I would like to see radar not showing reds, or if there is no over way, removed completly.
Fights would be alot more interesting. I want some tactics, instead of full auto1, fire kd, change to pistol, eyeshot till death.

How about trying something new...
LIKE FIXING OLD BUGS!
Harvesters not animating
Skill-tapes with multiple skills on them not stacking properly
etc
etc
Sheesh.
Bigideas:
Battlefields
-I think that the problem with battlefields is that theywere no different than PVP or simple PVE battles, and therefore not desireable at all. So I think that battlefields should take on a completely different play style. Like in the upcoming expansion where you control every shot, battlefields should be "twitch based", where skill is actually a factor.
-You could move up the imperial or rebel ranks depending on your performance in battle. When you step into a battlefield, it would be like stepping into an fps game. When you zoom into first person view, you will see your gun. Brawlers could have a style similar to Jedi Knight 2. This would improve the amount of immersion dramatically.
Sound
-My very first thought when playing this game for the first time back in June, was "Is my sound working?". Almost a year later, it's no different. You get a few tracks from the prequels looped over and over and over, and then a handful of sounds and squacks. SWG needs much much more music namely from the later movies.
-Why not have the characters (NPC and human) say something? When I type "/wave" your character waves.. big deal. It would be a whole lot cooler to actually hear your character say "hi" or something.. anything. Everyone loves the Wookiee voice, but yet its barely in the game.
-Voice over IP actually coming from your character as if it is actually talking. My friends and I use a ventrilo server for this purpose. This would create great role playing opportunities (for people who roleplay) and save our fingers from typing.
Physics
-As far as I'm concerned, aside from vehicles, there are none. I remember after buying the game, my friend and I wanted to jump off the waterfall in Theed. We ran at it, "jumped", and.. nothing. In my opinion, Gravity is one of the most important factors of any game fun-wise. I'm not asking for FarCry's physics, but a little gravity would be great, like when you get smacked by a Rancor, you actually fall back a little, or better yet, add "rag doll-physics". When a character gets knocked out, or you kill a creature, you see his lifeless body fall to the ground. Now THAT would be immersive. The game engine probably couldnt handle this, but it's something to think about.
Droids
-There are too few to choose from, and they are way too stupid. You added a few from the movies and thats great, but why not create brand new models? You could have a "design a droid" art contest in the forums, where the winning designs would be implimented into the game.
-Owners of droids should be able to control them remotely. ie you take the role of the droid, while "you" stand in a stationary position somewhere.
-One of the new races shipping with the expansion should be DROID! Having droids as a playable race would be infinately cool. They would be advanced in combat, but lack in armor selection, and obviously would not be able to wear clothes. Instead, there could be special installations you could build or purchase to act as armor, etc. If droids were a playable race, suddenly, it would feel a whole lot like Star Wars. There would be droids everywhere, like in the movies.
Small ideas:
-I hate starport spammers. I think everyone does, and I'm afraid that the "barker droids" probably will only worsen the problem, butI do think they are necessary, because they point out some pretty good vendors a lot of the time, so why notgive them the ability to send out somerealspam through the games e-mail system? This would not only allow merchants to advertise their stores to a much wider audience, but (hopefully) would finally eliminate the barrage of annoying chat bubbles at every starport.
-Where's all the "digiteers"? Maybe I misread it somewhere, but weren't there supposed to be people actually playing the part of Boba Fett, Darth Vadar, etc? I don't know what happened, but I thinkdigiteers need to be implimented into the game somehow. Maybe you can open it up to a select few players? I was looking forward to actually "talking" to Boba Fett, instead, what we got was a statue to take a screenshot with.
-The population of SWG is slimming. None of the servers are even close to "FULL" any more. So, closing down a few less populated servers and allowing players to upload their characters to new servers would be to the benefit of everyone. It would boost the economy, and populate all the cities more accurately to the movies.
-Grouping should be similar to FFXI, where you can search the entire area forgroups that are currently looking for members. Once you find a group, a message could be sent to the party leader, automatically asking for an invite. I think that this would put an end to all the "LFG" spams.
I have a small request...would it be possible to only have the "HELPER" tag become available after a player has logged a certain amount of game-time hours?
I think the HELPER idea is sound, but it doesn't appear to have any criteria, so people are not making use of it, either as a HELPER or as a new person looking for assistance.
Ok here something small that can be changed...maybe.
When you /waypoint and have something targeted it waypoints the target. Why doesn't it name the waypoint after the target?
Instead of blocking an account for a few days.....these people should sit in a prison type building, and have to work off their terms. This system was in another game I played, and it worked fairly well as a deterrant. I'll explain.....
In this building no type of chat works for the criminals, but other players can enter the building and make fun of them. (I don't mean constantly harass, just pass through long enough to make the person feel bad about what they did). The criminal gets random pop-up messages that they have to type out in order to pass their sentances. 50 popups per jail term. If one of the pop-ups they do contains a typo, they are forced to restart their term. It used embarrassment as a way to deter people from being anti-social. They also got a bad mark on their character so everyone would know what they did...so they could avoid dealing with the person. (There was a system similar to badges on this game....so I guess it would come in the form a badge...in bright red text.)
Terms were something like this.
Profanity- 2 terms (there was no cursing filter on that game....all profanity was against the rules)
Murder (acts of greifing, where the player purposefully caused the person's death) 3 terms
Theft (Basically scamming) 5 terms
There were others.....but I think everyone gets the picture. After like 10 terms total the account was taken away.
