The root of the problem is Dev-devised "groups" that you place players in. Obviously if you didn't grind and have been "playing the game" like they want you to, you are less of a priority.

Anyone know if the devs are going to give anything for people who have played for over 6 months but didn't grind (people who remember the devs saying they were going to make a new system that didn't use proffesion grinding so didn't).
Yea they changed it but thats no excuse, if u wanted jedi you would have grinded out profs. They told u they were changing it but nowhere did they say "go ahead sit around and wait, well give those of you who want it what you want" If you wanted jedi or credit you would have grinded In no way should u get any credit whatsoever when some people grinded very hard to get little or no credit in this new confusing system.

I need to vent, not to the devs but to some of the posters here.
1. Just because it says New Member does NOT mean new player. Guess I just don't come here and rant as much as some other people.
2. What is this 'silver platter' crap ??? You're saying because I worked hard grinding 29 profs to unlock (post 9, my choice to grind rather than sit around) that I don't deserve what I earned (and paid for) ?? Let's see, 4 accounts x 8 months = 479.00. If I didn't earn that silver platterI certainly paid for it.
3. You say it's not fair for grinders to get special treatment, well, I don't think it's fair either for noobs to come in and do a few badges and one prof to get the glow either.
Ok, I'm done. I'm not saying I'm cancelling because I don't need some morons to say "Good, goodbye, quit"

TH I have a question for you, what about the people that already unlocked do they automatically qualitfy or should they be waiting like the other groups.
You automatically qualify. Hang out in the wilderness and you will be visited in a short period of time. The old man will visit you in the wilderness and send you on a quest.
TH I am guessing, but I think Kardia might be asking about PRE Patch 9 Jedi.
My main (not the jedi) opened on 13 prof's, but when I do the /check I get
" You feel a faint sense of the force "
Do I still have to quazy Unlock? or should us old timers already qualify? I am interested doing the quest phase for the rewards?

I want it to take a long time and be difficultto get Jedi, but I really need the new content. I think thats what most people here want.
Many of the one's who just want to be powerful and kill everyone/everything already hologround and got it. Casual gamers are wanting the added content I think.

Sorry no time to look through almost 1500 posts...
I did get to a silent holocron, not sure when, months ago, and ground 16proffesions total. I thoughtPublish 9turned off the unlock path so I stopped there to get ready for the trials.
When it was bumped to 8 professions did that unsilence my holo's ?
I went through3 the 4th was silent. See sig for the order.
I'll keep looking but are badges of other sorts part of this or not ?

Exactly! I'm sick and tired of morons flaming casual gamers because we're angry about this. I don't want a powerful Jedi handed to me on a silver platter, I want long difficult quests with the Jedi reward at the end. If for nothing else that the fact that there's no other content!
SOE refuses to make the needed profession revamps, or the GCW and combat revamps in any timeframe suitable to human standards, this is the only bone we have left. But even this comes with a massive catch, a complicated group system which was NEVER explained before and a seemingly broken Old Man who won't visit his backside let alone us players.
SOE promised us content, not free Jedi. That's all we ever wanted. And we still haven't got it.

Ok someone answer this for me:
Yesterday after pub10 went live, I logged on and had a Surge. A friend of mine had Glowy immediately. I finished the Imp theme park 2 hours later and also got my Glowy.
Now does this mean my friend gets instant access to the village, and I have to wait several months for the final group?

I though that people that hologrin had some xp toward the quest. Since they did grind and all, so it's less grinding for them, and I agree, they deserve it.
However, about when people received the old man visit, if we can't have it all at the same time, I think it should be random.
I've been in game for 5-6 months, and since day one, I got told of the oriented quest system. I knew I wouldn't have time to grind 10-15 professions in that time, and have an active role in my guild and my city. I wont want to grind like crazy for Jedi, but to do it at my own pace. Because I do actually play around. Do that mean that I deserve thevisit of the old manless than someone that is a professional grinder? I don't think so.
But, I decided that I did my part, I'm glowing, and I'll wait for him to arrived. And if it's bugged for everyone, then, well, we are all waiting together. In a sence, I'm glad I'm doing something else than grinding. I don't feel like I lose my time waiting.
