This has got to be the most frustrating thing!! To fail because we didn't follow something right is one thing, but to have us poll an audience who give little to no clues is just insulting. Worse than having master dancers still falling whendancing unequipped. Talk about breaking the spirt. Dancing is the thing i like most about SWG, but with issues like these I'm finding it easier an easier to consider dropping. I think us dancers need a little more love from the devs.

Logged on first thing this morning to fail the quest again. Had all my hot keys lined up and went through as many dances as possible performing the flourish they said they liked plus as many others as I could throw in. Still got no audience member to say anything useful other than "I really like flourish 7". So in another 25 hours I'll hope for a better roll of that audience... but beginning to think it's like getting loot from a GDK.. when the loot drop is broken.
Somewhere there are a couple of devs laughing their a$$es off over this quest.

Ok, I keep seeing people say not to listen to the audience. No, that's wrong. Do listen to anything they tell you.
Also, people are still thinking it's a bug when the audience doesn't tell you everything or that they are missing NPCs. No, they just don't always spawn for each answer. It's a random roll which ones will spawn: useful info ones or just talk ones.
There has been a thread in the Corr forum where TH asked about increasing the time before the "performance." I suggested that either the random roll be taken away or the 24 hour reset be taken away. The answer was no on the 24 hour reset going away, this is the way future quest failure timers will be handled for other areas of the game (yay for Panthu guessing!). No word on the possibility of getting guaranteed NPC feedback yet.

Panthu, I understand it's a random roll to get the audience to provide us with info about what they want. But can you tell me if it's also a random roll that they will like anything?? I find it hard to believe that of the 5 - 6 dances I choose none of them are what the audience wants to see. The 25 hour timer isn't my idea of a good time but I could deal with it better if I had some glimmer of hope that upon my next try I'd be able to decipher the finicky tastes of the chosen audience. It sure *seems* like completing the audition is a completely random process. A random roll for your audience participation, a random roll that they know what they want, a random roll that they like anything, etc... And can anyone tell me how a pair ofblack slacks and a black dress blouse don't match?? (got to love when the feedback not only doesn't provide info but is completely off track)
I certainly don't think increasing the time *before* the performance will do anything since I can easily poll all members of the audience in the time currently allotted. The problem is that we are not getting information. If the audience isn't going to just come out and say I want to see dance X then the "audience staisfaction level message" needs to be more frequent so that I can go through more dances and more flourishes in the allotted time - rather than bothering to wait to see that they don't like this dance either.

The likes and the dislikes are set when you tell the manager you are ready. They will have all of the likes and dislikes no matter what. The NPC spawns will give you correct information if they give any information, it's just not a sure thing you will always spawn one with each piece of info.
I know, it's crazy making. Hang in there.

Panthu why wouldn't they just make the 24 wait after each pass ? For this or for future things.. I mean instead of just punishing some people make EVERYONE have to go through it.

They say this is a normal thing in most MMORPGs now. I guess making a standard 24 hour phase might feel too much like a gate? Where as this is a challenge? That would be my guess.
My complaint here though is that the polling of the NPCs is enough of a challenge, the info they give should be guaranteed.

My problem with the wait is entirely personal. I'm failing it a lot, whether I try as a musician or dancer, but I'm failing due to my poor vision. Without going into the details, I can only see a few small parts of the screen at one time. I think we've got it now where my boyfriend will read to meover my shoulder while I work the fkeys and mouse over the /changedance window while friends work the audience. We'll see how this goes but I'm guessing it is going to take at least a another month for me to complete both quests.

Most of my problems in succeeding have been down to lag I think
In Coronet theatre I have to speak to each npc twice in order to bring up the conversation, and I failed once when I had 30 seconds left to get on stage, but failed instantly because I did not get on stage in time. Even my timestamps confirmed that I had enough time left.
Also I failed the second musician perfomance last night for no apparent reason. I did the right flos and songs, avoided the one's they didn't like.
The only thing I can think of is the accarragm -- one NPC said something about entetainers always looking spaced out. So I will ditch the drink for next time
I have been asked to perfom lyrical in the dance audition and in a perfomance, so not sure what is up with that.
But otherwise I like the quests
But hate that all the non entertainers think it is for Jedi, and having to explain to them that it is for new content, and have them tell me that that sucks

Ylis, That's exactly what prompted me to ask Panthu about what all might be randon with these quests. I've spoken with at least 5 entertainers now who did get the audience to tell them what dance and flourish they wanted to see, yet they still got an unsatisfactory rating when they performed those. I like having an audition quest but I hate feeling like I am going to fail no matter what I try. The lag is an interesting concept. I haven't noticed a problem with lag while I am in the Theater in Doaba but there is a lotof lag outside - since it's close to the starport. Perhaps I'll try yet another location after my failure tomorrow - already arranged to have some people meet me to help verify there's no audience member hiding so not going to change the location on them. I have not used accarragm during the audition and would find it hard to believe that would be coded into the quest.
good luck to us all,

I understand physical difficulties but they can be overcome here. You do not have to poll one person in the audience, this step can all be done by your friends. They can then type the details into group chat and you can focus on that one area of the screen until it is time to perform when you then switch to your button bar as the focus.
Don't get bogged down in trying to pollanyof theaudience yourself, even with good vision this is difficult at best. Friends working the audience is the most efficient and effective way to handle the situation. Good luck I know you can do it

Bleh, falied again as a musician last night
I did exactly as I was instructed
I didn't miss a single npc
I even had someone helping me spot them and speak to them
I take everything back
The quests are evil
