Thread: New Inspiration Buffs
Sirii roll yourself a normal looking male character and then go play it and tell me how many tips you get from playing that way. Those tips you are getting are coming from the male need to appeal to a woman. I can honestly say that a good 90% of my tip income is gained from this fact that I happily exploit to my benefit.
As a test to see if male entertainers have it worse off than female entertainers I created a male character on test and played him exactly the same way I play my female character and the friendly folks in the NU cantina were ready to ban me from the building because I looked "gay".

Not only are they adding stupid flashy icons, horrible sound effects and magical faery dust particles, oh and did I mention MAGICAL healing... but they are forcing level based grouping AND medics can only heal you if grouped and you are in combat!!! Wonderful isn't it!?
I see so many people cheering for this new level based grouping when they don't even realize that in the Live game this just won't work for most. What am I supposed to tell the newbie friend I just got involved in playing this game...sorry, I can't group with you cause you are too low lvl. Or what about people that want to work on a new prof while keeping their master.... sorry, can't do that anymore cause everything is lvl based and you have work linearly. The whole combat upgrade is seeming like a farce.
I'm sorry everyone, I'm just getting more and more disappointed on a daily basis with this whole thing. If they keep even 50% of what is in test, I will not be able to continue playing. I mean, the new armor is great, but what about the role players that like to be dancers wearing storm trooper armor or that like to hold a certain kind of weapon. The new templates are nice, but now changing them will be a nightmare because you have "level based experience". They take some great concepts and implement them in the worst possible way.
Sorry, I'll stop ranting...i'm just seriously fed up.

Esharra, I realize you're at work, and we may need to wait until tonight, but how do you plan to address this? There seems to beentertainersfor it and others against it.
I think we all like the idea behind it, but some of us are skeptical about the implementation drafted in the design document.
nothing is going to be lost if our "proposal" isn't posted until 7 or 8 pm. This isn't going live today. Please give her a chance to get home, have some chocolate, and prepare for battle.

How do I plan to address this? It is my responsibility to report to the developers the feedback and commentary of the Dancer community as expressed in this forum. And that is precisely what I will be doing..in numbers and verbatim. If you know of others who have an opinion and have not expressed it here, please encourage them to do so.
The proposal is only going to In Concept now. It is something that can wait until this evening when I get home from work. When a proposal is In Concept, that's the best time for us to get our feedback in regarding the designed implementation.
Thanks everyone, for contributing to the discussion.

Ah! You're right, I'm sorry if I sounded hasty. I have full confidence that this community will be able to work with this. I really should stop worrying so much about things.

Mine worked fine too, it was the very first thing I tested...

Anyway
While this is "in concept," lets go post our constructive feedback and (sorry Sirii) hope they give us some sort of interface. As I posted there I still think Utess' suggestion is the best for discouraging long-term AFK while not overly hindering short-term AFK, and giving us a way to know who is watching so we can request payment.
personally I still think that as long as we're completely passive, even if AFK were removed, people won't respect us. How many times have we been told that we don't deserve money because we use no consumables?
But regardless of how you view passivity go post constructive suggestions please! Numbers are important here, so they don't blow us off.
I am pleasantly surpirsed to see no trolling buffbot owners ('cept a single post by that one), though

Best way to find out would be to cut and paste one of your songs from live over to TC and just try it
