn

24. passenger vehicles

25. rooms that lock so someone say can enter your house but not say the back rooms

26.water based life, like sharks, fish, etc.

27.The ablility to camoflauge for commados and the like to lay ambushes even for opposed faction Players.

28. A New "field engineer" class that can allow a player to remove trees, rocks and others like slopes, level ground so they can make an area more suited for building.

29. Graphic the shuttles and ships so you can actually board and have a seat, even watch the flight would be cool.

30. more interaction with imperial oppresion and such, IMMERSE US!!!!!!

This post is mostly a gripe and I've almost quit twice...but keep comming back in hopes thats somthing would have been done aboutthese few itemsI wrote in this Postwould be fixed...but still nothing. So here is in hopes Somone in the Higher Up's is reading this and Taking notes. Sorry about my spelling


1.) People have told my friend and I one of the biggest things is that everyone should be able to attack everyone weather in a faction or being neutral when I said "well thats why they put in dueling" the response is usually "In Starwars do they ask if it is ok if he or she can duel them?" I had nothing to say... and they had a point. Now I know what you are going to say " The reason we did this is so that people will not attack the smaller guys that just started the game and this will prevent this from happening"....This is true however this limits the game we have found people still like the dueling aspect of the game but just that it is more of a one on one fight so noone can interfere... but most players that I've talked to would prefer the attacking everyone idea better.This is where you'd end up saying somthing to the effect of " Well what about the guys that constantly attack the smaller guys and are being harrassed by these other players." There is a way to counteract this problem letting neutral players to be like faction players allowing them to hire thugs to protect themselves but these would only be available to neutral charactors kinda like a benifit for being neutral. also hiring maybe a player Bounty Hunter or Mercenary could also be good idea and would definatly broaden then professions some.



2) Some have mentioned that adding another handgun should be added to the game so charactors can use two pistols just like in the movies Example: Jango Fett if this requires makeing the damage of handguns smaller this would be acceptable.


3) This was another big issue with alot of charactorsis the fact that there wasnt enough Armors added to the game and everyone looked like everyone else it was said another six armors added would give it some more flavor .


4.) Also I still maintain That every and all droids that are being use in gameplay both pets and not pets should be allowed to be bought and used by the player charactor ...if the moneys right that is. I mean this is Starwars and everyone and thing has it's price.


But My Biggest Beef is still with the Bounty Hunter ...NowI know there are alot of People out there who say Bounty hunters are too strong but thats bunk. This Profession is totally upsetting and is in need of a SERIOUS andI mean Serious revamp.

1) This is a Profession of Fear, Money, Recognition, and most of all Respect, both In and out of combat. This is a profession that should make anyone tremble... And make Jedi go "Hmmmmm Now I might have a problem" not " Ahhh it's just another Bounty Hunter." and when this statement comes from a common player this is very very disturbing.I mean did any of you guys watch the movies and or read anything about bounty hunters? Bounty Hunter 's should almost be a match to Master Jedi ... whenI say this I mean when the charactor has reached Master Bounty Hunter ...This is whereI hear Player Charactors saying NO FRIGGIN WAY! I again Disagree.. JangoFett took onMaster Jedi ..and whyI think he lost wascause, If you got trampled by a Huge animal likeit was shown in the moviethen attacked by a Master Jedi right after with noreal time togather your berrings you'd die too!Now I know Some are gonna say....But Jango was a mandalorian warrior he is an exception ... I'll give you that, however Boba Fett was never a mandalorian and at Bobas age do you really think he got alot of Mandalorian training?...probably not, and he had to make do with what he learned. And in saying this...Boba took on only the Strongest of allllllll Jedi which was Luke Skywalker,which made Master Windu... look like a Padawan!!And I still think he did pretty good.In shortit comes down to that Bounty Hunters in this game should never need to be in a group and should be the only charactor to actually do Hardgroup missions Solo!Does This Unbalance the gameplay....Heck Yes!! Just as it should. Just like Jedi should too. A bounty hunter should be able to take on a Jedi and have a real shot at beating him one on one.



2.)AnyPlayer Charactorwhose has been or currently are Bounty Hunters... is that this charactor definatly got the short end of the stick!! Also in my friend and I's humble opinion we too agree.Not because of the time to get to the Novice skill but infact that one is forced to be a Ranged Style Most Playersagree it should be very hard to be a bounty hunter infact they like the idea how hard it is to be one. However they disagree on the skills to be a bounty hunter and the skills when you are bounty hunter. When we've talked online to Players have said and asked " why do you need scout skills really? it has nothing to do with bounty hunting ." In response I said "well you probably need the trapping skill and hunting skill" they retorted with "hunting and trapping come on get real! those are skills you would use for maybe a ranger, not a ." and you know they are right again I myself saw no reason for Master Scout even though I could see How Master Brawler should have been added instead..I know the reason you put this there was for the time and boring parts of Master Scout to deture people that didnt wanna take the time to complete master scout to be a Bounty Hunter. More so I have found talking to other playersthat also Investigation takes to long,and therefore alot of players wont do bounty hunter sayingthat " Bounty Hunter shouldnt be this hard to get."ThisI disagree with seeing that it is a true bounty hunter skill. And will weed out the little wannabe Bounty Hunters. Remember The Path to isnt supposed to be easy.


3.)Well everyone likes their charactor different and is no exception if all are the same, by utilizing guns how are they different? by Armor alone? Even in Empire Strikes Back when Princess Leia was Boussh a according to the books and materials that I have read Boussh relied more on his pike rather than a gun. In the game there are other bounty hunters out there that could be fairly good at using a gun but could be a Master at using a pike,axe or sword. This should be the choice of the . and allowing him/her the oportunity to be the way they'd like to be. Then being stuck as a gun Bounty hunter that isnt original at all ...and I know thats not what your company was not striving for. Not being Orginal


4.) Last but not Least ...Bounty Hunters should not be using Lightening Cannon!!!!! A Bounty Hunter is supposed to be like a James Bond charactor a lot of cool gadgets to take on their opponents.A gadget for every and all circumstances and if you dont have one should be able to make one. Remember Jango and Bobas only real heavy weapon was the rocket on his Jet Pack. And For Gods Sake make Genades and Thermal Detinators worth using....In the Movies everyone crapped their pants when Boussh brought out the Thermal Detinator. and in the game your like ahhhhhh what amI gonna use that for?..... all I got to say about grenades and such is when your out of the blast range you May have a chance to surviveotherwise no matter how big orstrong your Charactor is BOOM your oatmeal ! With the exception to armored chars but if you are armored you should survive but with some serious problems like stunned for a really really long time.


This Game it supposed to reflect the starwars universe correct? With all these elements that my friend andI along with all the Many Fans whom love this universe and have been devoted enough to have put themselvesin this forum to be herd, we hopeto have changes made to the game. For the better of the game not to cause problems we only hope that you take heed to what we've been writing and hope that you hear what we the players point out to you.
