And please, no one ask me what a Ranger is doing in a Guide for Exotic Dancers. I'm not sure how I would answer that...

I would like to add, I have always respected the dancer that treats her profession seriously, although the skimpy eye candy is fun to watch, I have always prefered to watch a dancer with class. I have always given heavy tips to the dancer who wears the nice formal dresses, for some reason I find that more appealing. I do believe the term for the high level dance is exotic not erotic, so I would like to applaud dancer who dances exotic with tasteful clothes. You still look very exotic in my books, keep up the good work

What makes Flawed Diamond annoying is that she thinks that the segment of the male commnunity upon which she is preying is representative of the whole. It isn't. The majority of us pass by the skanks every day, and would rather /tip a nicely attired Dancer performing Lyrical2, or even a Newbie.

The majority of us according to your study (hoping to see thestats posted) pass by a beautiful human woman wearing an exotic leotard, while dancing exotic, to watch and tipanicely attired Lyrical danceror an awkward newbie instead.

Um, (cough) yeah, (cough) sure we do.

There are those of us that do from time to time, as I will do. But, the majority? Not convinced in any way that's true. Until I see those stats

And please stop insulting the women that chose to take the Exotic path as a dancer. It's is a valid choice. Many I know who do are not talentless bimbos, but do an excellent job of roleplaying thier characters. They are fun and entertaining. What should you expect to see in a cantina, ballet from Lincoln Center? Get real.

Haven't actually checked this thread in a while. I solved my problems with Flawed in private messages. But i will address one thing real quick.

But, i must point out, if both men and women have the same capacity to be equally intelligent, and men ALSO have the superior physique to go with the intelligence, then you can deduce that it sets them on a pedestal above women. -(My post)

"In your own medieval view, perhaps. Superior physique probably meant something in the Bronze Age. Today, however, it means very little beyond personal ego or a trophy in a body building contest.

Think of it this way: If superior physique is the difference between a man and a woman that makes man "superior", why is then an adult male gorilla not superior to a Man? The simple answer is because it has been our MINDS that have allowed mankind to survive and thrive in a predatory primitive world. Our brains are not the largest in the animal kingdom, but they are certainly the most highly-developed. Our brains allowed us to elude Sabre-toothed cats and kill huge mammoths, not our muscles.

So you can compare your physique to a gorilla's all you want but what really determines a human being's success in life is his or her brain power.
" (Sinda's post)

You know, it pays to read what people write and understand it before opening ones mouth to speak. Observe what i said: "if both men and women have the same capacity to be equally intelligent, and men ALSO have the superior physique to go with the intelligence, then you can deduce that it sets them on a pedestal above women"

So, what does my post tell you? If both men and woman can be equally intelligent and men ALSO have the physical superiority, then that makes men just that much better. And please, physical strength is needed as much today as it was in the bronze age. I'll tell you what sweety, go join the army and go running a few Killometers in full gear, we'll see how far you get. Point of fact, physical strength is still needed in todays day and age, just in a different fashion than "See stone, lift stone, throw stone."

It's an easy concept. But i'll make it easier for you.

Aleksander, I think you may be missing her point. It's that physical superiority means a LOT less than it did in the bronze age - Meaning sure, men have physical superiority, but it just isn't as important or relevant in today's age. I don't believe she was all out saying we aren't superior, but that our superiority, doesn't give us that big of an advantage as it used to. (Just my way of reading it, she'd have to respond herself)

In any event, that's just my opinion on that. I only wish you, Aleksander, would give others a little respect to their opinion/views.

So that's it? Phsyical strength and intelligence are the two traits that make up humans? Come on now... this is insulting to everyone.

Going off on a side issue, here:
"And please stop insulting the women that chose to take the Exotic path as a dancer. It's is a valid choice. Many I know who do are not talentless bimbos, but do an excellent job of roleplaying thier characters."

This applies to RL, as well...I've had two roommates in college that were dancers (one is finishing up her doctorate this year...in forensics, believe it or not..and the other is now a vet), and my current roomie used to be a DJ at men's clubs in Kansas City before she moved down here to admin for the IT VP of a global corp.
Point being that just because a girl chooses to dance in a club for a living, doesn't mean she's a brainless twit who has no talent anywhere else. Sure, there's girls like that out there...I've heard tons of stories about them...just like there's the bitter men-hating dancers and the girls looking for their next fix. But they're not all like that.
GRanted, their morals may not be your morals (And I'm using the general "you" here, not anyone specific.) But being willing to strip and tease does not necessarily equate to being willing to shag any guy around or take money for sex, either.

And yes, I'm saying that as a player who doesn't often wear revealing clothing and has never given a lapdance.

We now return you to your regularly hijaked debate.

Completely Agree with that. I know a few women who are finishing university and earning money to pay for it (and a car, and a place to live, and clothes, and etc etc) by stripping in clubs.

