Thread: Friday Feature Jan 23rd Jedi Revamp
What completely baffles me is why all those Jedi **edit** whined about the permadeath... they knew exactly what they were geting in to!!.. .. i don't get it .. I really don't.
Ok Devs, obviously we have about 5 pages of people wondering what you really meant by the Jedi path thing, so why don't you pop in for a quick clarification. This wouldn't be necesery if you were not so freakin fague.

The second phase will be to rebuild the Jedi system to be quest-oriented; and toinclude the familiar elements of Force Sensitivity, Jedi-oriented quests, as well as many other elements the developers and the community feel should make up the process of becoming a Jedi. (It should also be noted that players who have put in work towards becoming a Jedi will not lose their effort. Some sort of recognition of players' efforts will be included in the new system.)
Some of you should try reading this for what it says and not for what you think it says. It's quite clear.
For those of you who are complaining that all your Hologrinding is going to waste: stop. The part in the brakets there says "Some sort of Recognition of players' efforts will be included in the new system". That means you'll be ahaid of everyone else when it comes to being a jedi. Insted of doing 20 quests you'll only have to do 5, or how ever it works.
For those that arn't sure if this is for those that are working towards Jedi or already have it the part in the brakets is also for you. "It should also be noted that players who have put in work towards becoming a Jedi will not lose their effort." Since no changes to how jedi get xp have been announced in the post we can safely assume that he is talking about to to unlock the slot.
Also it will probably be harder too keep a jedi now then ever, lots of people will think "hey, I won't lose my jedi!" and take part in lots of PVP and die alot, getting weaker, making it easier to BH's to kill them. And since they know this is going to happen I'm sure they are very close to fixing the BH problems. This seems like a good change over all, if they don't make the system too leanient, ie die 20 times and only lose 5 skills.
I guess we'll have to wait and see.
Good because i have yet to see a single Jedi run around *anywhere* period.

I honestly think this is going to cause us to see a lot of Jedi running around evrywhere, further destroying any semblance of continuity. But oh well, it seems continuity isn;t cared for, and the life of a Jedi just got drastically easier.

Thanks for doing jack crap for other professions in the game and giving in to the jedi whinner babys at the drop of a hat....
...this profession should get the same treatment of at least 6 months before they get any fixes at all where others have gotten jack sh!t for fixes to them...
Bravo for being complete jackholes Devs, you really do know how to do little to nothing right....
**edit** **edit** **edit** **edit** **edit** **edit** **edit** **edit** **edit** **edit** **edit** **edit**
...yes Im not happy....
Dude, you DO realize that about 90% of the playerbase is trying to become a Jedi? It's the end-game, it's something just about everybody wants to do. Fixing Jedi effects EVERYBODY.
Get over yourself and look at the big picture. Being an ignorant jerk isn't helping matters.
Q, will this revamp (quest system) affect the path to opening the force slot or the path to developing your jedi ? i don't understand. are you saying that quests will let you open your force slot? or will quests make you advance your jedi skills??
i dont want a player answer to this question, so please keep your interpretations of his post . the language is unclear and i would just like clarification.
Hey devs, If my months of grinding were for nothing.... GAME OVER
