Thread: Publish 7 Feedback: Bounty Hunter Jedi Tracking Missions
Just my 2 cents worth, for whatever good it will do.
1. Make Jedi missions faction-aligned, ie Imps can go for Rebels, Rebels can go for Imps, and neutrals can take either(the true BH, only in it for the money).
2. Change it so that only one BH can take a mission for a specific Jedi.
3. If the BH kills the Jedi the Jedi's "visibility" is reset and no further missions can be taken against him/her unless they do something that raises it.
4. If the Jedi kills the BH, the BH loses the mission and it is reposted onto the mission terminal until the Jedi is killed and their "visibility" reset.
5. Allow grouping on both sides, but if anyone db's the Jedi, the BH getsa mission complete and the xp, and mission payout is spread among the members of the group along with the faction points. If the BH is killed the mission is incomplete, no xp or money, but the remaining players can still fight for the fun of it. If the jedi kills the BH he gets some xp and faction points. If its another playerkills the BH, they get faction points just like PVP is now.
6. Remove the ability of Jedi's to sit on rooftops and afk macro grind, personally I consider this an exploit (I like one idea posted earlier, which is not give combat related xp within a house.).
7. Ban the idiots that are camping Jedi's at the cloning centers, it gives all BH's a bad name, and is extremely childish.
8. Fix the "target is not online" bug, it is an extremely stupid bug that should never had made it to live.
9. Fix the bug that causes BH's the do complete their mission to not recieve the xp or money they deserve.
10. Fix the tracking droids not updating position beyond the initial update, its very annoying.
11. Jedi only get "visibility" when using force powers or alightsaber around the opposite faction npc's, not from their faction's.
These are the ones i can think of to make the game more enjoyable for everyone, it would remove some of the griefing and exploiting on both sides. One idea that I disagree with was the multiple hour TEF for BH's that attack Jedi's, for Rebels it would mean no missions for that length of time unless they felt like taking out every stormtrooper around the starport in Kadaara so they can take a mission. Any suggestions on these are welcome.
There's only ONE thing these folks understand: Money. Cashflow. Subscriptions.
The best thing to do is pack up your house, put everything you really need to keep in the bank or your backpack(s), and cancel.
Send some feedback to GameSpy too, after all, they just recently posted some good articles about SWG:

Maybe that will get their attention.

Does this really surprise anyone after the griefing that they are taking? I'm not saying you or any number of reputable bounty hunters are doing this, but there are a large number who are. I've seen them sitting at the cloning centers waiting, and I've even challenged them to duel (which they'll never take cause they are cowards). As much as I hate doing it, and as much as I hate seeing it, I am now going to harrass every bounty hunter I can. And guess what... I can do it and they will never fight me.
This is a huge problem and it needs to be fixed. For the time being, I hope every Jedi out there is using game breaking methods to keep from being found (like logging in, logging out, logging back in again) to keep Bounty Hunters from accurately finding them. You might not like the 50 or so Jedi on the server doing this, but they definately don't like the griefing from the hundreds of bounty hunters out there.

I am MBh on Farstar, was getting a Jedi mission in the evenening. My Droids got that Target and i followed him to Tantoine. 1 Minute before i got there, a seeker droid told me, that the target has gone offline.
Even after that i wanted to take a look at the Waypoint,it was a Guildhall. 1 minute later 2 other BHs arrived and we were talking about the Jedi missions.
One BH (he didnt have a faction, he is neutral) told me, that he was fighting the Jedi, but was incapped then by a Jedi-grouped BH from the same guild as the Jedi. How is that possible? How can someone attack a neutral Player? He wasnt overt(=>neutral) nor could he get a TEF.
As we were discussing about that( about 5 minutes now after the jedi logged off) the mission suddenly disappeared from all our datapads. I wrote a Bugreport and a Customer ticket and explained everything to the CS agent, that took care of that. His comment was ,that it is the design of the game, that missions will be incomplete if the Jedi logs off......and that its not a bug.
So all a hunted Jedi has to do to is grinding jedi xp grouping with some other guildmembers(non-jedi professions), that can take all incoming BHs down and then run quickly in a Guildhall, where the BHs cant enter, and log off??
Rebbbbbell,
Thanks for letting me know this. I'll be sure to pass it along to all the Jedi that have been getting griefed by Bounty Hunters camping cloning centers and 3-incap killing Jedi. Are you really surprised that things like this are happening after the treatment that Bounty Hunters have given to the Jedi since the patch release and SOE's unwillingless to support / fix the jedi problem?
SOE has made it clear by their lack of action that this game is now a free-for-all where you can do whatever you want in violation of the Terms of Service. I reported a number of afk looters in the Borgle Bat Caves (this is also against ToS) and was told that SOE does not discuss their disciplinary actions with players. Since I went back to the cave and saw the same 5 people there that I reported, it's obvious that SOE doesn't care and you can get away with exploiting whatever you want in the game.
What does this say... Bounty Hunters that are griefing Jedi can (and will) continue to do so, Jedi will continue using logoff techniques to scew bounty hunters out of their missions (Go Jedi!), and you can contine to afk loot high-end items to later sell for millions of credits while ruining dungeons for people.
Great Work SOE.
