Thread: To far away error

I was hoping that the problems over the weekend would have diminished after theserver restart today but even more players were unable to watch or listen in Mos Eisley cantina today. Tried 5 different work arounds and they did not work for everyone. Again, moving to Lady Valarian's Lucky cantina seemed to be the best work around as everyone was able to watch or listen.
Perhaps Mos Eisley cantina is bugged.
No, it's happening everywhere and the tiny cantinas at the hunting outposts are the worst. It's impossible to inspire my guildies before a hunt and I've had them move around, go outside while keeping me targeted, everything! I sure hope this gets fixed soon.
On Flurry the entire Mos Eisley cantina usually has this error. The other day a customer was out near the bazaar and tried to watch...it worked!!! over 50m away but it worked. Ever since then we have been telling customers who get the bug to start by the bazarr terminals and head towards the cantina trying to watch/listnen along the way. Everyone so far has had success watching/listening at about halfway between the bazaar and the cantina door.
Curious wether this may be true at other locations as well. Try to get 50+m away then head back while trying to watch. A little bit of a hassle, i know, but the success at eisley has been great.
hope this helps ![]()

The only sure fire, guaranteed way to circumvent this is to:
1. Bind a keymap for Chat Edit Copy and Chat Edit Paste.
2. Target the Entertainer and type /watch or /listen in your Chat box.
3. Copy that command.
4. Hit Enter.
5. If it didn't work, hit Paste.
6. Hit Enter.
7. Repeat steps 5 & 6 ad nauseum until you: watch/listen to the Entertainer or give up completely. Enjoy the delightful frustration of when you actually DO get it stick, but mistakenly paste in the command and hit Enter because lag prevented you from realizing it had stuck, then you listen/stop listening yet again, or watch/stop watching yet again, and you get to go through the whole routine again.
Considering that this is profession-breaking, I hope the Devs have this prioritized accordingly. People who get bugged like this get extremely pissed off. Myself included. It makes the game look very bad.
New stuff for us won't mean very much when nobody can watch us or listen to us.

But I doubt it.

Hmm... I wonder if it's possible to set up an AFK macro on a loop that just sends in identical bug reports every 10 seconds... Maybe if they get 100,000 of the same bug report in a very short time span they will actually FIX IT.
But I doubt it.

Fill out a bug report. Before you send it, copy the body of the message.
make a macro that does /bug, a /pause 20 or something, then repeat it.
In the 20 or so seconds you have, set the categories and paste the text into the report and submit the bug.
But, the number of bug reports doesn't matter - it's the priority it's set to behind the scenes for the bug.
I guess profession-breaking stuff is no longer a high priority, because between us, Tailors, BE's, and Armorsmiths, we've got a whole lotta buggin' goin on.

It's frustrating for patrons especially, who after Pub 20, are trying to show up and check out the new ent additions and show support for ents. We have lovely new stuff... that you can't hear unless you want to spam /watch or /listen for Og knows how long.
A friend pointed out that if you ran out of Theed cantina to the bazaar terminals and burst ran into the cantina, it'd clear the bug. I didn't try it myself but others did report some success with this. I hate dancing with no music!
/watch and /listen function fine in player structures for me. It happens on any planet cantina for me and patrons in ME and Theed cantinas reported same problem.
New songs/dances/props/lagtacular effects don't mean jack squat if nobody can listen to me, or watch me.
It's time the Dev team got their priorities straight.
This has been an issue since APRIL and it's a SHOW STOPPING BUG for our professions.
Unacceptable.
Make a bug where a combatant can't shoot their stupid weapon, sure THEN they'd light a fire under people's arses.
