I'm probably going to get flamed by someone for this, because this seems to be a sore spot to many people. But here goes - I don't think falling should be a top 5 issue.

Now, before you start thinking up how many ways to tell me I suck, hear me out. At the moment, there is a glitch that, should you be equipped with a weapon of any sort, you never fall when dancing. Now, I know weapons might not go with your ensembles, they certinly don't with mine. That's why I wield a simple, small survival knife, the one I started the game with. Its the least noticable thing I could think of.

I know falling sucks. I know dancing with a weapon sucks too. But you've got to think, would you rather double-click a survival knife and have it in one hand while you perform, at least until bigger concerns are handled, or would you rather have 8 flourishes per dance and have all the base dances look right to observers?

I know the falling is a big concern, but its something that we can get around at the moment. There are many things on the list that are things we cannot temp. fix... so the sooner we get them perma-fixed, the better.

But their already adding more flourishes and dances and fixing the base dances was on the list too. So not sure I see your point with this one. But I do see the point that there are other things on list you can't get around like you can falling.. still tho, I think general sentiment is people don't want to have to hold an object to keep them from falling like their in a grade school musical.

Not read what everyone else has said but this is why my account is no longer active (just paid for through February).

1. Remove entertainer professions from the holocrons
2. AFK
3. Fumbles
4. Formal/lyrical bugs
5. Lack of flourishes for exotic

Raven,

The flourishes thing was used as an example, because I was tired, and couldn't think of any of the stuff we really should be asking them for. And believe me, I really would love to unequip my knife and not fall every 3 flourishes... but its not that big a deal. And if we make it too big a deal, it could end up taking priority away from things that seem like they should be more important.

So its not like I'm saying suck it up and deal with it, period. I'm just saying suck it up and deal with it for the moment so that we can ask for the things we cannot otherwise get.

Hi,

I have a suggestion to add to "the list"

By now you may have noticed that when you loot stuff, you're entire group gets a share. I think this should also apply to tips received when you are in a group. It kinda stinks that for the most part, only female dancers wearing barely nothing get tips. Granted my avatar isfemale and I do get tips, its unfair that the musician busting his butt to play usually gets nothin because he's wearing pants and a guy. I tend to distribute some of my tips around but wouldn't it be nice if the band got tipped rather than just one person?

In a room filled with novice entertainers and a master dancer . . .guess who gets the tips? not the poor guy doing basic.

<giggle> the only group tip Im in favorof is the choice of the customer not he entertaienrs , they woudl simply target you or use your name like the curent sustem but the comand would be "/btip <name> amount" this would split amongst the group giving the remainder to the original target. It hs to be costomers choice for this to be somthign I suport.

"Asking for them to have the animators stop working on space flight and start making new dances... I just dont think will get far..."

The motion captures are already complete. The only reason I feel we shouldn't ask for new dances/flourishes is that they're already in the works.

I agree whole-heartedly with Sultrina. I don't want totake tips from group members if I'm AFK. Likewise, I want to be able to choose who I tip - be it a split tip across a group of highly entertaining people, or the one person in the entire cantina who actually spoke to me, who just happens to be gaining xp faster by grouping.

It is absolutely ridiculous that afk dancing is not #1 on this list.

I walked into Theed cantina in the middle of the day today and saw 12 dancers and 15 musicians in the main room. Every single one of them was afk. I set up near the front and started dancing. A friend of mine came in and we started chatting.People came in and I welcomed them all as they entered. Even so, very few came to watch me, they just plunked down in front of some afk dancer for a few minute and left. I was in there for 45 minutes and not a single afker came back, I had no way to enter the group, the cantina was packed with absolutely no socializing.

This is not what our cantinas are supposed to be like. the entertainer professions are about socializing. Afk entertainers are destroying this aspect of the game, plain and simple.

There is a very simple way to stop people from dancing afk. Take away the option to turn off your auto-afk. Right now you can turn it off under the options menu and you can dance forever. Force every single player in this game to go on auto-afk after ten minutes of no keyboard activity. This will eliminate looping macros without going outside of the game system. Then add the fact that afk players can not gain any xp while afk. Bingo, done. A dancer goes auto-afk after ten minutes and can't gain xp from then on out. Bye bye afkers.

Every other dancer issue pales in comparison to this one.

OMG Who cares I used to be a dancer and now I am a BH but I did not care if someone AFK danced! It is impossible to get the amount of points needed to skill up if you dont AFK dance and I know that in the middle of the night if I go into a cantina and there is a AFK dancer there I am relieved What am I supposed to do fly all over the galaxy looking for one! or log out and not play because there are no dancers on! Get real let the devs fix real issues that affect game play. I support AFK dancers and dont care what they do Learn how to write a macro and leave people alone there are nuf nerfs and issues in game without creating more.

I am going to be blunt here. That statement is bull.

I am 2 boxes away from Master Dancer, and I just got Master Entertainer. I have never -- not ever -- engaged in long-term AFK macro entertaining (which we used to affectionately refer to as, quite appropriately, LAME). So, it's utter bull that you can't get the amount of XP needed to skill up without AFK dancing. I never have, and never, ever will.

What you really mean here is that it is impossible to gain the points you need ultra-quickly (e.g. in a week) without AFK macroing, and that is certainly true. But it isn't a race. You can dance thoroughly acceptably at Novice Entertainer. There's no reason to rush through skill boxes. None at all. Not even the musician's excuse that you can't play music with the rest of the band if you don't know the song they are playing. Doesn't matter with dancer... dancers can dance whatever they want and be in the group. As long as you actually ENJOY dancing (*gasp*, imagine that!), there's no reason to AFK macro because you can do fun stuff right from day 1, minute 1.

If you think the profession is boring, then switching professions as you did is the answer. Not AFK Macroing to Master just so you can dump it anyways after you are done (as always, Jedi excepted, since that is a choice the devs made -- forcing them to master a profession they don't want to master --, NOT the player).

Ravenmist,

Please bring this to the atention of the DEV's. While we patiently await their feedback on if/when/what they will do abou the sewer of AFK bodies it is totaly unfair that we have to tolorate this in our own privatly owned cantinas (by this I mean all player owned entertainment venues). Under the curent system I have the following options.

1. Charge 1,000,000 credit cover charge and add people to the entry list to controll this. That keeps the AFK people out of my cantina (or makes me rich) but it is a hassle to my custoemrs as they must ask to be on the list.

2. Stay loged in 24/7 to keep the riff raff out of my club. Please! Ricky Recardo got to go home to Lucy!

3. Add a lot of people to my admin list so they can monitor the club 24/7

The Sultrina solution is I belive simple and only fair it is MY club not the DEV's so I need a few tools from them.

1. An entertainer list (optional of course) Anyone can come into the club but if you wish to use entertaienr skills you have to be on the list! Now I can audition entertainers and add them to the list on a permanant basis or simply use it for special shows where I dont want just anyone performing.

2. Alow me to grant other players kick and ban rights seperatly without adding them to the admin list.

Ocne again its my club and if I want to keep AFK macrotainers or anyone else from performing I should have that right! I for one will not put MY name on a club that doesn't give me these features. I think that this should be extented to all player owned buildings. Med centers, ooops your not on the doc list you cant heal here ect.
