Thread: The Path of the Jedi: Reckoning of Effort
will not be listened to. SOE is a machine and WE feed it, the only way to make these people
realise what they have done is to cancel your accounts.
CANCEL if you feel let down, CANCEL if your angry at paying your monthly fees for something
your not enjoying.
Dont delete not yet a cancel button is easily turned into a re-activation button if SOE step
up and have the Publish altered. If not the two of my accounts that I CANCELLED 2 hours ago will stay
that way. Freedom of choice when it comes to games is a wonderful thing, you want a saber....
theres LOADS of saber games, you want action...bring on Star Wars Battlefront in 3 weeks time.
You want Role Play online...say hello to WOW...light hearted fun comes in with City Of Heroes..
Console and PC gaming is awash with quality titles and the Christmas period is creeping up, so as
we as gamers know this means more and more choice.
Im not going to moan, as some MAY like this system, I just cancelled, thank you SOE and devs for the
10 months I enjoyed, but I can only hate you for the way you took a great game.
Farewell
2 x Accounts CANCELLED.
I am surprised again that you and the rest of the dev still have not caught on.
Please explain why in in the world you, the other devs,
or SOE didn't have the wherewithall to plan for the worst.
The whole idea of a player even wanting to have a Jedi seems to have been seriously under estimated.
And again this fine example of thinking plays itself out in the present theater of expectations.
I have seen this very same events take place in other mmorpg, and it has led to their demise.
I myself was on my way to unlocking and the rules get changed mid stream, fine.
But as I was working my way to getting in the door, I find under the new system I am not as close as I was,
I might actually be farther away.
To me this equates to 2 things.
1. You (SOE or whomever) didn't plan for the worst and hope for the best
2. You didn't make the stick the carrot was tied to any shorter, you just added a bigger carrot!
With all your talk about how much this project means to you, I ask you to do one simple thing.
Put yourself in our shoes
and
Think

Since there is a large wave of players that will be going through the system, we are going to be monitoring traffic daily as players start and finish the Force Sensitive quests. When enough people have completed their path, we will open it up the village to the next group. Groups 1 – 4 will qualify for a visit when the village traffic has died down. Of course, if you qualify for the visit under the new system, you will automatically be granted a visit from the old man.
There were 4 people in the Village last night on Kettemoor. This virtual valve seemsexcessively tight.
Could you confirm that they had visitations from the old man, or were they Jedi?
They were ALL jedi. There was a person outside the village who had unlocked after pub9, and he had been waiting all day for a visit from the old guy. He was glowy.

Qualifying for a visit from the old man should be the least of anyone's concerns. All you need are certain POI badges, 5 content badges (corvette, warren, them parks..) and 1 profession master badge. People who haven't done the above haven't done a whole lot of the content in the game. Unless of course the character is a crafter, but even then there's nothing stopping someone from being a weaponsmith/rifelman or something like that.
The big question is: IS THAT THE QUALIFICATION?
And if it is, how much of a qualification is it? Who gets in first? Are the hologrinders preferred no matter what? Nobody will clarfiy this! All we can do is make best guesses and hope that the old man isn't broken!

I don't get it.. I unlocked with 29 proffesions done last month. So I understand the old man will come automaticly? I've been wandering around correlia for an hour and a half, and wandered dath for 3 hours yesterday. If its automatic where is he? Has anyone been visted by him on Starsider?
It doesn't matter if you unlocked. YOU MUST BE GLOWY TOO (if your /che does not return "You feel an inner glow. The force is with you", then you will not get a visit even if you unlocked. my speculation only... with any luck you'll get an official answer from someone here. There are 892394239849823489239489324 people asking the same damn question.

What is the point of going to a new system when it is based on the old system. I have been playing this game since day 1 and this new jedi system is what was promised in the first place. Hologrinding ruined the game. I am personally sick of the dev's serving the vocal majority whichare just a bunch of whiners. There are a large portion of players that never post here and are never heard. The fact is this game wasnt ready for release and we have been all paying for beta 4. The devs panic at every turn and seem to only listen to those that cry the most. What about those of us who role play? This is a role playing game but now its filled with a bunch of L33t retards that wouldnt know how to RP if there life depended on it. Nice...
Enlighten me please, Makare, a member of vocal minority.
1) New system is not based on the old system. The old system is completely whipped out. What they are doing now is "compensating" the ones who followed the old system. They are not getting the compensation for doing random things, but for participating the old system which made by the DEV. And your thought of not crediting the ones who participated the old system is scary. I think the only way to make you feel the pain of hologrinder is to strip your fs skill boxes and xp away when you are one box away from getting Jedi.
2) Hologrinding ruined the game. Which part of the game? Please don't make your claim without supporting examples.
3) Serving vocal majority is how the world works like now. If you don't speak up, no one knows what you want. It's like voting for president. If you forfeit your vote, don't whine that the one you don't like get elected by the majority who voted. So if you thinkthe vocal majority hijacking the game, you should stop and see if you and silent ones pick up the responsibilities to speak up...so that we all hear the voice ofmajority. Vocal majority is the majority. The number of individual thread is the "evidence."
Can you count the votes from the ones who didn't vote but have the right to vote?
