Adding space to Star Wars is by far more important to the game than worrying about making all player templates no better than any other template, lol!! This is what most of the complaints are about.
And you are absolutely right, the JTL expansion is a whole new game. They are introducing a whole new gamenot just a patch like many other games "expansions". You cannot honestly tell me you are not going to jump into space the moment you can, provided you last that long, lol.

From this point on in this thread, please start your post with "I'm going to use 'lol' at some point in here", so I can disregard your idiot ass and skip on to something with substance.

This little bombshell, the "veteran" rewards, the rewards for forum spammers and the total lack of appreciation for our concerns with the status of the game has drove me out for the last time.
I've stuck around (on and off) since beta 3, and now I'm just fed up. The only reason I stayed so long was in the blind hope that this game would some day be worth playing, and not just because it's Star Wars. If this game were based upon any other money-grabbing franchise, I'd have left months ago, never to return.
I have spent £204 on this game, and you're not getting another penny from me. I only hope others can see past the fact that this is Star Wars and see that it's Just a game. You want to make a statement? Then cut them off at the source.

1-of-14... I think you underestimate the issues that people are having here. It's certainly more than not wanting one profession to be better than another. For some of them, it's literally not being able to play their chosen profession at all. Some professions (Smuggler, Squad Leader, etc.) are completely useless, whereas some are grossly overpowered. These are really core issues that make the game frustrating instead of fun and to be honest -- yeah, that's more important than me being able to get in a spaceship.
And let's face it -- JTL is not going to work out of the box any more than the core game did. It's gonna be late and it's gonna be bugged and it's gonna just add to the list of serious issues that need to be fixed. Meanwhile, Smugglers still can't smuggle and Jedi are running around ruling the game.
And ultimately, from the business standpoint, JTL had better be something more than just a "Gee, whiz, I'm in a spaceship" distraction. Because once the novelty of that wears off, you're back to the same broken game you started with.

Malicious1, not so naive (check the spelling, you might learn something, lol) that i cannot one star you back, hehe. They need to add more balance to this star rating system. The people with multiple accounts can out star everyone else. ROFL! Hold on, i need to sign on my other account so I can buff my post.

Ok, I really don't want to sound like a jerk, but have-ya, Galaxies Dev Team, considered setting up a round table discussion/convention with the original Everquest crew?
From the get-go that game, though smaller in scope, nailed down their issues and fought hard to resolve them. In an equivilent amount of time, the EQ crew accomplished more than the SWG Team has. It should not be forgotten that the EQ Team was also pioneering this technology at the time.
Now, I'm not compairing the technilogal aspects of the two games here, I'm simply stating that the SWG Team could likely learn a lot about time management, content design/implimentation, and many other aspects of running a MMORPG, from the original Everquest Team.
Only pride and a couple weeks of organisation stand in the way of putting together this kind of convention. I think it would do a world of good and I think you should try it.

The dev's had better get the suits out of the game design process. There are a lot of wonderful things about SWG, but OMG please fix the problems before you release an expansion. What is this the longest beta ever?

Isn't this precisely why it was a bad idea to split the team instead of forming two distinct Development teams? Back when you tried to quell the rumor that some of your people were doing double duty or resources were being pulled off of the live game to work on JTL, isn't this *precisely* what the player community was worried about? And you went ahead and did it this way anyway?
Maybe we are "just players" but I think we've got at least a brain between us and maybe, just maybe, it would have been good to take some community input on this one. You broke it, you messed up the schedule and now you have 37 pages of negative responses in under 24 hours of having posted the new schedule.
Incidentally I'm not blaming you personally TH. Whatever your input may or may not have been on the process you are the mouthpiece for SOE to us and for us to SOE. Unless I'm specifically addressing you I'm actually speaking to the entire Development team, particularly the management who is just too shortsighted to see the end of their revenue stream fast approaching.

sorry TH, but "sometime next year" is too late for me, ill be gone in november when my accounts die. GJ on ruining the game, and taking forever to do things a simple college student could've coded better. You are all pathetic.
