The Dev Cycle:

Promise something good.

Repromise something good.

Throw a small update into the game that has NOTHING to do with the thing promised.

Claim that you are working on the promise, but it is hard to implement.

Claim a release date.

Miss release date.

Ignore promise.

Deny that promise was ever made.

Put another "teaser update" into the game.

Release a schedule of what you plan to do.

Screw-over schedule.

Collect monthly money from angry customers demanding change.

Rinse, Repeat.

FULL ACK

but one thing you missed. REVAMPS

REVAMP A GOOD GAME INTO A GAME NOONE WANT AND WILL PLAY.

Thanks for the updates Tiggs, just two quick questions I'm sure you've seen it a million times already.

First:

In regards to starting the journey to jedi and then deciding to head back, is there a way to drop padawan so that you will stop appearing on the terminals? Meaning, you drop all the force skills you learned and want to be a normal player, but for the next 3 weeks you will be hunted by a lot of bounty hunters looking for easy kills.

I guess what I'm looking for specifically is clarification on what will make a jedi visible and if there's a way by dropping skills to remove, or reset your visibility once you exit the jedi path.

Second:

"Visibility is gained when drawing your lightsaber or using force powers for each NPC" when you say NPC in this case, do you mean ANY npc? meaning meatlump stooges, pirates and other NPC's you run into out in the wild? or doyou mean imperial and rebel faction NPC's only?

i think the devs are trying to clean items outta the game , if u put 150 chests in ur house and filled em to the max ur house will hold 1000+ items. ( guessing dont know the max storage # ) The chests etc im guessing are a matter of looks , it gets ridda all the backpacks hanging around and replaces it with something that looks a heck of alot better

......i am however p-o'ed about phase 2 , i went to bed early for it all excited like it was my first day of school lol. As for the rest soon as i get my last 2 phases done in 4 monthes ( seeing the push back time frame ) ill rant then ..to be continued .

  • First off, nice patch notes, I am excited to play this afternoon and check out furninture and will likely do BH stuff.

But I have a question regarding the specifics of above, b/c as we all know, the source of visability has been a mystery for the most part.

So here goes. What is "within range" and define non alligned. Does non alligned mean you are reb and the are not rebel. Or does it mean anyone without faction or nuetral

Why should I be punishedby having millions of credits worth of inventory deleted if my vendors have a slow month? Why should I be forced to use the GOD AWFUL interface to pull and re-place an item just so my stuff doesnt get deleted?!?!?!

Go ahead and delete my vendors, and you'll see 3 accounts getcancelled.

    ...the dev crackdown continues...

A slow month? If you have millions in inventory up for a month and not one single person buys anything, you seriously are doing something wrong. And even if you are doing something wrong, all you have to do is put a new item up for sale. This is good because now you can safely have other people put vendors in your shop, and if they disappear for a month, the vendor no longer takes up space (and heaven forbid - barks).

    Nice fix devs!

If I am paying the upkeep on my vendor and paying my monthly fee, why should I be penalized for keeping my prices at the level I want them. I don't sell a ton of weapons, but I sell enough to get by. I don't advertise very often because I do not have time to remake new weapons all the time, but if it is listed in my sign it is on my vendor. Why is it that you are forcingsmiths to put up a couple of 1 credit items a month just to keep our vendors?

#1 Customer Service Tickets are broken. I cannot make a customer service ticket at all.

#2 I'm trying to do the Rebel Theme Park and every time I try and help Deasie A'Fresel, she starts shooting at me and does not allow me to converse with her. I've tried /conv but it does not work far enough away, and she's attacking me well before I get within range of it working.

biwan: i must admit i think that it is completely pathetic that the game has just come down to this point. no one wanted to play jedi vs. bh wars!! i have been on since launch and will finally say this.. you devs have your head up your asses.... no really it is time someone said it calmly. im not going to scream or whine theres enough of that. but honestly, i mean this whole new bh system is going to get alot of canceled accounts.

now i understand jedi is suppposed to be hard.. i play mine and (knock on wood) havent been hunted yet. but i dont like the fact that if we are in town waiting in the mile long buff line and a bh shows up..not myself because i still have tk master ....other jedi are foces to used their saber and powers to deffend themselves....

heres my problem with that: saber cuts on 100 people around...you go on the term for all those that see..now not for just once but for eachvisability and for 3 weeks at time... you might as well take 2 months off from playing your jedi. my point why would anyone pay you money for this?

