Not to split hairs, but World War II took six years. It began in 1939, ended in 1945. The United States didn't enter the war until 1941, but our involvement hardly constitutes the "entirety" of the war.
Still, you have a very good point - four years is plenty of time to complete things which are far more difficult and importnat than patching a game.

good god people.he didnt say that the publishes wernt going to come,he just said they have a set of prioritys that they have and feel that in the end will work out for the best.BE PATIENT dear god people they will come just wait for them then you can find some new crap to whine and complain about.and please exuse my spelling i cant spell to save my life.
Yes he didn't say the publishes weren't going to come, but the devs still lied to us about when the combat revamp was going to be live.
Precisely. They're not about to let Q stand there and stick his neck out, so they have TH do it. Sad. Very sad indeed.

I just got to thinking, Q is moving on to another project (presumaby EQ2 or EQ3?) and TH steps in right as they decide to delay the promises yet again...
Q was here for all the delays, TH was here but basically had his hands tied.
Q shaped a lot of the decisions that have been made that have hosed us up to this point. TH steps in and bats clean-up...
Does anyone else smell "sacrificial lamb"?
What makes you think having to make this post and stand behind it,did not have anything to do with Q leaving... They must have known for weeks, if not months, that this situation was coming.
*JtL preorder cancelled, SWG soon to follow*

Try waiting 10 months for pistoleer to get fixed, then waiting for CH to get "re-balanced" for 7 months, then there's smuggler, pikeman, etc etc etc.
Manyof our questions (though recognized as good, important, and/or needed) got this answer;
--Wait, for the combat rebalance.
Since this game is pretty much combat-related, or combat-support-related. Don't you think this is pretty damn important?
How is it that we weren't patient?

Alot of us have been patient for over a year....
- with promised fixes (Combat Balancing in General, Galactic Civil War)
- fixes that come through, that get nerfed (Commando Flamethrower not working, fixed, then the damage nerfed)
- parts of fixes that wind up halfway done, and end up as nerfs (Commando Melee Midigation getting changed to Ranged Midigation but the 2.5 multipler on melee damage still remaining *supposedly part of the Combat Balancing*)
And these are only quick examples, off the top of my head, from one profession, I play and like alot! I know everyone that's been waiting for Combat Balancing, Galatic Civil War, Profession Revamps, or has a favoritehorse to beatmore than likely has a dozen things to add.