Nothing wrong with that. It's good money, there very intelligent women and are only there to make money. There not sluts or hookers, just 'exotic' dancers. And they make a LOT of money.

Alexander, let me throw something out to you to think about. I carry a Paraordnace .45 in my purse. That's 14 rounds of Hydrashock 224 grain jacketted hollow points. Unless you get close enough to take it away from me which I'm not likely to allow, MY .45 trumps YOUR muscles and size every day of the week. hee hee

I may not be as big as strong as you honey, but my .45 and more important.... my willingness to USE it, makes me your equal in day to day life in many important ways.

No I won't try to compete with you in a construction job or on a loading dock. But I, and many other women, have abilities and talents which you, and other men, probably don't have. Higher stress tolerance, higher heat tolerance, much clearer voices across communications channels, better interpersonal skills, better ability to empathize with people, etc., etc., etc.

If you pick any specific skill or ability its not to hard to select which sex has the advantage. But when you look at each sex as a Whole neither is "Superior" in toto. Each has their own unique and special skills and abilities. We don't NEED to compete dear. A Heart Surgeon does not "Compete" with a Brain Surgeon. Each is unique and valuable in their own way.

Yeah...this is getting absurd.

So yah, Iplay afemaleTwi'lekdoctor/CM/Rifleman/Novice Entertainerin this game and I wandered onto this thread. Geeeezus.... I thought I'd get a break from the hostility with the PvP smacktalk. tsk tsk.

I remember some joke e-mail..."if you don't want the genie to come out, don't rub the lamp."

... that's kinda my feelings about this. This is a game has a strong social context to it. You pretty much have to assume that your typical client is not a casual family man taking a break from playing with the kids. You know your demographic... and girls, you know boys.

For the original point of this thread, it's a good guide ... but calling it artistic is bulshoi. The fact is it that dance ceases to be a "performance" (based froman artistic vision) whenreally you are just catering to anindividualssexual fantasies. And that's when you're playing with fire... as every human being is wont to have more of a 'good thing'.

Asoften FD mentions intimacy (the mostdeepest and complexhuman need) in her guide, it's shouldn'tcome as asurprise that s#it can get out of hand quickly. I didn't have a problem with FDs post... it's the response of people being taken back by the occupational hazard of stalkers. If you're in over your head and aren't very comfortable when it goes bad, don't do it! You harm others than yourself when you do. Just don't do it. Try warm, friendly, clever and artistic, and yeah, evena waitress-level flirtinesscan gather tips too.Say"no" to thebig leetmoney!

And if you're getting "stalked", three simple things:

A) /ignore ... it is your friend.

B)'break' it to them and say you'reactually a homosexual man. One dancer I know has used it a few times and it actually works. (Though one person did make a scene, for which they were banned.)

C) threaten a /report and follow through if necessary.

Now, for the rest of this... short and sweet as possible:

Ok, so we've established men and women can hurt each other quite effectively in their own practised ways.

As far as whatis goingon inthe averagefemale psyche, I don't know.Won't even pretend to.Theremany things we share as humans Ican relate to, others...psssht.. <shrug>. Men tend to be more driven, forceful and single-minded--that's part of the reason why we die younger and commit 90% of all violent crimes... but ourobsessiveness, when properly channeled, is responsible for things like the "better mousetrap"you play SWG on. Call it our charm. My experience is that women tend to help provide a more intuitive guidance and support to the mad flurry that is the male mind. It's the power we sometimes foolishly hand over, but what's love without a little trust?

And the fact ismen and women make a pretty good team. Yay, gohumans! It's just whenanyone distrusts, lies, threatens or keeps silent...itreally f-s things up. It's those things that are very much in our control and should be looked at and not this "my sex can beat up your sex (emotionally/physically)." That's kind of battle of willsis just childish.

Truth is that modern technology and culture isblending gender roles at a very quick rate. So, all in all, II guess we'll all need to try to listen more to each other and be more flexible.

And Alexandr, true strength is modest and doesn't need to assert the obvious. Besides boy, you wouldn't be half the man you are today without the lessons, emotionalnurturing and possibly milk that your Ma gave to you. Be a little more humble--you can only take life, not make it.

And Flawed, ditto about the modesty... and don't bring firearms into this ineven a half-amused manner. It'slife and death you're dealing with and it should be given the reverence it deserves, as a healthy mindset is key to responsible gun ownership. andthat machismo BS is bad enough for guys. Unless you really like that stuff and then the SWG Rifleman forum might be of interest. (ha ha.... ha.)

...it's just a game... it's just a game...

*sigh*

Exactly, Sinda.

Let's see how well the soldier's ability to runmassive distances carrying gear saves him from the 5'2", 125lb F-16 pilot who guides aCBU-87 in over his head and perforates his fine physique with several thousand steel fragments. My suspicion is he'll die a painful death, just like anyone else...
