Thread: Great Expectations, Major Schedule Changes and making SWG the finest MMORPG ever

ThunderHeart I hope you read this
I am a guild leader and a creator of a city
we are one of the largest at the moment on our server
and we need help
good people are leaving the game making our jobs harder and harder to maintain the city
the other cities on our planet are drying up 3 of the greatest cities imploded
Here are some suggesttions that hopefully will be small changes and help keep people in game
1) make clone centers and trainers generate month for the city... lower the maintenance on the decorations
2) More veteran Rewards
3) Lower the FAction Cost of Faction perks bases and armor till the revamp to keep the gcw going
4) Tef the Jedi
5) make the lots on the faction bases small
6) generic guild hall lots to match the other Guild leader can't do much of anything
7) loot kits keep people ocupies
8) more special events like the tusken raid
9) veteran reward loot kits for like a new speeder bike
More quanity with absolutely no quality. That's about the only thing they (yes, the devs) can think of to keep people around. Give them ph4t L00t$
Honestly, look at the so called "content" added thus far. Look at the missions. Look at how ONE dimensional the game is despite how beautiful everything looks. It's all cosmetic with no substance, and that's how every single thing they have implimented is...
So those of you on Eclipse who are leaving.....I'll take your stuff, since you won't be needing it. Send an e-mail to estevan on eclipse.

No, Vanguard: Saga of Heros.
EQs development split in 2. The higher ranking guys went to VSH, and the morons went to EQ2. SOE is doing EQ2, VSH is now independant and is published by Microsoft.
Bill gates doesnt lie.
When JTL is done that will increase to 50:1. More subscriptions means that they can hire more programmers.

thanks TH, i know the team is doing a lot, but i gotta say this
i'm gone. and i'm leaving for the same reason a lot of other people are.
hope the game stays alive and maybe we'll all come back after the game isn't severely broken.
take care
I don't think this matters and thereis no need to announce your departure as for everyone that leaves 5 new join.
Peace out and have fun, you wont find any better MMO I played them all this by far beats them all HANDS DOWN. Don't argue it! Just suck it up or die.
GREAT JOB ON THE GAME DEVS KEEP IT UP!

Hmm..
TH, if you truly are still a gamer at heart and not a bloodsucking piece of corporate trash like the folks you work for, you'll do the right thing.
Fight for us. Don't fall prey to their marketing morons. You still have a ton of subscribers who have been here since the start. How can you betray yourself? We all need a paycheck, but is this worth it to you? All your dreams of being in the gaming industry now amount you to being nothing more than a corporate whore.
I know your job is just to dictate this stuff to us, but come on man.
Only a fool can't see right through this. Are you guys that afraid of losing so many to WoW? It's inevitable! You can't save this game.
It's really unfortunate after one full year how badly broken this game is. I don't get it. I don't get how any active member of this game as well as the forums could support Sony Online Entertainment any further on any thing they ever do again.
First, I think the 'corporate whore' thing is way out of line, even if you're steaming mad.
Have you ever have to do things you might not like for a paycheck? If you haven't then you've never had a real job working for someone else.
Thunderheart is the community spokesman because he came from here. Thunderheart is gaining valuable industry experience and increasing his marketability. He has broken into the industry and you fault him for trying to stay there? Calm down and come back in a day and read the trash you're laying down.
It's pathetically greedy to think this all about you and your feelings.
I've been trying to be nice but I can't help but think that the game would be a better game without the 'me me' posters in this thread. The 'me me now now' crowd has been having their way with this game since launch anyway and look where it's at...But of course history and experience dictate that only a tiny fraction of the 'me me i quit!'s will actually gtf out. That in and of itself is more of a disappointment to me than pushed back/changed priorities in a MMOG.
Waaa too freaking bad for you. Go quit, but gimme your stuff first. I'm not adverse to the notion of playing other servers.

Once the Jump To Lightspeed is complete, the team as a whole will be re-grouped. Then the combined team will accomplish the Combat Balance, the GCW and all the other improvements to the game.

You have this huge MMORPG, you've been making a ton of money... and you have only ONE team?!? What the hell is wrong with this picture?
Where's your second team? Matter of fact where is team three?
No wonder nothing gets done and IMPORTANT things like the combat rebalance gets pushed back in favor of Jedi - what happened to the rarity of Jedi? I see them ona daily basis in starports now, I see them CAMPING all over the place, sitting around and hacking spawns for exp and avoiding trains. I thought this wasn't supposed to be EverQuest... now its EverQuest with Jedi!
But, hey, lets use our ONE team and work on the Jedi since eventually every player will have a Jedi, right?
Sorry about the sarcasm, but the idea of this large MMORPG having just ONE team working on these issues is a joke.
Thats what this game is becoming... a big Jedi vs Fencer rampage and wait until publish 10 when 60% of the population tries to unlock jedi, it will only get worse.
But SOE thinks "who cares since we will all have spaceships?"
