This game is so lacking in content that people will flock to things like this and the hermit quest as soon as they're released, just because there's nothing else to do that they haven't done a billion times already.
I don't know about you, but I haven't done all of the 100+ missions / quests listed here: Allakhazam quest list and I doubt you have either. Anyone who complains about content without having done all the current content can't expect to have their complaintstaken seriously...
Now if you've done them all, let me know and I'll gladyapologize, but I seriously doubt that is the case.
The dozens of bugged delivery missions with 100 credit rewards on that list should not be considered "content". After you get rid of that crap, all that's left is themeparks and the new Tatooine/Dantooine quests which I have already done.

I don't mind how rare the drops are. I think the Devs have decided to make each item drop so rare to encourage trading between players. This way the loot kits are ment to be a comunity thing and not so independent.
Actully I think it causes the opposite effect, I have no intentions of ever selling or trading a peice I pick up because they are too rare and I cant count on seeing them again. I would assume most people doing these loot kits would wish at one point or another to get ALL the loot kits meaning they would need EVERY peice they drop (even doubles, I wouldn't mind having two rugs or perhaps giving one peice to a guild mate).
I do think they need to increase the drop rate, some people feel differently and think they should stay rare. Maybe I just didn't read the description right but where does it say these peices are supposed to be rare? After all its just a rug, gong, table etc, its no Uber weapon or anything. I read that it took people on test center five weeks to peice together the naboo table. Theres a serious content issue with this game if people are willing to stand around killing meatlumps for five weeks for a table that does nothing but looks nice.
I say up the drop rate and replace these peices of furniture into something that would be worth all the time and effort, and this is coming from someone who makes sure he has every type of painting he can.
First off, the Loot Kits are a really neat idea. I'm glad I can finally get my rug!
Yes, I found a Junk Dealer, but mine wasn't in a guild hall... it was outside the Coronet Starport. Not that it really matters, heh.
And yes, I've tried to complete a Loot Kit. But it's extremly hard. I know that these aren't supposed to be items you can throw together in a day or two, but this is rediculous. I've killed hundreds of spawns and got two pieces... only one piece was what I need (I'm doing the Blue Rug). The drops for these pieces really needs to be increased. Or, here's some other ideas:
- For players who got the Loot Kit, they pieces will drop only for them. So lets say player A got the Giant Gong kit while player B got the Orange Rug kit. Both player A and B kill thug spawns, however they do not get the same loot. Because player A has the Giant Gong kit, only Giant Gong parts drop for him and no other parts. Player B only gets Orange Rug parts, no other parts because he had the Orange Rug kit. So basically you can only get the parts of the kit you own. Increase the drops for these pieces a bit, and players will be able to have a little easier time putting their kits together without getting parts they don't need.
- Or maybe let the Smugglers be able to buy the parts. You know the Jawas up at the Jawa Trading Camp where only Smugglers with Underworld can talk to them? Why not have the Jawas there selling the parts at prices ranging from 2-12k credits. While pieces would still randomly drop off spawns, Smugglers could now sell/trade the parts they buy from the Jawas to other players. This would give Smugglers an actual use for Underworld and a use for those Jawas there!
- Or trade the Junk Dealer for parts. Say one of the Junk Dealers tells you "I will give you a Blue Rug Part 1 for three Broken Datapads." You then have to find three Broken Datapads, go to that Junk Dealer and give him the three Broken Datapads. The Dealer will then give you the Blue Rug piece. Each Junk Dealer could offer to trade for different pieces-- like one in Naboo could trade three Sandstats for Sculpture Base, while another in Bestine could offer a Table Base for two Broken Datapads and two Encoded Disks. The Dealers could offer to trade maybe three or four different items for your kit. This way the junk players find could actually be trading for something good instead of just credits.
- Or simply increase the drop rates.
