If it makes you feel any better, I have a male dancer and he doesn't wear a fleshwrap

Mythoughts on the "flashy" outfits:

  1. They're fine when used in conjunction with particular dances. It looks really good when used with exotic dances, (although I prefer the exotic leotard), or maybe even lyrical. It looks trashy when you're shakin' your sh*t in a fleshwrap while hopping around doing footloose.

  2. Not everyone became a dancer to be either a stripper or a ballet dancer. Some of us like the performing aspect as a whole. Here, refer to #1. It's just a costume that works well in some situations.

I have a costume for just about every dance I have by now that goes well with that dance, as well as favorite "tech effects" to go along with it. (I really wish we could use prior versions of some of them though, as I really liked the glowy rings of the first version of /dazzle, and the second-to-last violet smoke bomb is much more preferrable to the sickening green of the last.)

Just don't judge every dancer entirely on the clothing they wear, that's all. If the only thing they wear is a fleshwrap and they spend the whole time dancing spamming /kiss and /flirt, treat them like the virtual wh*re they're trying to be, I guess. No complaints there.

I personaly own a flesh wrap and I like it, Yes it's revealing but It looks more exotic than "whorish" as some would say. At least I don't dance in my undies like 90% of the dancers out there. And if your so worried about your children seeing it, First of all it's a 3d toon not a real person, second they see much worse on TV, and third Don't let the watch the game if your so concerened, the game is rated teen for a reason. I find nothing wrong with the more exotic outfits in the game, if there was something wrong with them they wouldn't have put them in the game.

I have 2 fleshwraps (yeah I'm a shop-a-holic). The first one is a soft rose which matchs my lekku strips (rose on lt. blue) and the 2nd is a nice sapphire blue which is a good contrast to my basic skin tone. For dancing exotic I really like the flesh wrap I've yet to see an exotic leotard on anyone that made me go wow I want one of those! As said before I wear different outfits for different dance styles and now that I'm finally master I can pick the dance style that fits the band, audience and cantina atmosphere so I'm changing outfits quite often and I'm getting pretty good at changing outfits under the cover of a smoke bomb

Random thoughts:

* Bern, we love you for that.

* I only change outfits when I leave the dancefloor and "disappear into a back room." Since I'm RPing, it doesn't make sense for me (in my eyes) to change on the dance floor.

* If you're not so topheavy that you topple forward when you try to stand on tiptoe, then you're not going to be totally exposed when you're wearing an open jacket.

* If you ARE wearing an open jacket...and aren't totally exposing yourself...make sure you have a look...aka, Frontier Chic or somesuch...to go with it. If it's a look, it works. (Well, not for everyone, of course, but...)

* For those of us who are poor for some reason or another (ie, saving for our own cantinas), experiment with what you have...there's a wonderful little low-level artisan "short simple robe" or somesuch that makes a great skirt to dance in. A friend who doesn't actually play saw me in one and wondered which movie had catholic school girls in it.

* Every fleshwrap I've seen so far has been in pale colours...I'm begining to wonder what lapis or black or vermillion would look like.

* As has been pointed out, interacting with the customers is tres important.

* Hotels are also a good place for healing...when you can get the crowd.

Another whiny post from people who's morals and ethics are just twisted. A little virtual flesh gets you upset and yet you can slay humans, aliens and animals on a whim and it doesn't bother you or your "young one" one bit? LOL That just seems a little off to me really. Point is if you don't like it then don't look, don't tip, no one will care as plenty of tips will come in from other players who have some respect for the jobs the entertainers do. Get off your high horse and take your foot out of your own behind for a moment.

I finally asked a dancer who was dancing formal (I think...it's hard to tell with the animation) in a flesh wrap how she puts up with the wedgies the butt floss gives while she's leaping around like that. She laughed. I don't think she got my point...

Too bad this person didn't wear more on the night they conceived. My fear is this type of person propagating.

I'm sure your solo boycott of tipping will alter the attitudes of hundreds of dancers. I'm also sure that allowing your children to slay animals or other 'people' and rape the environmentis a better moral lesson than seeing the human body.

/sarcasm off

(Cough)Treehugger(Cough) But honestly , I believe he has a point, This isnt PanyRaiders The Video Game, its star wars. Its an abomination to allow this to happen, its as bad as language, as much as you dont want to believe it 7 yr. olds do play this game and i dont want my little brother seeing this crud or listening to /shouts like f**** you *********** . Its disgraceful

In the event there are some dancers out there who think you have to wear a flesh wrap to get a decent tip I'd like to make it known that some of us who are forced by the game system to visit bars do NOT appreciate seeing an excess of flesh, particularly those of us with young children.

I will not tip anyone wearing a fleshwrap, nor heal them, nor even give them the benefit of watching them.

You do have the option of covering yourself. If you choose not to that's your choice, but I'll not be tipping you.

Elek

Who cares?

I know I don't. I'll wear whatever I please and you can leave your "sensitivities" at the door.

Personally, I think you are just a cheapskate, and this is a convenient way for you to not tip and have a reason.

Hey, stupid post required a stupid answer. *shrugs*

I wasn't ever going to get a flesh wrap because it just wasn't my style. I wanted to be more classic and formal. Of course once I got to the exotic dance my attitude changes. I was just going to get and exotic leotard. I also got the bikini leggings and a revealing bikini top.

Then I was given a flesh wrap as a gift. I love it. I usually don't wear it during the day. I put it on at night when it is late.

But let me tell you. since i have put that thing on my tips have increased.

But teh flesh wrap has not tainted my classy atttitude.I still refuse to do lap and table dances.
