I'm sorry Kacey, but to me it doesn't matter if you have your bot in a house, or evenif you have it on the top of Mt charolt on lok. If your botting your still contributing to the downfall of entertainers. Your still providing a service that we have no chance to compete with, and giving your customers unlimited access to buffs around the clock which is something they should not have.

When you can't be at your computer you should leave the game to make opertunities for those who CAN be at thier computer.

So I should tell my customers go screw off i have to wash dishes? I am a house wife with no kids I am at my computer 90% of the time. Usually with my afk up so I dont have to people I dont want. This is why I stay away from cantinas. I express my opionion and people can't handle that and get rude. There was one person who was grinding dancer in coronet on scylla who said he liked buff bots. The entertainers response was to not let him grind.

as far as mind buffs not being nessecary. Do you pvp? if you do what is your profession? so combat profession depend on thier mind. even as a TK/doc my mind is the first thing hit becuase I can heal. When I go pvp i dont have all the time to go search for a master dancer/musican to buff me. So why dont you look at my suggestions before you try to get on me. I offered an idea yet you choose to ignore it. you want us to compromise but that means you should try it too. it seems you guys want it your way or no way

I've gone over the PVP thing add nauseum already, yes i have combat skills, ive done every combat profession going except fencer rifle and commando.

Theres nothing rude here, whats rude about saying that i don't agree that buffboting in private is ok? And noone said you have to say screw you to your customers, all you have to say is sorry i have to log right now i have some things to take care of. And they can get a buff from another entertainer. If you can't be there to play you shouldn't be in game.Just because it's in privatedoesn't mean your not affecting others by removing opertunity from the game world.

If you have to step away from the screen for 5 minutes because your children need you then fine, thats understandable. But what im saying is that being a long term buffbot in private is no less of a problem than being one in a public cantina.

Futhermore your solution of a timer is most likely what is going to happen anyway, the devs have already stated that they aren't just going to carve out all ui action commands and call it a day. I don't expect the ability to go afk for 10 minutes to deal with something will be going away.

There was nothing in that post that was insulting Drygo, every thing I said is valad. If you work to make a customer base, the cash will come. As far as you threats go.. Grow up. Dont threaten people.

The post I wrote was to argue that mind buffs are essential. All other things equal.. If i have htem and you dont, and we fight in pvp.. you lose. Its common sence. It is only a select few who do not like buff bots. Most players like them. If a pole were taken by the deves on that and what the player base wished to happen was actually what did happen, you would lose on this argument.

None of you have come up with a solution on how do distribute mind buffs fast and reliable manner. Untill thats sorted out, and change to buff bots is a bad thing.

Isendel, don't make this personal. If you want to have a conversation about whether or not buffbots are good or bad, fine. Personally, I think whether or not they're a necessary part of the game isn't an issue here. The issue here is whether or not it should be acceptable for any profession to be fully AFKable.

And for the record, I don't think it's necessary to get buffed if you're going into combat. My RL boyfriend is a TKM, is never buffed, and kicks butt pretty regularly. I think buffs are another thing we as a community have gotten too dependent on... but that's a post for another thread.

Also, Drygo is a valued and respected member of the community here, as well as one of my best friends. If you start something with him, you'll get more than you bargained for, I promise you.

thread is titled interesting idea to revamp the buffing process, sounds pretty related to me.

And thethread you are in is about pros and cons of buffbots. not ideas on enhancing the buffing process

You folks opened the window to discuss the need for buffs here, not me.. It was said that buff bots are not needed, and im sayign that they are needed.. and have stated why they are needed. And as for the above poster who knowes a tka that can fight in pvp with out buffs, I would have to see that to ever believe it.

Having combat skills and PvPing are two different things. I didnt ask if you had combat skills, I didnt ask if you PvE. I asked if you PvP.

Do you completely refuse to comprehend the concept that if buffbots are gone then everybody has to get entertainer buffs elsewhere? Not just you will have to find a live entertainer but your oponent will as well, your on equal ground to find one.

Before you say it "oh but he can have an alt to buff him" yes well so can you. There is nothing anyone can do about players who chose to get alt accounts to be self suficient its just the way it is and always will be. Continuing to have buffbots is not a good solution for pvp, making pvp less mind dependant is, and that is exactly what the combat revamp adresses.

Yes i have pvp'ed, i was pvp'ing about 45 minutes ago on TC2 ahazi trying to get a buff and armor free tournament going. Refer to my above post on the concept of how everyone will be on the same level in competing for entertainer buffs.
