Thread: Entertainer NPC's... Your Thoughts?
You know what at one point I supported tiagas droid idea in here, but its just what he called it a compromise, and the more that i think about it i start to think why should we have to compromise, weve compromised for a year. There are no npc doctors being

There are no npc doctors being asked for, there are no buff storage crystals for doctors being asked for, when it comes to doctor buffs and heals people have to put up with the doctors schedules, and you know what they get them, so i no longer support any methods that cater to the convenience of those who have been spoiled into believing that they are OWED round the clock acces to the benefits offered by entertainers.

People dont generally have a problem finding doctor's. And you dont need doctors every 2 hours of playtime for healing. Heck you dont even need them every week of playtime for healing. We arent talking about buffing here, thats a competely different issue.
I assume the developers gave players BF so Entertainers would be useful within the game mechanic.
Combatants depend on entertainers and doctors, but morefrequently, entertainers.
There arent enough entertainers to fill that dependancy, the developers know this and it is one of the concerns in nerfing the recursive macro. (once the hologrinders are gone)
So to counter it (instead of keeping looping macro's in) people are trying out ideas.
Thats what this thread is about.
No its not, its a part of thier profession trees and hence i seriously doubt it costs them 15 points to get basic heal ability. non jedi have to take a novice profession they may never intend to use for its intended purpose, and offers no advancement toward the goal of mastering their other profession.

This is the same situation for Jedi.

Why choose a profession geared towards helping other people if you arent excited about helping others?
I am excited about helping others. I do a little hootchie mama dance everytime I get the chance too. I run the extra tailoring mile to do that special order. I do some field work to help those in need of a scout.
I adore helping others.
What I don't like is being taken for granted.
There is the crux of it my friend.
If you and any other leet dude think they can come and say "do this" "do that" "you are here only to serve me" you are sadly mistaken.
If you think that, then you should be playing a game that is on the xbox, playstation, game cube, or whatever else you have...one that doesn't have a person behind it interacting with you. That way you can be as abusive, crude, rude, demanding, degradingas you wish to be..since you only have to answer to yourself.
I love helping other people in game. In fact, I have met some lasting friends because of it.
What I don't like is being treated like crap, or like I am less of a gamer, because I like helping people.
And when did I say I share the same feelings towards entertainers as the leet d00ds?
The first profession I mastered in SWG was dancer, 3months after release.
The third profession I mastered was dancer (tried bio engineer after the entertainer "missions" made me quit dancer) because I missed it. In between those two masterings I and my friends opened a cantina outside anchorhead (before player cities).
So please, do not be so harsh when speaking to me ![]()
The droidsand NPCtainer isthe issue here, apeasing all combatant and entertainer professions is the issue here.
Why cant we talk about it with ideas exchanging back and fourth without everyone getting so upset?

You are GREATLY exagerating the effects and build up of battle fatigue to serve your own argument. You do NOT have to visit an entertainer every 2 hours to continue playing.
your using a skewed prospective as well. In order to tank the kind of creatures your talking about that generate these so called MASSIVE ammounts of battle fatigue you absolutely 100% NEED doctor buffs. Therefore you NEED a doctor every 2.5 to three hours.
In a side note im going to log on right now and go do 2 gurk missions and report exactly how much battle fatigue i get and how my gameplay is affected by it.

Really?
Even when I wasn't fighting, doing dance/music, I needed the occasional buff so I could flourish and keep working it for the fighters who meandered in from time to time.
As a fighter I know I have gone many a time, even during the day, from town to town shouting "anyone buffing".
I remember each night...about 2am....there were no doctors to be found.
What did I do?
Complain about there not being enough doctors around for my benefit?
Uh, no.
I went and bought some drink and food for my stamina and quickness.
And if that were the case, I don't think people wouldn't have many alts as doctors. Most probably did it for this reason, to have buffs when they wished them and none were to be found.
You are speaking of your own personal experience, as I am of mine. How does yours negate my own?
There are several ways to find docs when they arent buffing at the starports, just like thre are several ways to find entertainer buffs when they arent buffing. This does not change the fact that there is an huge difference in the amount of doctors available to buff compared to the amount of entertainers available to buff.

Sweetness...
Then take your own advice.
Your comment about helping others wasn't meant in the best of light...neither was the comment about the "fruity entertainers".
And yes, I read of your dancing background. Why I think you should understand what and why we are fighting so hard for here.
But why are you fighting with me?
Why not hash through the proposed idea instead of going off on tangents about entertainers not being appreciated?
