When does the respecing period end for us crafters?

Three weeks from the time you first logged in after the CU was published.

Any chance we can get a command (e.g. /respecTime ) that says how much time is left. For my main, I know how much timeI have left (I logged in as soon as the CU was ready). However, for my other accounts, I'm not quite sure.

One other note: if you dropped crafter or entertainer skills to try combat skills, you should be able to respec back and forth. The only thing you need to keep in mind is that Novice, Standard and Elite skills points can only be spent on skills in equivalent categories (novice for novice, standard for standard and elite for elite).

This is not entirely true, TH. You can use elite for standard and novice, and you can use standard for novice, but once you do this those elite or standard points you spend are permanently downgraded. They system works uphill down, but not downhill up.

I'm going to defer to your post here. I did my own respec early on and this feature wasn't available. I know they made changes after I didmy own respec but I don't have any first-hand experience with it.

TH, this is WRONG.

Novice for Novice is true. But if you have 2 standard points they equate to 1 elite point. The reverse is also true as 2 elite points are equal to 1 standard point.

I have done this many times and encouraged my guild to do the same. This allowed them to rapidly advance elite professions.

Close

2 standard points= 1 elite point

and

1 elite point equates to 2 standard points (not 2 elite points equate to 1 standard point)

if what TH said is what is good it doesn't matter when you logged in on any toons. It's 3 weeks after CU WAS PUBLISHED...

Too manyversionscirculating about what the respec period is we need to be cleared out.

i may sound sceptic but when you have 3 different versions in the same 24-48 hour period it is confusing !

I can verify this to be true as I respecced some medic skills into swordsman skills.

Eaxctly how it works as of last night:
I have 10 elite points. I can buy boxes of elite skills up to 10 points, or standard skills up to 20 (or novice skills up to 20, but that would not be possible as there are not 20 novice boxes and they all cost 1 point.)
I have 20 standard points. I can do the same thing but backwards, buying 10 elite boxes.

I have 6 novice points. I must be a happy novice because I can't buy anything else, they don't convert.

One more trick you can pull:
I am two boxes shy of master Pistoleer, completing my respec. Since it 'saves' respec points, I can go grind up a bunch o pistol and combat xp, drop the last two trees during respec, train the bottom boxes, then 12 hours later spec myself into master pistoleer with a 5 finger smuggler special discount.

There's yet another dirty lowdown trick available now, but I'll pass on mentioning it... it's tooo easy. Though TH I think I'll PM you it. Borderline Exploit.

Not sure where to post this so posting in several places to make sure it's seen by developers.

Healing professions need to be fixed.

It is unfair that healers are not getting xp for healing players who need it outside combat. For example, pilots get wounds from flying in space as well as when they die. So they go to a med center hoping to be healed....gee, no healers because they only get xp in combat so why be in a med center?... This combat upgrade has definately been prejeduced against players who enjoyed playing the game for healing and crafting and *gasp* not for fighting all the time. It is time to bring balance back to the game and allow players who like on line gaming but are not kill freaks, to be able to enjoy the game and also make progress in their leveling. I hope SOE dev's mean what they say about listening to our concerns and making fixes to make the game enjoyable for all star wars fans, not just fighters out there. (sorry for spelling, spell check not working)

My idea for helping out the wounded-and-hanging-around-town situation is to give *normal* wound healing to entertainers, let them sing you back to health. I've seen enough musicals to know that the proper song can cure anything.

hmmm SWG, the musical...

suffice it to say, it is not working very smoothly, and the functional parameters are not defined for the users that i have been able to tell. the info in the holocron is fully outdated. customer service is either way behind, or ignoring this, as multiple threads inquiring about assistance with respec issues are open. this needs some serious attention, please!

  • The Clone Relic quest for the Clone Trooper armor will now give out the Hologram X-wing reward correctly when you do the Rebel path.

What does this mean for those of us that have already completed it? I didn't see any x-wing.
