I'll log into TC and do Theatrical for a while for anyone who wants to come see it working (yay!!!).
Scip made me go back to New Unity from Skystone last night, so I'll be in the NU Cantina outside of Theed.

Ok, guys, here's the deal... people will not see you where you are, they will see what you are doing though.
This means, you will get out of out of range messages and you will think you are in the middle of the stage, but other people will see you walking down the stairs or maybe even in the wall, lol. So, still use the high drift dances carefully. Using flos to "travel" no longer works if you are changing directions either.
Example: Basic Flo 7 is often used to move yourself by turning during the moonwalk parts
On Live: You see yourself turning and moving during the Flo, but others do not. They see you do the flo in the spot you were in, then you do the weird "warp/walk" to your new position.
On TC: They still don't see you move to the new position during the flo, but now they don't see you change to the new position even after the flo ends. Now they don't see it until you stop dancing, then you "run" to the new spot.
I think this is a huge improvement, but we still need to be aware of what's going on so we can try not to dance on top of each other or in walls.
The thing that seems to work the best is taking breaks, i.e. dance a little routine, stop dance (people see you run to where you really are), start dancing again for another little routine, rinse, repeat.
Still a little goofy, but much more visually pleasing and immersive (Dancers don't dance 24/7 irl, the do a routine, then stop, do a routine, then stop
). Now that we can stop and start with out a delay again, this will be easier than itwould havebeen.

I'll add to what Panthu said... I grabbed two computers and logged in two accounts to see what it looked like.
And I must say, I'd rather have the broken base dance over how it is now. At least that could be worked with.
I did tumble without flourishes, and while on the dancer's view I was seeing a nice straight line back and forth, the other char saw the dancer going all over the place, twisting around in strange ways. And even without a flourish the positions were getting way out of sync.
The server knew where I was just fine. I tested this by putting my droid in formation. It followed my path as I was seeing it. But others saw me nowhere near my droid. At it's worst I was on one side of the cantina and others saw me all the way over on the other side.
There's no way to do drift correction unfortunately because you don't know where others see you, and everyone could be seeing you in a different spot.
