This system is all very confuzzling :/

I have done 5 proffesions now, one of those being a holocron, as there is no-way of us knowing whether any of the non-holo proffesions were in fact proffesions on the path to the force I take it I am in group 4.

Is there anything we can do now to help get closer to the force, or is the only way to stand around and do nothing till we get a visit from the old man in a month or two's time. If this is the case then it blows big-time, if there is nothing to do except wait, why will people still want to play, there is no goal, no quests, just waiting till we are given the opportunity to start... again.

I think most people play this game to one-day get jedi, and if we cant even start on these quests for another several months I can see a lot more people quitting the game than previously expected.

Over the past few weeks I have been getting increasingly bored of the game, and how there is no fun in holo-grinding, but these quests sounded amazing as it would remove the need for pointless grinding and would give us non-grinders soemthing enjoyable to do on the path to the force, but looks like we can't do these quests.... thanks a lot, and I hope something is clarified, anything we can do now.... anything.... anything at all?

The reason you'r egetting you feel a surge is becasue the /checkforcestatus command is linked to the new system of gaining access to the village. The new system is tied to badegs earned. And before yougo off on you're rant that you have more than 75 badges you probably do not have the right ones to cause your foce status to reach its peak. As TH said under this new pub both people who meet the holo-grind requirnemntes and those who meet the new badge standards will get an immediate invite to the village. So if you are worred about waiting then simply get the badges you are lacking. The badges that were required for TC2 were one mastered profession, a certin number and type of POI badges which I don't rermember so just do them alll, the warren (both), Nym's badge, Jabba's badge, and either the reb or imp themepark badge.

Thos are what was required for a visit in TC2. It may have changed although I doubt it since my checkstatus gives me feel the inner glow the force is with you. I have been playing a eyar and have never holowhored. I know for sure I did one holo prof which happend to be what I was going for anyway. But I have never paid any attention to grinding after that. So I assume then that the badge requirnemnts have not changed. You may have an issue getting all of these badges quickly since word is out about them and now the warren is over run on many servers.

I have all the badges listed in the TC post, however being a Reb there is only 1 badge available in the Warren (to my knowladge anyhow). I'll be happy to go back there if anyone knows of a second badge in the warren. Till then I'll try raceing, the Valarian Theam park, and crossing my fingers.

Out of curriosity, how many lifelong Rebs have reached "glowie" status ?

Oh, and one last thing, I have done 1 holocron and 4 proffesions, while a friend of mine has done 4 proffesions and no holo's, yet when i type /checkforcestatus we both get the same crappy message "You feel a faint sense of the force", surely I should be higher up than him!

obviously you dumb-a**... i said eventually.. let's think... if you did maybe some profs, got a few badges... chances are you can wait for an answer to your f*cking question... I highly doubt your in group a... no point in floading the dev with dumb questions he'll never read and you can easily answer!

Everyone who is dissatisfied with the jedi trial part of the game needs to chill, and wait a week or 2, then decide what to think about this patch. It seems everyone is more confused then angry.

yes but it is simple questions.

can you tell us what groups are we in?

if we did holos but still went glowy when we first long on after the server came up do we auto qualify or are we still put in groups?

is the old man actully visting people?

OK, I finally got to check this last night and I get "You feel a surge in the Force", so I guess I'm pretty close.

Sorry if I missed this somewhere, but what is the full range of messages and approximate "closeness" among all the possible notifications leading up to "glowing" ?

Such as:

"Glowing"

....

"Surge"

....

"Faint sense"

....

???

A month or more ago now, I had completely lost interest in the path to Jedi, and frankly much of my interest in the game itself. Logging in to see that I feel "A surge of the Force within me", rekindled some of that old zeal for the game. I stopped reading after page 4 to be honest. I don't need all the answers right now. Actually, I don't really even want all the answers.

I love this new FS system. I love the fact that you can choose how far you want to take your devotion to learning the ways of the Force. I love the fact that I will continue to play the character I started with, if and when I dodevelop some skill. Absolutely tremendous. What an improvement. The development team promised an organic feel to the new sytem, and that simple phrase helped me reconnect with my character. This is the game I wanted to play. The joy of Star Wars is in the tale of friendship, and of a journey. The journey to maturity, as much as it is a journey to Jedi Knight for Luke. It's awesome thatI will be able to take a path of my own choosing to the Force, and make that journey a tale of my own. Play as I wish, as what I wish, and feel as though I am making progess along a path to my character'sdestiny. As for becoming a Jedi? For me, the path traveled is so much more important than the destination. Happy, happy day, that that journey is no longer a mindless tromp through every profession in thegame.

The game is the way it is due to LUCAS ARTS. The early release to the current system was ALL approved by LUCAS ARTS.

Luf -> it was common knowledge that they raised the silent holo count. That is the reason why people went from unlocking on 7-10 profs to 27-32 profs... much harder to guess more silents... People profess that they didn't know... but I and every other prof grinder I've talked toknew... how else would I have found out?

You will be on your path after all of the holo-grinders have finished and the system is on the NEW path completely. You may be called on sooner if some of the professions you did were part of your holo professions.