and i used to be a master bh i loved the proff. i hunted jedi.. i killed my fair share i didnt camp them and always showed them respect when i did my job. this new breed of bh has no honor or respect for the work it took a player to get to jedi. do i think they have the right to hunt jedi? yes.

but i dont think it is fair to jedi that they are now ranked as thier payout will clearly show. and being a mster bh for a long time like i was..i would have accepted and think now maybe its time that the bounty hunter is penalized as well for failing a mission. i mean a hit in the wallet isnt jack crap haha.. now lose of investigation xp...that would infact equal the playing field.

again im not picking on anyone....just the total lack of the big picture these so called devs should have seen. i love star wars... the game is beautiful..for the most part the other players are cool...and i know ill get the "cancel then if you feel that way" and believe me i might i didnt become a jedi not to play it...and i dont pay to grind out my second slot noob toon when ive done that before. so well see what the future holds...jtl is the destroyer or salvation for this game. wish good luck to all jedi and bounty hunter!! were gonna need it with the sad team that is working on this game.

I think the Unused Vendors change is unfair, and given the changes for empty vendors, not needed.
Items move to the stock room if they don't sell. With the changes for empty vendors, this vendor will eventually empty, and if left that way, will be deleted.

And, while I'm at it, I think the change for Empty Vendors is unfair too:

I think that removing empty vendors from the planet map is a great idea... nothing worse that travelling to a vendor that you found on the planet map to find the vendor empty.

However, so long as I put credits in my vendor, and maintain my profession to the point where I can keep that vendor, there is no reason why the game should delete them... empty/unused/otherwise... and certainly not if I have items in storage or offers. Thats just plain wrong.

    Tiggs -

14 days for an empty vendor is ok, but 14 days of an unused vendor does not allow for a merchant to actively play around with the economy of the game.

With our increased number of vendors many of us are branching out. We're dropping vendors in new places and puttin up merchandise. We need to test the new market and find what sells there at what price point. We simply need at least 2 weeks to just do that. We need time to learn "ok product X doesnt sell well here... I need to adjust the price and see how it goes for a few weeks" or "ok product x doesnt sell at all here...I'll put up some product B and see how that goes for a couple weeks."

Again, 14 days for an empty vendor is ok. But we really should have 4 weeks for a vendor that has merchandise before it moves to the "flagged as unused" state. Nothin being purchased does note equal unused ... there may be a Merchant actively watching it's activity or lack there of and guaging a market ....playing the game ... trying to make a business turn around. Let us do that.

    QFE

Not to mention, some of us sometimes take vacations, travel etc ... 2 weeks for a vendor with items on it is not enough.

It needs to be more like 4, and THEN it enters the 2 week "flagged as unused" danger zone.

I agree that if a vendor is paid its active. Period. Otherwise remove vendor maintenance.

Secondly, Give merchants the ability to give others admin over a vendor. I cannot nor do I wish to use my combat characters skill points to have an ingame vendor. Wouldn't it be nice if I could use 1 of the 12 a merchant gets to maintain my items. Wouldn't it be nice if they kept this retarded rule on usage a friend could keep your vendors working while u handled a rl crisis.

Finally, whoever cried that a BH nerf would be needed obviously never played a bounty hunter. Moving hunting jedi to master bounty hunter would elimanate a melee BH. BH is the most useless profession in the game. These fixes to there tef and payout are already a slap in the face. 50K for novice jedi? Are you kidding me? Risk vs. Reward. All risk + no reward = no fun for the bounty hunter. I was a Master Bounty Hunter. I grinded that horrid profession. This does not even come close to the cost of hunting a single player mark. Water, houses, logging other tactics make it useless not to mention off setting the costs of buffs, droids, travel, decay, armor, weapons, and time. Bounty hunters cannot hunt anyone with 80% block. Our weapons are useless vs higher lvl jedis. We have to have melee to even hit a jedi. I say we but I dropped BH and am now a simple stacker. These are not fixes for BH in any way shape or form. TEF resolves nothing because you still have made it worthless to hunt a jedi. Lets see do 2 Janta/Mokk missions OR try and hunt down a jedi? hrm.... Oh but a knight pays the 150k we use to get hunting weak jedi. Anyone developing these changes to the game try killing a player using a knight? Good luck actually getting a deathblow. Explain to us how these payouts make sense in the economy? A jedi should pay 1 million credits and the penalty for being killed by a BH as a Jedi should be severe. Why? Cause that was how this game was suppose to be. If you jedi don't like it tough cookies. Its suppose to be that way.

BRING BACK PERMANENT DEATH FOR JEDI!
