I disagree with the suggestions being made to fix the Wookies, which I agree are way too weak and vulnerable to attack.
Rather than allowing Wookies to wear armor, and thereby making us dress like everyone else, why not simply improve the race? Consider the comments about Chewie ripping off arms etc.... and during the rescue of Leia scene when Luke and Han were escorting Chewie to prison remember the bullets bouncing around him, he just waves them off like bothersome flies. Wookies should not be forced to look like overgrown ewoks! We should be naked, except for bandoleers or backpacks (both would be better). Give us better natural armor stats and greater power in UA types of combat. Dont make us just another armor dependant spice adicted species! This advantage would equalize us with armor wearers and preserve our unique race.

AND not to mention that the math clearly shows we would take MORE damage as AR1 than the way they are now, unless they removed our vulnerability to every type of damage. We would have to be AR1 and natural 60% resists across the board to be roughly equal, I believe. Nobody will go for that...

We are not looking for any special treatment. We do not want to be more than any other species - we just want to stop being less.

INSTEAD, give us armor. Wookiee-only schematics with equivalent durability and resists to the heaviest composite for the best stuff, with a bit higher encumbrance to make up for our HAM bonuses.

AND, stop hosing over! Make the looted schematic rewards wearable by ALL species. I can't even tell you how much not being able to wear a Med Crafter's Apron ticks me off...

THunderheart,

I posted this in the pikeman forums and in my opinion this could be something that would distinguish each class from each other.

TKM are not over powered it is the meditation tree that makes the class so incredible.

Since the TKM can perform doc & entertainer skills by removing all wounds (including mind), revive theirselves, and buff theirselves with power boost, I think other melee classes should have a similiar sort of specials for each class.

My propsoal is this for melee classes, I will use pikeman forexample,

1 special ability to guard, this would allow you to guard another subject for a certain amount of time

2 critical strike, a damaging strike at the cost of bf and wound damage

3 adamage or accuracy bonus for an extended time

4 a ability to buff theirselves to the scondary stats thus making specials cost less for the pikeman.

I think these specials should be narrowed down to three for each class. The catch is only if you have a pike equipped and it remains equipped will you still receive the bonuses of the special. Just as you are doing now for template dabblers with so people do not become uber.SO this will give each class a very unique feel. This will stop the dabblers. A lot of fighters are lvl 4 meditation just for the incredible bleed, disease, poison, and wound heal. Can you blame them? Also to prevent people from going barehanded after battles make the three skills only accesible by master of that profession. So if a swordsman could not get the benefits of meditation by giong up one tree would they l master TKm just for it?

I believe this could bring a great feel to the game., I just wish SWG would take time out of all the little eye candy in the game like ligths and so on and just focus on profession for a bit until the classes can get resolved.

Just my two cents.

Who says everything has to be equal? There should be pros and cons to the various species, otherwise diversity becomes meaningless. The problem, as I see it, is simply that Wookies can not currently compete with the other players in combat situations, which is opposed to the basic nature of the species. Make us true Wookies and that will suffice. I see no problem with our fur protecting us from acid, energy, etc. damage. As for what the other races think, who cares? They have their good points, we should have ours. We wont have the balance of humans, the regenerative powers of Trandos, etc. Each species is and should be different. My only problem with Wookiedom is that we cant take hits and dole out pain as we should be able to according to the basic storyline.

I also think that unlike any other species our language should not be commonly known. It is WAY too easy to learnthe variouslanguages in general, IMHO. After playing for 30 min. total I knew every language in the galaxy. Wookie language in particular should be rarely known. The lack of language skillsshould be one of the drawbacks to being a Wookie. Only those willing to pay (in skill points or something) should be able to understand us and interpret as needed for the majority. Who, besides Han, could understand Chewie? I think the melting pot approach to the races is making species diversity irrelevant just as the languages are completely irrelevant. Wookie armor would simply be another backward step in what I think the game should do and be,

What's up with the holo system? I wish the Devs would let us know!

TH, can we have a statement about Kinetic damage on sabers, which is the last type of damage they should be ?

Also on the Jedi front, why are Jedi totally reliant on either afk macroing on thugs on their mains, or buying from afk macroers to get Crystals, and on cookie cutter professions to get pearls, or payint 4-12 million to buy them ? Can someone please look into this ?

Thunderheart!

Where is Mandalorian ARMOR?! we where promised that it would be in the game. We will almost be reaching the anniversary of this game and still no MANDALORIAN ARMOR?! Please Thunderheart, this was one of my goals before this game came out. And I know there is mandalorian armor, I saw beta players running around with some pieces on! So when will you introduce it to the game?

Also could the you look at the spice/buff/food timer still showing up when you die.

The deathcount on Jedi is broken. Buffs are messed up still. Nightsister Force Crystals are dropping which people are buying for serious amounts of cash believing these are useable in Lightsaber construction, but they are not.

And, please put the Hermit and related spawns back in the game!

TH,

Could we get a fix on vehicle sounds? Vehicles are not supposed to make sound when idle, unless they're pod racers. Watch any SW movie with personal vehicles. Even the land speeder was quiet when completely still.

Noise pollution has become a real problem in populated cities where many vehicles are left unattended.

This is a good suggestion for changing the way TEFs affect structure entry permissions. I may not agree with it entirely, but I sure think it's a ton better than what we have right now. In fact, wasn't that "no entry when TEFed" change implemented between publishes, rather than as a well-known change? It sorta jumped us players like a "you puke" message in combat...

As for the hermit quests, we're all wondering about them. Please put them back in...and make them more common. The worst part, I heard, was having to search for them for weeks. Should have been called the badges of Patience instead...why not just make them a static quest, like Huff Darklighter's or Borvo's?

I have a bad feeling about this nerf
