Thread: Version 0.122312 May 10, 2005 Discussion Thread
I have been using a Trandoshan Suppressor Pistol (120 electrecity elemental damage) in PvE and, so far, I haven't seen any mention of elemental damage in the combat log.
Can we get more information on how elemental damage works? Is it even enabled at this time?
Thanks.

When does the respecing period end for us crafters?
Three weeks from the time you first logged in after the CU was published.

In Tiggs' post about the non-combatant respec..she states that the total respec period is 3 weeks from first log in. My understanding is it was 2 weeks.
Was it extended another week to allow "overlapping" so a crafter who logged in day 1 has a week to play with his/her template?
If so does this apply to everyone, or just crafters?
The total respec duration is three weeks per player, regardless of what types of skills you are changing.
One other note: if you dropped crafter or entertainer skills to try combat skills, you should be able to respec back and forth. The only thing you need to keep in mind is that Novice, Standard and Elite skills points can only be spent on skills in equivalent categories (novice for novice, standard for standard and elite for elite).
Actually TH, you are mistaken here. Standard points can be used for elite at the rate of two standard points for one elite point, and elite points can be used for standard at a rate of 1/2 elite point for one standard point. LOL, you should know this!
Unless servers are acting differently, Dustus is also incorrect. The standard points can be used for elite skills at the rate of 2 standard points to one elite point. The reverse is also true. You can use elite points for standard skills at the rate of 1/2 elite point to one standard point. I will admit, the interface is anything but clear (confusing).

This is not entirely true, TH. You can use elite for standard and novice, and you can use standard for novice, but once you do this those elite or standard points you spend are permanently downgraded. They system works uphill down, but not downhill up.

I'm going to defer to your post here. I did my own respec early on and this feature wasn't available. I know they made changes after I didmy own respec but I don't have any first-hand experience with it.
Posted by Tiggs with an update as late as 5/10/05.
"With today's update non-combat professions are now eligible for character respec.
As a reminder, the respec period is 3 weeks from the first time you respec."

Iposted from TIGGS original announcement on the crafters/entertainers being able to respec. So, which is it??? Three weeks from first log in following CU, or is it three weeks from first respec?? Please try to communicate amongst yourselves and give us an accurate answer. Thanks!! And btw, is the system going to give you one final opportunity to respec, just in case we miss it by one day or one hour or one minute?? Would hate to get stuck with an undesired template because of an apparently unknown deadline passing. Thanks again!
Hello TH and Dev's... I have an Issue with the DC15 Carbine that's handed out for Boba's Quest. Is this carbine supposed to have a range of 0-35m? If so, why is it the only carbine with out the extra 15m? Can you please confirm this or rectify this issue.
Thanks again,
RedSpawn.

Also, given that I'm on Chimaera (which had multiple rollbacks), and assuming that it's from the first login post-CU... will it be from my first first login, my second first login, or my third first login?
(This is a genuine question by the way, I'm not trolling.)
