i have afew questions if you dont mind taking the time to answer them..


1. are these surveys that are done.. are they the type that allow essay response or are they the fill in the blank aka "yes or no" or the old style fill in the bubble "on the scale of 1-5, 1 being dissatisfied and 5 being satisfied..." im not a marketing major or anything but if these style surveys were to be used... then every single player in the game would be dissatisfied with the fact there is no space flight and combat. and yes for myself i have been hoping for space since i first purchased this game and subscribed, who hasnt?


2. if i understand the quoted paragraph.. if reviews, exit polls and forumns are showing such negativity in regards to the becomming of a jedi... then why, since last fall, has the difficulty increased in unlocking this slot, and in my opinion the unlocking system, the whole time has not been friendly to part time gamers.


3. im not gonna try to insult by this but im sure its not exactly 99 out of 100 players at comic con have said they have been waiting for jtl. and of the actual numbers (no i dont expect you to come in and reply with "i took a clipboard and put tick marks as to yay or nay" that would be kind of crazy to do) how many of the actual people who stated this say "i want jtl over gcw revamp, combat balance, smuggler revamp, broken specials fixed, various i win exploits, etc etc.....

If I recall correctly, the original question involved smugglers, specifically, being upset over the combat balance coming after JTL. I personally don't know if we ever promised that the combat balance specifically would include a Smuggler Revamp, but I wasn't aware of that being part of the plan. We have talked many times about a desire to do a Smuggler Revamp. I was apologizing if any smugglers out there were upset because we confused the two. We dostill plana Smuggler Revamp. I don't have an ETA.






Where does Blackman get off thinking we as a single profession were upset about the Combat Revamp/JtL crap? We're upset that they're now blowing us off and sweeping us under the rug until they want to bring us out at their own discretion. The Smuggler community has been PROMISED, scheduled for, and bumped back countless times on a specifically stated, announced, and planned Revamp of the Smuggler profession along the lines of the Chef, Droid Engineer, Jedi, and to a small extent the Image Designer revamps.


I hope Smuggler_Caylin canuse allhis powers to get this cleared up by anyone before all of the Devs are laying the "I don't ever remember the Smugglers being promised a Revamp. We'll have to look into them sometime in the future and see what needs to be done, no ETA on that though" on us. Absolutely ridiculous!

Greaging and again i ask to ansver this question :

why Publish 10 didng left to Test Server at 27 july like it was planed

and why we not geting any info abaut when will it be there.

if u can plz try to ansver it or give some ETA if u got it or at least any ansver will do couse right now we got 0 info abaut whats going on with publish 10 development and release dates.

<at 10 july 1 of a devs posted thet Publish 10 will go TS at 27 july and if all right at 17 august its be in life but nothink hapend at 27>

We have 9 *designers* on Live, and 15 people capable of "coding" for us, which in this case includes the 9 designers.

Shug I have a question:


1. Why is new content (JTL,Mounts, Player Cites, etc,)always given priority over fixing existing content that has been in place since day 1 (Smuggler, Squad Leader, GCW, etc.)?


Why cant all new things be put on hold for a short time and 100% attention put on fixing what we have now?

Here's another gripe. I just bought that Black Mountain wookiee armor. Figured I'd give it a shot. Granted I was unbuffed but I nearly DIED fighting Chunkers outside Coronet (I think that was the place...). This of course is after NPCs are able to use special attacks, but crikey! Between the armor and my PSG my health bar went down quicker than Monica Lewinski in the Oval Office. I'm a 1/1/4/4 swordsman (along with a variety of other combat boxes in other proffs) so I'm not a newbie but damn I feel like I just fell off the turnip truck. This game is so dependent on buffs it's ridiculous. Armor is way out of hand (which brings up the point: wookiee armor was made in preparation for the "armor revamp". Is this also delayed until Hell freezes over?) and if Jedi don't complain about it, it doesn't get fixed (ie, the latest CM "nerf" with doctor poison/disease buffs. *Whimper, sniffle). I still don't understand how people that have to buff just to wear armor can continue to wear that armor when the buff runs out. I've still yet to get an answer on that question...

Not just content, what about all those useless armor/clothing/skill attachments that don't work or don't even apply to the skill they are supposed to enhance (2-handed evasion?), yet still drop like flies on dookie? I'm willing to give up 1 Jedi revamp publish for a publish that does nothing but FIX stuff in the game that's been broke since last year...

Good to see you back Shug. Hopefully we will see, or at least hear, a lot more of you from here on out.

I know yourself and the team are under immense pressure about the rebalance. Ultimately I think it will bring myself and many others back to the game. I never stopped playing, but I definately don't enjoy it like I used to. Looking forward to hearing concept ideas as they flourish, so keep us posted!

Also, as a huge SW fan, I am very much looking forward to a step towards better continuity. A lot of things in the game are very out of place, or conflict with the timeline. I hope those issues are taken into consideration down the road. The recent mentioning of Vader hunting down Jedi made me grin from ear to ear.

At Comic Con I'd guess that you were meeting a dozen hardcore SW fans who areplaying SWG mostly because it's Star Wars.


A better opinion of game mechanics would come from those who aremore hardcore gamers, I think. The gamer types are well represented in these forum discussions because we're fans of gaming and enjoy the opportunity to add input. If we seem insistent in our opinions, that's usually why I think.

Wow, so you were confused. Well friend, if you are so confused about the Smuggler Revamp and the Combat rebalance being the same thing, then maybe you should step down. In anycase, if a good portion of your DEVS (TH, Greemarine, JustG), etc) are talking about a smuggler revamp and a combat rebalance as a seperate thing, then how the hell do you get it messed up? You are a no talent assclown.

Just a friendly reminder, Riflemen still need a correspondent, I'd rather hope that they aren't left out in the cold when it comes time for this summit. I know other people here wouldn't mind it but I don't want rifles to get nerfed too badly.

Trying to be civil about it I just have a few observations.



1. SWG is a mmorpg, many mmorpg fans came to this game not because of the star wars name but also because it was a new mmorpg that promised alot.


2. JTL is NOT in essence a mmorpg, its more like Planetside with a FPS system and rpg elements in place.


3. A core system of SWG is combat, one which is boring to play after a length of time and frankly during the 'grind', many duplicate skills, tons of unused skills/specials, and barely any eye candy for many of them except for the meleers, which ironically is one of the most played professions on servers.


4. Combat Balance (not revamp) was promised back in december, weapons, creature balance, etc, WOOHOO an exciting time we were told to look forward too. Other than some creature pass, none of the other things even saw light of day.


5. Small minority play this game to become jedi, yet months of development are fixing this and making it AWESOME, yet the majority who just likes the combat has been ignored.



In brief you have a mmorpg game that has starwars in it. Starwars fans and action players will rejoice with JTL but the mmorpg community I think will migrate to EQ2, WoW, or whatever. You are going to bring new clientele in with JTL but most wont be mmorpg players or maybe the new breed of FPS/MMorpg types.


Plus you never once polled the playing community what they wanted first, you assumed. First you mention that we cant go by what the forum posters want as they are the silent vocal group, yet every change done down the road was because the vocal group whined,cried, and threatened to quit if so and so changes werent made and thus we have jedi before combat,space before combat, and people fighting the boredom of the game and basically hanging in there because of the community friends they made.


I wish you luck and hope that the next gen mmorpgs suck so that players will come back, but I played EQ and no matter how much it improved I have yet to step back in that game after a few yrs. I move on, wether there is alot like me or not I dont know, but EQ2 is trying to get my money back and maybe I will give it to them, afterall I am spending 60$ a month here, which is going to die soon as get friends to find someone in between we can all play.
